Wednesday, September 18th

The concert is on Friday. I'm going to sing in front of three hundred people. I think I'm going to be sick.

We practise every day after school. Cian plays and I sing. He doesn't talk much, but he smiles more now. Today he said, 'You're going to be great.' Then he looked at his shoes.

Tonight I called Mum. 'Are you going to wear the yellow dress?' she asked. 'No,' I said. 'I'm going to wear black. Black is safe.'

Then I looked out of my window. The sky was dark and heavy. It's going to rain on Friday. I know it.

There is one more problem. Cian's father is going to be there. Cian told me today. His face went white. Why?
