The stars have fallen of the prophets, now you have the companions.

The narrations I'm going to mention to you, see them through the context of Rasulullah now telling the companions everything that's going to happen to them after he dies,

with remarkable specifics.

so the first one when he calls Fatima when he's dying and whispers something into her ear

and she starts crying then he calls her back and he whispers something into her ear and she starts laughing Aisha pushes,

pushes what was that? the first thing that he shared with me was

that he was going to die that he's not going to come out of the sickness that made her cry

the second one you'll be the first one to join me And that's exactly what happened.

This young, beautiful, healthy, and I mean beautiful, of course, externally and internally, like the woman who was just like her father,

salallahu alayhi wa sallam, suddenly gets ill and passes away after the Prophet, salallahu alayhi wa sallam.

And the Prophet, salallahu alayhi wa sallam,

says to his wives that the first one to join me will be the one with the longest hand.

so Aisha radiallahu ta'ala anha she says when the Prophet said

that I would be followed by the longest hand the wives of the Prophet started to measure

like okay he's telling us the first one amongst the one who has the longest hand is going to die first

Sauda radiallahu anha actually had the physically longest hand Zainab radiallahu ta'ala anha Bint Jahsh had the shortest hand physically

but as Aisha radiallahu anhu said oh she was subhanAllah the

most generous of the wives of the Prophet salallahu anhu her sadaqah

so when the Prophet salallahu anhu said the long hand he didn't mean physically he meant something else

and she was someone subhanAllah who would give away everything Umar radiallahu anhu would get so frustrated with her

her payment she would give it away Umar radiallahu anhu would plead

and have people intercede please at least take the money

that you're due it would just go and go and go and go and go and go.

Zainab was the most generous of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ.

To the point that she said, Allahumma la yudrikuni, that, oh Allah, let it not come to me.

This money, again, fa innahu fitna, because it's a test for me.

And, you know, Omar radhiallahu ta'ala anhu heard that she's even making dua, that money doesn't come to her anymore

because she wants to just give it all away and she wants to focus on her ibadah.

Umar radiallahu anhu said This is a woman that Allah wants good for And so he kept giving her,

giving her, giving her Umar radiallahu anhu went personally to give her a thousand She took the thousand, she waited for him to leave Umar radiallahu anhu waited outside

And he saw her coming out to give it in sadaqah Like whatever she had to eat, she kept everything else She wanted to give away to the point That she donated her kafan

So she had one kafan for herself And when a kafan was given to her She said, I'm going to donate this one

that's how long her arm was

رضي الله تعالى عنها constantly giving

so the Prophet ﷺ imagine living in that community he just painted a world where

you're going to die this way you're going to die this way this is

when you're going to die this is when you're going to die this is what's going to happen

Abu Bakr

and Umar the long hadith of the Prophet ﷺ where he

saw a dream where he was drawing water from a well

and then Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه took the bucket started drawing from the well as well

and the Prophet ﷺ said And he struggled a bit.

Then Umar took the bucket and he took so much water from the well that he gave to everybody around, even the animals.

And that was a sign of the length, the duration of the Khilafah.

Abu Bakr RadhiAllahu Alaihi Wasallam was extremely short.

Two years and some change.

Umar RadhiAllahu Alaihi Wasallam, a decade, spread Islam throughout the world.

Then you have the hadith of Bi'r Aris and Uhud.

Aris where the Prophet ﷺ was dangling his feet in a well one day.

And Abu Musa al-Ash'i radhiallahu anhu said, everyone's looking for the Prophet ﷺ in Medina.

Where did he go?

And they just found the Prophet ﷺ relaxing in the outskirts of Medina in a garden

and his feet dangling in a well, ﷺ.

And Abu Musa said, I'm going to guard him so that no one bothers him.

Abu Bakr finds him and he asks permission.

Abu Musa asks permission from the Prophet ﷺ, can Abu Bakr come in?

he said let him in and give him the glad tidings of Jannah

Abu Bakr radiallahu anhu goes and sits next to the Prophet and starts dangling his feet in the well also

Umar radiallahu anhu naturally finds him

Abu Musa asked permission the Prophet said let him in and give him the glad tidings of Jannah

Abu Musa said I was hoping my brother would be next

because I see what's happening here the glad tidings of Jannah

so they're sitting in this well the Prophet ﷺ next to Abu Bakr and Umar.

