We're talking about founders in AI, tech, you name it, making millions of dollars.

And we're going to find out how they were able to become so successful so young.

I am, yes.

What do you do?

I'm an entertainment publicist.

I'm actually part of the School of Hard Knocks team.

We started a Hard Knocks Women's channel.

We talked to successful women like yourself to give advice to our generation.

So what do you do?

We do public relations for entertainment figures, like actors, athletes, musicians, and founders.

How long ago did you start this?

Six years.

What's the most fun money you've made in a single year?

Oh my gosh, I don't know if I can tell you.

You can give me a range if you want.

Okay, high six figures.

High six figures.

I was like 23.

You obviously work with a lot of very successful people in the industry.

What's the best advice that you've been given so far from someone within that industry?

The best advice my mentor told me, she said, people will forget what you say.

People will forget what you do, but they will never forget how people make you feel.

You always say network is your net worth.

How are you building your network?

I went from making minimum wage to a six-figure business in less than a year.

I was really focused on horizontal movement.

So I was networking with my peers when I was an assistant.

People who were in like the cubicles next to me as

other assistants have gotten me some of my biggest clients to date.

Not being obsessed with the CEOs, but treating the assistants with the same amount of respect.

And because you were so young when you started this business, did anyone not take you seriously?

I actually used to lie about my age.

What is the biggest learning lesson about financial literacy than making money that young?

Yeah, definitely to not buy a bunch of designer bags from a brand you don't even like.

Like I bought them because I felt a lot of social pressure in the music industry.

Everyone, all the music executives are trying to flex like the artists.

Yeah, I just want to dress how I want to dress.

So don't feel pressured.

I'm not telling everyone you should stop buying designer, that you have to become a homeowner before 30.

Just figure out what your goals are and save up.

She went from minimum wage to a high six-figure business at 23.

The best part is she got really deep with us

and she told us how difficult it was to make that much money so young.

We're both millionaires.

How old are you guys when you guys made your first million?

27. I was 28.

I'm a part of the Hard Knocks Women's channel.

So what do you guys do?

Do you guys do something together or separate?

Together.

We're the dog-obsessed humans that took puppy yoga and made it a wellness category.

How did this all begin?

What's your guys' story?

Yeah, it started with our mental health journey.

Went through depression.

Our dog saved our lives.

It was such a difficult time, but it inspired us to create a business where people could spend time with dogs without the commitment of owning them.

And here we are today.

We've created this incredible wellness brand.

We now have 12 studios across North America.

We are the first ones to scale it.

So what's the most amount of money you guys have made in a single year?

$8 million this year.

So you guys actually moved from Canada all the way to the U.S to start the business?

Yeah, so we actually launched in Toronto and then we moved to New York.

Why take the risk, though?

Because that's a huge risk to come over here to New York and start everything for scratch and bootstrap in a way.

So why start it in New York?

It was working in Canada.

We looked into the States.

There wasn't a scalable puppy yoga brand, and we thought we need to be the ones to do that.

And if we were going to stay in Canada, we'd be stuck there, and someone else would have built it in the States.

So now that we've built it here, we're ready for the next country.

Do you think the U.S is the best place to start a business, then, you think, or to even expand your business?

I would say New York is definitely our cash cow.

The people here, the businesses here, the networks you built, even just as an entrepreneur, it's totally worth it.

If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

You guys are expanding here in New York.

Where are the best places for entrepreneurs to go scale their businesses and expand?

What other states do you guys think they should go to?

I'd say next up is Chicago.

I'd say San Francisco and Santa Monica are definitely hit markets.

Do you guys ever deal with like imposter syndrome?

I think with time you come to like really see the difference between confidence and competence.

There's a lot of people that I've met who are the most competent people ever and they have imposter syndrome.

So how did you guys go about going bootstrap all the way into your 8 million?

Like what was that one thing that helped you guys get there?

Build an experience or product that's simple, sticky, and people are obsessed with it.

And I think that a lot of people will add a lot of bells

and whistles on a concept or idea or do so many different things.

A simple model is always best.

So for us, we had a couple failed businesses before we started PuppySphere.

And when we did our first class, it was night and day.

People were lining up.

We were selling classes without any paid ads.

So you guys kind of went into, like, how you guys started it.

Why did you guys start it?

Oh my God, we actually met at the dog park.

We were both corporate baddies who were very depressed in our corporate cubicle jobs.

And we both had our dog and we wanted to offer the benefits of puppies

and dogs to people who can't commit to them.

Did you guys ever have any mental barriers that you had to break through in order to actually have this successful business?

I feel like as an entrepreneur, you're constantly shedding new skin, especially when you break past the 5 million mark.

One thing that I've learned is networking with men is like easier in a way because, you know, there's always like kind of an ulterior motive, but they're willing to give you contacts and meet with you.

But to break into the woman groups is everything.

Women support you without that ulterior motive.

And of course, I'm not hating on all men, but I do have to say that like when you get in those female groups, it's beyond better contacts, better conversations, and they never have strings attached.

Your guys' whole concept is very, very unique.

Something that's like very 2026, I would even say.

Was there anyone that didn't take you guys seriously because of this concept?

Totally!

Oh my gosh! So many!

People would call us the, that's a cute little business.

How's your little business going?

And at that point we were making like two million dollars.

