so it feels a little bit weird

but we are in edinburgh it is actually my birthday today

if anyone didn't know my sisters and i all shared the same birthday

so we've just come away on a little family trip for the week in edinburgh

and i'm so excited i haven't been to edinburgh in about two years

and it's one of my favorite cities in the entire world

so we're just gonna have a really good time

and i don't know how much i'm gonna end up vlogging

but i thought i would just do it just

so we can look back on it

if you can hear a slight buzzing apologies the boiler is right in the room

that we're staying in so it might be a little bit annoying

but we're going to leave in about 10 minutes this morning we're going to do dean's village stock bridge

and just honestly walk around it's a really gorgeous sunny day like blue skies

which i'm

so happy about yeah i feel like it's going to be

really funny trying to vlog in this tiny airbnb with six of us

but i'm really excited for today it doesn't even feel like

my birthday i can't believe i'm yeah i'm gonna spiral it's the birthday spiral

but it's gonna be a good day i'm excited and i'll for bringing you guys along with us.

that yesterday i did not film anything at all other than

some b-roll obviously yesterday was our birthday we had a really

lovely day we spent the entire morning in dean's village

because the weather was just perfect it was sunny it was blue skies.

It was literally the dreamiest birthday weather.

I couldn't have asked for better.

We walked around some shops and I had one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my entire life.

I'll pop the place up here.

I would highly recommend, I believe it's near or in Stockbridge.

It was just such a lovely day and then it was raining and then we came back, freshened up.

We went out for dinner and then we walked around near the castle at night and today we're here.

We don't know exactly what we're doing today.

I feel like today's definitely a little bit more of a chill day.

We're going to go for brunch but this morning I woke up,

I don't know if it's,

I honestly think it's because we got caught in the rain last night.

I woke up with such a head cold,

like my head was pounding in the morning,

my nose was really runny

so I'm just really really hoping I don't get ill for the last couple of days that we are here.

But today is definitely a little bit more of a spontaneous one.

We're going to go to some photo booths,

some shops, just walk around.

I love Edinburgh so much,

I just love chilling around here and walking around,

it's my favourite thing so I don't know exactly what the plan is.

Hopefully I will talk to you guys a little bit more in this vlog today than I did yesterday

because yesterday I really just wanted to soak up the day obviously

because it was our birthday but we're having such a lovely time

and I feel like it's going so quick

so I'll take you guys along with us whatever we end

up doing again today like I said hopefully I do talk to the camera more

but I hope my headache goes away soon but I'm excited nonetheless

morning it's our last full day in edinburgh

and i again it's another really spontaneous one it's a really chill one we're gonna go around some shops

so first of all we're gonna get some lunch at cot it's a french restaurant

that i've never been before you've been

i feel like this vlog is going to be really short

and 90 b-roll so again i'm going to try and make sure

that i actually talk

but we're gonna have

lunch we have been walking around for a

while

and we've just taken pictures out in front of the castle

i honestly i never want to leave edinburgh every single time

that i come here i end up just wanting to move here i look around

and then i'm just literally trying to think actively as to how i can make that happen

hi guys as you can see i am now back from

edinburgh i did not film essentially anything the morning of us coming back

because our train got cancelled not only did our train get cancelled

but essentially every lner service on the hour got cancelled and only the ones that half passed

two kings cross were running so it was absolute chaos

so i meant to get the train at 1 p.m

and get to london for about 5 however i ended up getting home

that night at 11 p.m so i just didn't film anything

that aside i had the loveliest time in edinburgh edinburgh just

feels like such a home away from home for me now

even though i've only been a handful of times it's one

of my favorite cities ever it's just one of those places

that i can definitely see myself living in and i just love the city.

I love the people in it.

I love everything to do there.

I'm just obsessed with Edinburgh so much.

So getting to go there again was a real joy.

I thought before I end off this vlog,

I could give you a little haul of all of the things that I bought.

I did not buy a lot in Edinburgh.

I really didn't want to come home with all that much.

I know it was my birthday.

I got some beautiful, beautiful gifts.

However, I wanted to be very mindful of what I was buying.

So first and foremost, I suppose we should go through the things

that maybe I bought myself and then gifts that I got when we were there.

First and foremost, we're going to talk about this first because this This is one of the strangest,

most insane things that I've ever found in my entire life.

you will know how much I love to thrift things and books.

Finding antiques, whether that's in furniture or books,

also thrifting clothes and just vintage items.

I love it so much.

So I'm always venturing.

I'm always looking in charity shops.

I'm always looking in flea markets, antique shops.

However, it was on my birthday morning.

We were walking to Dean Village

and on the way we randomly walked past this massive charity shop that was solely second-hand books.

I had never heard about this bookshop before.

I had never seen this bookshop before and I'm just in there browsing

and my mum and my boyfriend are kind of going further down into the bookshop.

It was honestly massive.

And then they're like, Leah,

you need to come here because you're going to want to buy this.

And what they saw behind a glass cage was a signed copy of The Little Friend by Donna Tartt.

Now, obviously, again, if you are new here,

you may not know, but Donna Tartt is one of my favourite authors.

The Secret History is one of my favourite books of all time,

but I do also really love The Goldfinch.

The Little Friend is the only book from her that I've yet to read.

And as they call me over and I'm looking at it, it's £10 pounds,

It's insane to find it anyway,

but especially on my birthday morning,

What is very strange that on our last night in Edinburgh obviously I started packing my suitcase

and I was putting this into the suitcase and what fell out was a newspaper article.