And then Uthman ﷺ comes.

And the Prophet ﷺ says, go ahead and let him in.

بَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ عَلَىٰ بَلْ وَتُصِيبُهُ After a disaster that will strike him.

He can come too, but it's going to be after a tragedy.

Uthman ﷺ comes and he sits across from them.

Wallahi, I took the picture from my phone, subhanallah, that Saeed ibn Jubair says, the way that they're buried is exactly as they were sitting in the well that day.

Uthman was sitting across.

I stood right behind the grave of Uthman and Al-Baqir.

And I took a picture of the green dome just perfectly aligns.

As if he's sitting across from them.

The way he was on that day.

When the Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, ascends Uhud.

And he has Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman.

And Uhud shakes and he says, Be firm, Uhud.

You have upon you a Siddiq, Abu Bakr, a man of truth.

Umar and Uthman, two martyrs.

He just told them they're going to be killed.

so he's painting a picture of what's going to happen and then it gets specific Abu Bakr dies a natural death

Umar as Hudayfa ibn al-Yaman who's narrating the hadith and he's the secret keeper of the Prophet

and Umar is asking about what's going to happen

and Hudayfa says to him don't worry ya amir al-mu'mineen inna baynaka wabaynal fitnati baban mughlaqa

between you and the fitna is a shut door.

And Umar radiallahu anhu said, will the door be opened or will the door be broken?

He said, no, it'll be broken.

If you watch that conversation, you have no idea what just happened.

Umar radiallahu anhu understood that he was the door between prosperity and fitna.

Youksar, he would be killed.

And Umar radiallahu anhu says, it will never be shut again.

And Uthman ibn Mad'oon says in a hadith in a bazaar

that when the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was talking about the fitan and the trials and tribulations to come to the ummah, he said there will be a door that will be locked between you and the fitna

as long as this one lives among you.

And he pointed in the direction of Umar R.A.

So Umar R.A dies exactly as the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said.

Now comes Uthman, like the world is unfolding from the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam as he used to see what would happen the next day,

everything is falling into place exactly as the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam said that it will fall.

Remember the day before Badr when he went and pointed to every spot and said, this person will fall here, this person will fall here.

Now it's Uthman radiallahu anhu's turn.

The Prophet ﷺ is sitting amongst his companions and Uthman radiallahu anhu walks in, he's wrapped up, and the Prophet ﷺ said, this person is going to be killed unjustly in the fitna.

And Uthman unwrapped his face, and the Prophet ﷺ was asked him, and the Prophet ﷺ said, yes, him.

The Prophet ﷺ told Uthman, Allah is going to give you a garment.

and people will demand you to take that garment off.

Do not remove it, حَتَّى تَلْقَانِ Until you meet me.

Telling you not to resign from your khilafah until you meet me.

Aisha radiallahu anha says in an authentic hadith that one time Uthman radiallahu anha entered and the Prophet ﷺ told him, come close, I'm going to tell you something.

And he whispered something in his ear and Uthman radiallahu anha's face was changing colors.

Prophet ﷺ said, you understand what I'm saying to you?

Uthman said, I understand.

And he said, come down.

And just as he whispered in the ear of Fatima and told her exactly when she would die, he's telling Uthman exactly how he's going to die.

So he spoke about that.

And he said, salallahu alayhi wa sallam, that after I'm gone, you're going to see much fitan and turbulence.

And they said, ya Rasulullah, so how do we save ourselves? stick to the trustworthy one

and his companions and he pointed to as he was saying

that remember the whole theme of the day of judgment coming is the loss of trust stick to

that truthful one and the people

that will be with him he said whoever is saved from three things will be saved my death the dajjal

and the murder of a khalifa who is adhering to the truth and fulfilling his duty

be spared of these things

right in that regard so he predicted

and he said exactly alayhi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam what happens to Ithman radiallahu alayhi wa sallam

and then comes Ali radiallahu ta'ala

and Ali one day is sitting with us Zubair may Allah be pleased with them both

and they're best friends they're buddies they love each other you love him oh Zubair he said yeah of course

he said to qatilhu wa anta lahu you're going to one day fight him

and you will be the one in the wrong what?

where did that come from?

