And in this case, it's another video, another scroll, another hour gone.

Because yes, we live in a world that is constantly trying to take our attention from us,

but we are also most vulnerable to that when we are already struggling, when we're already looking for a way to escape what we're feeling.

That's when constant overstimulation becomes something you rely on and without even realizing it,

it starts to take over your entire life.

Losing control over where your attention is going affects your life negatively in so many different ways.

But from my experience, one of the biggest prices you end up paying is

that you also lose control over your attention span.

Now, when you lose your attention span through constant scrolling, consuming, distracting yourself.

You don't just lose focus, you also lose your ability to do hard things.

And if you can no longer do hard things, how are you going to build your dream life?

How are you going to build your dream business

when you open your laptop and within two minutes you're checking your phone because now you're bored?

How are you going to become educated on the topics

that interest you when you start a book and then you're scrolling before you've even finished the first page?

How are you going to figure out what you truly want in life

when you can't even sit with the silence of your own thoughts?

Our minds are our most powerful assets, having control over where our attention is going,

التظليل الصوتي (Shadowing) تقنية تعلم لغة مدعومة علمياً، طُورت أصلاً لتدريب المترجمين الفوريين المحترفين. الطريقة بسيطة لكنها قوية: تستمع لصوت إنجليزي أصلي وتكرره فوراً بصوت عالٍ — كظل يتبع المتحدث بتأخير 1-2 ثانية. تُظهر الأبحاث تحسناً كبيراً في دقة النطق والتنغيم والإيقاع وربط الأصوات والاستماع والطلاقة.
