Hi, welcome to the IELTS Speaking Test.
2
In this first part, I will ask you some questions about yourself.
3
First of all, let's talk about place, house, and town.
4
Okay.
5
Which town or city do you live in now?
6
I live in Ho Chi Minh City now.
7
It's a big and busy city full of motorbikes and people.
8
There are many coffee shops, convenience stores, and supermarkets around my place, which is very convenient for a student like me.
9
Sometimes it's noisy, but I like the energy and the lifestyle here.
10
Are there any things you don't like about your area?
11
Yes, one thing I don't really like about my area is the traffic.
12
During rush hours, the streets get super crowded and noisy, which makes traveling quite stressful.
13
Besides that, the weather is hot almost all year, and sometimes it makes me feel quite uncomfortable, even though I enjoy living here.
14
Do you live in a house or an apartment?
15
I live in an apartment at the moment.
16
It's not very big, but it's comfortable and has everything we need.
17
And what I like is that it's close to a park, so I can go there for a walk or play badminton in the evenings.
18
For me, it really fits my student life in Ho Chi Minh City.
19
What is your favorite room in your home?
20
Why?
21
My favorite room is definitely my bedroom.
22
It's the only place where I can have some privacy and relax after a busy day.
23
And it has a big, comfortable bed.
24
I spend most of my time there, like playing games or reading books.
25
Sometimes I even study on the bed.
26
That's why I like my bedroom the most.
27
What things make your home pleasant to live in?
28
Why?
29
What makes my home pleasant to live in is mainly my family.
30
My mom always prepares delicious meals for me.
31
My dad is very supportive and helps me with many things in daily life.
32
Besides that, I can spend time playing and laughing with my brothers and sisters, so the house always feels lively and warm.
33
Are the people in your neighborhood nice and friendly?
34
Yes.
35
Most people in my neighborhood are nice and friendly.
36
They usually greet each other, and sometimes we have small conversations when we meet at the park or coffee shops.
37
And when I'm too busy, I sometimes ask them to receive deliveries from me, and they're always happy to help.
38
That kind of kindness makes me feel comfortable living here.
39
Do you know any of your neighbors?
40
Yes, I know a few of my neighbors.
41
For example, the family living next door often chats with me when we meet in the hallway, and sometimes they share fruit or snacks.
42
Like I told you before, they also help me receive deliveries when I'm not at home.
43
So we often talk with each other, and sometimes even go for a coffee together.
44
Do you know any famous people in your area?
45
No, I don't know any famous people in my area.
46
Most of the people I see are just students, workers, or families living thereby.
47
In the city, many people also wear masks when they go out, so it's hard to recognize anyone.
48
That's why I've never noticed or met any famous people around my neighborhood.
