10
Imagine everything you've ever dreamed of, possible just like Aileen Gu proves to us.

and end with the one that will change your life because it's such a mic drop.
18
Let's go.
19
Let's start with the one that will rewire your mindset, and it's probably the opposite of what you've been told.
20
Aileen Gu does three massive things.
21
She trains, she studies quantum physics and international relations, SLAY, and she models.
22
But that is only the big three things you see.
23
On top of that, she still sleeps enough
24
and all the other little things behind the scenes to maintain her social and healthy life.
25
I relate to Aileen because I actually played college basketball and I studied
26
guilt of doing multiple things and to understand that instead of duality being a weakness, it's actually a strength.
27
When you feel lost or overwhelmed with all the things on your plate
28
or just the prospect of trying to achieve multiple goals at once, you may consult some internet advice like I do.
29
And I tend to follow some entrepreneurial creators.
30
One of the most common pieces of advice is to focus.
31
In fact, the advice online goes so extreme that to say by cutting out hobbies,
32
vacation, you're going to be that much better at this one thing.
33
Theoretically, it makes sense, right?
34
Investing more time and energy into one thing.
35
But I've discovered actually recently that this can be a very toxic approach if you are someone who genuinely has different goals.
36
For example, if you're good in school, you might think, ah, I want to do makeup, but it seems like a waste of time or I shouldn't join the acapella group.
37
But the fact that you want those things and continue to want them, even if you push them away, will only cause you more distress.
38
Eileen Gu shows that actually not a disadvantage, but it can create advantages.
39
For example, she's studying physics, right?
40
So in one of her interviews, she describes how she can make crazy maneuvers in the air during her skiing
41
because of how she understands the physics of those same movements.
42
The better you're able to learn and absorb information, the more efficient you can be no matter what you're doing.
43
For example, when I'm on snow, I feel I'm able to utilize visualization techniques more scientifically.
44
And at the same time, loving this sport brings what she learns in school to life, likely causing her to enjoy physics even more.
45
And guess what?
46
Doing multiple things well instead of just one is actually even more likely to make you stand out.
47
Eileen created an easier way to be rare, because if you think about 10 % of girls skiing, just as an example, and then 10 % of girls model,
48
and then 10 % of people go to Stanford, even though obviously those percentages are way smaller.
49
0 .01 % of girls can do all three of those things.
50
And fun fact, that's actually how you can stand out in college admissions, too.
51
Because it's really hard to be the number one math elite in the country
52
or the best basketball player in your entire state.
53
But if you have two pillars that you're good at that complement each other, that can really help you stand out.