And I think that it actually makes you more successful by being under the radar

because there's less competitors that will come in at that time

and that actually really helped us succeed and bootstrap this business to this point.

The ethical treatment of animals is absolutely important.

How do you guys then basically make sure that you guys are always the on top, the winners of this whole concept?

It's putting animals first and bringing capital in now so that we can scale quicker.

You guys work together, you guys are best friends.

A lot of people would say to not work with their friends or family.

Like what challenges are you guys facing working together, if there are any?

Being brutally honest with each other and understanding

that both of us have like the business at heart

and every decision that we make is really for the business and not against each other.

We are like husband and wife and wife and a husband depending on who needs what at a certain time and day.

We've always had that.

About three years ago, I lost my sister to suicide.

You know, grief comes in wave, and you never really know when it's going to hit you.

And so I wanted to create that space also for my family, where they feel like they can go back to work

And also, they're surrounded with puppies.

So we've seen it firsthand how they do help mental health.

A lot of people would say that they'd rather just bootstrap and kind of cheat their way into getting rich.

How important is that in general when you start scaling your business?

I mean, for us, we're working with live animals and- Live four dogs.

So we have to.

Yeah, so I think for us it's like, we wanna build something that we believe in.

We wanna build something that people show up to and they're like, wow, this experience is something I wanna come back to.

And so that the animals leave more socialized and more confident.

I started my career in real estate, then went into crypto and now just invested in Anthropic.

But I've always tried to go on the riskier side because in your early 20s, you can be able to take those risks.

It really comes back to discipline and who you surround yourself with.

So for me, even though I didn't understand investing, I found an investing coach in Australia, and that really opened up my world to understanding how do I actually build a portfolio?

And I think within this world, because of AI, you have the education at your fingertips.

So it's really about the tenacity of you having that discipline to go out and source the information for yourself.

How do you source your information?

I do a lot of podcasting, which actually helps me to understand things deeper.

Like I find the most incredible minds, sit down with them and interview them.

But you can do that, honestly, by just knowing how to ask the right questions.

I think so much of right now today is don't talk about yourself, know how to ask the right question.

No, dropped out of high school.

Because not a lot of people will even say that or even do that.

So what have you learned going from a dropout from high school all the way to a million dollar company?

I think I just developed this grittiness where I didn't really care what other people thought.

I wanted to pave my own way by doing something differently.

And I wanted to retire young.

Like I genuinely want to create a family.

And I think at this age, you have nothing to lose.

I've lost multiple millions in companies.

And I am grateful for those experiences because it makes me who I am today.

What did your parents say about you dropping out of high school?

My parents are very weird people.

And so I think they accepted me because I knew that's what I wanted.

And I think at the end of the day, you have to find something that you're passionate about and go all in.

I think if I went back, I wish I worked for a hungry entrepreneur because I wanted to be able to learn on someone else's dime.

Like I learned everything on my own bank account, which back then I didn't really know many entrepreneurs.

In Australia, it just wasn't common to see young women being entrepreneurs unless they were influencers.

And I really wanted to create a business, not just be a content creator.

Every day.

At the end of the day, no one's going to think about you after you do the talk, do the panel.

And I think if you step back, you actually realize that if you don't do the thing, you're not living in your purpose.

Oh my God, all the time.

Like this year I left a company because I wasn't aligned with my business partner anymore.

And what happened with that?

Because a lot of people say when they work with a co-founder, for example, it could be challenging.

What's your best advice for that since you've been through it?

Date before you get married.

In a relationship with a business partner, you need a yin and yang that really understand each other.

And I went full throttle, not realizing that.

I think the biggest thing about business partnership is you are in a marriage.

And at the end of the day, you have to respect each other.

But at the same time, it's so okay to walk away and I wish that I understood that earlier and actually followed my intuition.

No, so for me, I've always compounded my assets and my businesses together, but at the same time, I also, for me in this new age, it's how can I make more passive income?

What have you learned about entrepreneurship that a lot of people don't know about?

What we don't realize is AGI is around the corner.

So the chief business officer of Google X, he said that next year he sees that artificial general intelligence is going to take away everything that we do as CEOs,

which is very hard for us to comprehend.

And I think right now, if you have any idea, whether you're an OS system or whatever it is that you want to get out into the hands, build a moat, build your audience,

really make sure that you have your distribution channels because now is the greatest time to build wealth.

Do you think that a lot more in-person events

and just in-person overall things are going to start appearing more

and more because people are going to start being basically sick of AI?

A hundred percent.

In real life, culture is so important right now.

And that's why we're actually doing an AI immersive experience in Florida, because women need to come and actually see how these operating systems are being built.

They are going to be focused on cultural events, in real life experiences, but also taking care of their wellness as well.

My mentor has always said to me, never be afraid to give it 120%.

Like, at the end of the day, I've been in private capital and it's very hard because it's a male-dominated space.

And a lot of people didn't take me seriously, but they remembered me.

So give advice to the woman right now who is in a room full of bed, maybe in that niche, like tech, for example, and she's not being taken seriously.

How could she make herself fit in that room?

Ask questions, be curious, really think about how you're able to understand where their pain points are, what are they struggling with,

I think everything comes back to not how you present yourself, it's how actually eager you are to learn and how much do you want it?

Honestly, I would use AI agents to be able to build me not just an app, but something that's actually gonna be able to build a community.
