When it comes to the advantages and disadvantages of studying in these situations, I think they both offer very different benefits.

In my view, the main advantage of studying alone, like the woman in the picture, is the complete lack of distractions.

It allows for complete focus, high autonomy, and self-pacing.

You don't have to wait for anyone else to understand a concept.

However, a distinct disadvantage of this setup is that it can feel quite isolating.

And if you get stuck on a difficult problem, there is a total lack of immediate peer support.

Unlike individual study, working in a group allows for shared knowledge, peer teaching, and diverse perspectives, which makes problem solving much easier.

That's a valid point for why people choose it.

But the downside is that groups can easily lose focus due to noise, off-topic conversations, or differing learning paces, which can make the session quite inefficient.

Overall, while group work builds teamwork, I believe independent study is often more efficient for deep concentration.
