Hi everyone!
2
Welcome back to the 5-Minute English Podcast.
3
I'm Anna and today I want to talk about something simple.
4
My daily routine.
5
I think it's a great topic because honestly, all of us have routines and describing them is an easy way to practice English.
6
So, on weekdays, I usually wake up around 7 a.m.
7
To be honest, I'm not a morning person at all, so the first thing I do is wash my face and brush my teeth just to wake myself up.
8
Then I make my bed and get ready for the day.
9
For breakfast, I normally keep it light, maybe bread with eggs or sometimes with jam.
10
And here's the truth, I really can't start my day without coffee.
11
On my way to the station, I often grab a takeaway cup.
12
It's like my little morning tradition.
13
After that, I take the train to university.
14
The station is only about a five-minute walk from my house, and the ride itself takes around 20 minutes.
15
On the train, I usually listen to music, but sometimes, if I have an exam coming up, I review my notes.
16
I have classes four days a week, and those mornings are usually pretty full.
17
Sometimes I'm in lectures, sometimes working on group projects.
18
By around 12.30 is lunchtime.
19
Most days, I eat at the cafeteria with my friends.
20
We catch up, laugh, and just take a break.
21
After lunch, if I have time, I like to stop by the library or go for a short walk before heading to afternoon classes.
22
Now, on the other three days, I don't have classes, so I work at a part-time job.
23
It's not always easy to balance work and study, but the money helps me cover my living expenses and gives me some independence,
24
which I really appreciate.
25
Dinner is usually around 6 p.m and I eat with my family.
26
After we finish, I help clean up, and then I finally get some time to relax.
27
Some evenings I watch TV, other times I chat with friends, and sometimes I just read a book.
28
But of course, not every evening is relaxing.
29
During exam season, I often stay up late studying or working on group projects with classmates.
30
It's definitely stressful, but I also feel like those moments teach me discipline and teamwork.
31
Finally, before I go to bed, I always prepare my bag and lay out my clothes for the next day.
32
I usually try to go to bed around 10, 30 or 11 because if I don't sleep enough, the next morning is really tough.
33
So, that's a typical week in my life.
34
It's a mix of studying, working, and relaxing.
35
And even though it's busy, this routine helps me stay organized and balanced.
36
What about you?
37
What's your daily routine like?
38
Try to describe it in English.
39
Even with simple sentences, it's really good practice.
40
Thanks so much for listening to the 5 Minute English Podcast.
41
See you next time!

「[A2] My Daily Routine - Talk about your day | English Listening & Speaking Practice」
