1
Hi everyone.
2
Welcome back to the 5-Minute English Podcast.
3
I'm Jessica.
4
Let me ask you, when you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
5
A doctor, a singer, maybe even an astronaut.
6
Today we're going to talk about dream jobs.
7
We all work or study, but have you ever stopped and asked yourself, what job would really make me happy?
8
That's what call a dream job.
9
For me, my dream job is actually very close to what I'm doing now.
10
I imagine myself teaching English, but not only in a classroom.
11
I want to teach people all over the world.
12
Maybe online, maybe through podcasts, maybe even while traveling.
13
In my dream job, I don't just use books and grammar.
14
I use stories, games, videos, and conversations to make English fun and easy.
15
I want students to feel excited every time they learn.
16
Why is this my dream job?
17
Well, first, I love helping people.
18
When I see a student speak English more confidently, it makes me so happy.
19
It feels like I'm giving them a key to open new doors, like jobs, travel, and friendships.
20
Second, I really enjoy English.
21
Reading, listening, learning, speaking.
22
It doesn't feel like work to me.
23
Teaching English is something I can do with passion every single day.
24
And third, I love freedom.
25
In my dream job, I can work anywhere.
26
At home, in a cafe, or even near the beach.
27
I imagine drinking coffee, looking at the sea, and teaching a class online.
28
That sounds perfect.
29
Of course, no job is always easy.
30
Sometimes teaching is stressful.
31
Students might feel shy, or the internet connection might fail.
32
But when it's your dream job, those challenges don't stop you.
33
You keep going because it's what you love.
34
Now, what about you?
35
What's your dream job?
36
Maybe you want to be a doctor and help people stay healthy.
37
Or maybe an engineer, building new technology.
38
Some of you might dream of being a singer, a chef, or even a YouTuber.
39
Your dream job doesn't have to be your real job right now.
40
It's okay to dream big.
41
Dreams give us energy, they keep us motivated, and they make the future exciting.
42
So take a moment and imagine it.
43
What job are you doing?
44
Where are you working?
45
And most importantly, how do you feel when you wake up in the morning?
46
If you feel happy and motivated, maybe that's your dream job.
47
Thanks so much for listening to the 5-Minute English Podcast.
48
I hope today's episode made you think about your own dream job.
49
Keep practicing English, keep following your dreams, and I'll talk to you again soon.
50
Bye for now.
