And this is we're hearing unconfirmed reports this morning that the suspect has been removed from the building.

A nightmare scenario unfolded in Bakersfield, California, Tuesday.

It appears he's going to be on the second floor west end.

After police say a man entered a chase bank around 1

PM local time with an apparent bomb strapped to his body and began making threats.

They say he barricaded himself in the building with several community members trapped inside overnight.

Bakersfield police revealed two of those hostages had been released.

We were able to negotiate the release of a second hostage,

and it does appear that everybody else in the building is still in good health.

But police say the situation is far from over,

as an unknown number of hostages still remain inside the building.

New video shows what appears to be a woman in distress inside that building,

kneeling to the ground.

Then another woman appears and seemingly kneels to the ground out of sight.

Earlier in the day, police swarmed the area and locked down several government buildings, including City Hall.
