Mia's Busy Day

beginnerworking217 words

Mia works at a café. Today is very busy, but she helps many people and feels happy.

Mia works at a small café on Pine Street. She starts work at 7 AM every day. Her jobs are simple: make coffee, set tables, and give pastries to customers. Today is different. Today, the café is busy from the first minute.
At 7:30 AM, a man runs in. "I need two coffees, quick!" he says. Mia pours the coffee fast. Then a woman with a baby comes. "A milk and a croissant, please," she says. Mia warms the milk and wraps the croissant. More people follow. A girl wants a hot chocolate. An old man asks for tea. Mia's hands move nonstop. She does not sit. She does not even stop to drink water.
At 10 AM, the café is still full. A little boy drops his muffin. He starts to cry. Mia kneels down. "Here, take this one," she says, giving him a fresh muffin. The boy smiles. Mia's heart feels light. Even when busy, she can help.
By 12 PM, the crowd leaves. Mia wipes her forehead. Her boss walks over. "You did great today," he says. "The busy day was hard, but I liked it," Mia says. She looks at the clean tables and the empty cups. She is tired, but happy. Today was a busy day, but it was a good day.