Prophet ﷺ is saying that's the fitna

Ali radiallahu anhu reminded him of that

when they faced each other on the battlefield

and Zubayr radiallahu anhu walked away

and was killed as he was walking away by one of the people of fitna and martyred

the Prophet ﷺ said taqtulu Ammaran al-fi'atul-baaghiyah Ammar radiallahu anhu is

going to be killed in the transgressing army the first war that happens then amongst the companions civil war

Ammar radiallahu anhu is killed and it makes things clear.

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told Abu Dhar radiallahu ta'ala anhu he would draw from the fitna.

يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ أَبَذَرُ May Allah have mercy on you Abu Dhar.

You'll walk alone, you'll die alone and you'll be raised up on the Day of Judgment alone.

And that's exactly what happened to Abu Dhar.

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam held up Al-Hasan radiallahu anhu

and he said in Ibn Hatha Sayyid this one of mine is a leader

and it may be that Allah azawajal will bring together through him two believing armies,

146

two Muslim armies will be reconciled through him

147

and Hassan makes the greatest peace treaty in Islamic history and reconciles the two armies

the Prophet ﷺ with Al-Hussein Jibreel ﷺ comes to him one day said,

Jibreel just came to me and he told me that this son of mine is going to be killed in Karbala.

And he brought me some of its dirt.

That's the first seven decades of Islamic history

told by the Prophet ﷺ with precision to them about the death of the companions one by one.

I'll end with this, inshallah ta'ala.

You then come to the last of the companions.

Because remember he said that I am amanatunni ashabi, I'm a protection for my companions.

And then when I go, the companions have to face something.

Then the companions are a protection for something.

The last of the major companions of the Prophet ﷺ was who?

Anas ibn Malik he lived to be over a hundred years old

and he used to say he said

that I am the last person on the face of the earth who got to pray towards and pray towards

I'm the last one on the face of the earth that exists from a generation like imagine Anas,

you're holding on to him so precious the last one from

that generation that has that

and he would say وَاللَّهِ مَا مِن لَيْلَةٍ إِلَّ وَأَنَا أَرَى

166

فِيهَا حَبِيبِي صَلَى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمِ he said I swear by Allah there isn't a night

167

that goes by except that I see my Prophet ﷺ my beloved one in a dream

168

every day he sees the Prophet ﷺ in his dream

169

أنا صَدِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ in the flesh he touched the Prophet

170

ﷺ he served him for all those years you want to hold on to him He would start to cry.

And then he passes away 93 years after hijrah between the age of 103 or 107.

And I leave you with this narration.

And I apologize for the time, dear brothers and sisters.

A man by the name of Abu Tufayl Abu Tufayl al-Layfi Abu Tufayl al-Layfi the last companion to die.

and I was the last major Sahabi but imagine on the face of the earth the last person

who says it's an authentic narration from Sa'id al-Jariri I saw the Prophet

there isn't a single person left on the face of the earth who saw him Ya Allah,

the last eyes to see the Prophet

and he would say I'm the last person alive amongst you

who saw the Prophet they've all died in Syria they've died in Palestine they've died in Iraq, they've died in Medina they've died in Egypt,

they're all dying and there's one more left a man who buried the generation after generation after generation

and when he died رضي الله تعالى عنه around the year 728 at the age of about 110 after Hijrah.

He was an old man رضي الله عنه. When he died, that's when another sign of the Day of Judgment comes

because this is the first time you went from thousands of people who saw the Prophet to hundreds, to dozens, to one

and this is the first time there was not a single

person in the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ who saw the Prophet ﷺ with his eyes.

And so in history, this is when living memory becomes transmitted memory.

And it represents the turn of the page, the end of Nubuwa, the end of the lives of the companions, where you have no more wahi, you have no more prophet,

you have no more direct correction.

You used to be able to go to the Prophet ﷺ, you used to be able to go to the companions, that's all gone now.

Which leaves us now with what we are left with and in the chapter of Zihab As-Saliheen, the going of the righteous will continue bithni Allah Ta'ala next time.