56
You don't have to look a certain way to be powerful while being in an extreme sport.
57
Eileen inspired myself that women can be both feminine and love fashion
58
and to do sports and be academic at the same time because I have loved fashion all my life, but in college I just rolled up in sweats because I thought
59
that was the most efficient way to go about my life.
60
Even in my adult life when technically I have more time,
61
I thought, well, I should follow my work for the day rather than picking what outfit I'm going to wear.
62
I've since learned that by spending more time on my appearance because it fills my cup, makes me really excited, I actually show up better in my work.
63
Mindset number one is good and all, but it doesn't matter if you don't think you can pull it off.
64
And that's exactly why key two is so important, is to believe there is enough time.
65
When was the last time you saw something cool you wanted to try and thought, ah, but I just don't have time, or I'll do that when I have time, or your mom asked like,
66
no, I don't have the time for it.
67
It's such a common excuse that we automatically pull out without actually stopping to think if it's true.
68
You might say that you've always wanted to build this business, but you don't have time, yet you could be scrolling on social media for a couple hours a day.
69
Technically, your hours are filled and you feel busy, but you don't realize that by shifting the allocation of your calendar, you can make time.
70
Do you see how Eileen is the epitome of efficiency and prioritizing what actually matters?
71
Her whole day is extremely busy, even not having to eat in the car,
72
but she's completely happy and content with that because that's how she chooses to pack her life.
73
She will not choose to not do any of the things she is so excited about, and therefore she accepts that this is the kind of schedule she'll have
74
because those 24 hours are a valuable resource
75
that she will not spend a lot on watching a new Netflix show
76
or catching up to what other celebrities are doing online.
77
The key is to come in firstly with this optimistic time.
78
And then it's just a question of how.
79
Isn't that exciting?
80
Just problem solving, fitting the puzzle pieces together, and figuring out how you're going to make that happen.
81
Whether you believe you can or you can't, you're right.
82
You can only figure out how to make something possible if you first assume it is possible.
83
You will spend more true effort figuring out a solution when you know that there is a solution.
84
Okay, so the time thing is solved for doing it all,
85
but what if I just don't Eileen Gu started from a young age to get skiing lessons.
86
Listen to this carefully.
87
People get so caught up in the fact that they have limits
88
that they rarely exert the effort required to get even close to them.
89
Your brain and body are way more amazing than you think.
90
And Eileen's awareness of this is why she can leverage it.
91
I apply a very analytical lens to my own thinking and I kind of modify it.
92
You can control what you think.
93
Like you can control how you think and therefore you can control who you are.
94
Like I'm 22.
95
So with I want to be.
96
Since Eileen understands neuroplasticity, she's actually given a scientific reason for growth mindsets.
97
This is why in my previous video, I've recommended that everyone from a young age to start playing sports.
98
Even before Eileen knew the term neuroplasticity, she was putting in action because when she goes to practice, tries a movement over and over again, putting in the reps day by day,
99
she can see herself improve, building that muscle memory.
100
things.
101
Every single thing is a muscle.
102
The first time you should expect that it feels awkward or is difficult, but you should believe in your ability,
103
especially when you're younger, to learn quickly and to get better at the next rep.
104
And a 1 % improvement every single day is a huge difference by the end of a year.
105
That's why this awareness of your capabilities before you even think about your limits is
106
so important because you cannot use features of yourself that you don't know are
107
Don't be fooled by when people share their dreams on social media
108
because sharing your goals can actually make you less likely to achieve them
109
because public acknowledgement of your goal makes you feel like you've already achieved something.
110
This will release dopamine, which will reduce your motivation to actually put in the work.
111
And that's why Eileen's philosophy is that you only need receipts.
112
This is crucial because what you see online are all the achievements
113
and it seems like they're all overnight successes and you start to feel down on yourself when you don't achieve
114
But you have to remember that 99 .9 % of the effort are things that no one ever gets to see.
115
That's why you should revel in doing things in the dark when no one is watching you, rather than feel pressure of being a big talker.
116
It's not even about walking the talk, it's Don't even talk, just walk.
117
Just execute what's in your head.
118
And here's the thing some brutal honesty for you, you likely have not even tried close to enough.
119
You think you've tried hard, but you really haven't.
120
In fact, a comment that I get quite frequently is, how do I know if I've tried hard enough?
121
Well, Eileen's response is something like, sports are really honest because you can't lie to yourself.
122
You know when you stayed late and other people weren't there.
123
You know when you gave 100 % in training day in, day out for months.
124
And so that's a big reason why I build and instill that confidence in people is a really special and unique form.
125
Remember how I said Eileen has aura in her work ethic?
126
Why is she able to work so hard?
127
Because she knows that the best signal of your efforts is the proof of the result.
128
It's the fact that I look back on quite literally years, like decade of hard work of pouring my heart and soul into this sport.
129
And so it's, yeah, it's trusting myself, but it's building that trust every day.
130
That's why sports and like I mentioned, day by day are such a great reflection
131
and keystone habit for you to realize the little gains you can have over time.
132
Because if you see yourself visibly improve, hey, that means you have put in a certain amount of effort.
133
It is a direct translation of your input to output.
134
If you're actually practicing and iterating on your reps, it is impossible not to improve.
135
You need to be so stubborn and believe in the proof more.
136
And here's where a lot of people make this mistake.
137
They will Oh my gosh, they probably just got that because of luck or wow, that person doesn't know what they're doing.
138
But isn't the proof of their good life enough for you?
139
You should believe in that proof more, and that way you will be more influenced to create your own proof.
140
little by little every day to create the winner's effect.
141
That is why in the CEO method, E being execute, execute means you're taking the minimum viable action toward your goal.
142
Kick off one visible positive impact you see and you're like, wow, I'm going to create a positive feedback loop now
143
because I want to do something even more and better and to repeat that dopamine you get from real results, not from saying you will get results.
144
By the way, if you want to dive deeper in how to
145
and disciplined even on days when you don't want to do anything, you can check out my free seven -day transformation guide.
146

147
Now, receipts build your self -belief, but here is the mic drop moment that is one of my absolute favorite quotes from Aileen.
148
"I train like I've never won and I compete like I've never lost." This attitude is how Eileen,
149
after years and years, over a decade of doing the same thing over and over again,
150
she still goes into the gym ready to run just as much as she did the past years.
151
She's ready to train on the slopes just as much or even more than she did when she was younger.
152
In practice, she has something to prove to herself, which is the effort, which is to put in the effort without the arrogance like she's ever won anything before.
153
every Olympics.
154
Now, the second part of this mindset is something I personally have struggled with, whether it's in tennis or basketball or volleyball.
155
Honestly, if you know Ron Weasley from Harry Potter and how he plays Quidditch, okay, this is a very niche explanation.
156
But basically, this character from Harry Potter struggles mentally where some games where he's feeling good, he'll do awesome.
157
But other times, if he feels like he's heckled or too nervous, horrible.
158
And that was me for the longest time.
159
Maybe in practice, I can make all my three -pointers or free throws, but then in the game, I'm too afraid to even take the shot.
160
In sports and competitions, when it matters, you need to channel this killer energy, this killer mindset that you are a killer.
161
Okay, that was a lot of killers, but I hope you know what that means.
162
You have to believe that you are the best in the room.
163
Legends like Kobe Bryant or even in other industries, Jenny from Blackpink has said that when they enter a room, they just believe like they're the best.
164
Meekness, humbleness will not help you in those situations where you are trying to win.
165
That is not being rude.
166
That is not being too much.
167
It is claiming what you've worked hard for.
168
Which of the five keys did you like the most and why?
169
Importantly, how are you going to begin to apply it to your own life?
170
Let me know down below and make sure to read each other's comments
171
so we can build a really great supportive community and help each other.
172
Remember that you're on your own path.
173

174
In fact, when I first discovered her and how she was doing all these things before the age of 18, I honestly feel a little bad about myself.
175
So if that isn't proof, that comparison is the thief of joy.
176
I don't know what is.
177
There will always be taller mountains.
178
But that's if height is the only thing you're looking at.
179
That's not what true holistic success is.
180
Real success is your happiness of fulfilling your own potential.
181
And that's why your success is inherently unique to your own.
182
And you can never compare yourself to anyone else.
183
You just have to be honest with yourself that you are putting in the reps, that you believe you can make time for what matters.
184
And of course, to have that killer mindset when it counts.
185
Now remember to sign up for the free seven day transformation guide down below.
