Hello welcome to my English teaching channel today I am joined with my husband hello what's your name Jamie

and Jamie is going to ask me some questions get to know me questions

because I have now been on YouTube for two years

so I set up my channel two years ago in May

and it's grown so quickly to 57 000 subscribers

so jimmy's gonna do a little get to know me question so let's just get started

okay let's go first question why did you start youtube rebecca

so i started a youtube channel because i am a teacher in real life

and i really in school it's very structured and you have to do

what you're told and follow a curriculum so you can't be that creative.

Whereas I wanted to teach completely independently and use my own creative style

and spin on things so I wanted to create whatever I wanted

and not be told what to do when teaching

so I just decided to create a YouTube channel and I have full

independence of the creativity of my channel which I love so that's why.

What's the most rewarding part of being a creator and what's the hardest part about being a creator?

The most rewarding part about having a channel is just all

the comments all the positive comments of everyone saying how much

the video has helped them I never thought I would actually

help people in real life you never think you'll reach people

so that's the most rewarding part and the The most challenging part is uploading every week.

It's really hard to motivate yourself every week to create a channel especially

when you're doing it for free i just do it for fun

so it's hard to be what's the word consistent every single week

but i try i well i do i do it every week no matter what even if i'm tired

next question what's the favorite video you've ever made it?

Well that's an interesting one.

My favorite video.

Well I love videos where I bake and cook

and you guys seem to love those videos as well so all my baking and cooking videos they're my favorite.

What's your favorite comfort tv show?

My favorite comfort tv show would probably probably be Friends.

I think that is a lot of people's comfort tv show

and it's just so relatable and easy to watch and funny so I love that.

What kind of creator on YouTube do you want to be in five years?

Oh five years I find it really hard to think about the future

so in five years well I would love for the community to grow

and I would love to maybe create more courses or write book

so let me know if you'd be interested in that

and maybe not have to teach in the classroom full-time in school

because I have a full-time job

but I don't know I don't mind working full-time either

but it'd be fun it'd be fun if YouTube could make that happen.

Okay next question What is something you bought recently that you regret buying?

I'm not a big shopaholic,

I think that's because I live in the countryside so it's hard to go shopping.

But I do buy a lot of clothes, kind of.

So maybe some of the clothes I bought aren't actually that nice.

A skirt I bought, I regret buying that skirt.

Next question.

What's the funniest thing you believed as a child that isn't true?

And this is interesting.

When I was a child,

I believed that you could only be a granny or an auntie.

And if you were a granny, you would grow old.

And if you're an auntie,

you would stay young because my granny was older than my auntie.

And I used to pray that I would become an auntie so that I would never be old like my granny,

which is actually quite sad for my granny.

but turns out you can be an auntie and a granny

and you're usually an auntie first and then a granny i'm actually an auntie now

because my sister just had a baby

so that's what i believed let me know in the comments

if you what you once believed as a child and something funny like that

what's the tiny inconvenience that ruins your whole day Something inconvenient for me is driving.

Say there was traffic or something that would be annoying

or my car broke down that would be very inconvenient and ruin my death.

What kind of child were you?

I was a fun child.

I loved playing and I have a twin brother

so my twin brother and I just played together all the time so we were best friends.

What was your dream job growing up?

My dream job, I'm not sure when I decided to become a teacher,

I think I was 17.

But as a child, I don't know if I had any job dreams.

I just wanted to live life.

Were you shy or loud in school?

I was very shy in school.

I'm actually a very shy and quiet person.

I don't like talking that much.

So I do think it is weird that I'm a teacher and a YouTube teacher as I'm an introvert.

What was your biggest teenage phase?

As a teenager I was quite a rebel.

I liked to break rules which is funny when I'm shy but I also like to break rules for some reason.

Even though I had a good upbringing I just probably did it for attention.

What is something younger you would be shocked by today?

Younger me would definitely be shocked that I have a YouTube channel

because I'm actually a very private person and now I have a YouTube channel

so that is quite a random thing about me.
