Hey buddy, it's Mike here.

Today we're talking about FC26, and I know it's three months after the games came out, and honestly I wasn't going to bother buying it,

but then I bought it on a Christmas sale here for $35 .99 Canadian, originally costing $90,

and I figured I'd give it a shot again i'm a

not a dedicated fifa player i just like to play you know manager mode

so for me certain things are more important than what you

know your professional fifa player like who plays ultimate team i

don't mess with ultimate team i just think it's a cash grab

so i managed to pick up the new fc26 i've been

playing fifa 23 for most of my time i've been really enjoying fifa 23 uh just the fast action

and i know it's not the best fifa but i would say it's like the best

recent fifa to play a manager career mode kind of thing

so that's what i've been up to

so for me the biggest thing is the manager career mode the menus working well you know the gameplay feeling

you know fast and punchy

and you know going to fc26 i do notice the ai has improved

and stuff like that they've they've added some more options in terms of like they added a competitive

and authentic mode but i just have some thoughts here

because you know i'm happy i know i didn't spend full

price on fc26 coming from fifa 23 as a non you

know professional player who plays this all time online um i

found first off the menus like the text in the menus like like you can even watch

when playing like even

when looking at the scoreboard the text is very small it's barely readable even on my big screen tv

and just i don't like i don't know about it's a preference of mine

but i find the menus to look i don't know it doesn't have

that nice feel it's very clunky to move around

and not saying fifa 23 had the fastest snappiest venues

but the fifa 23 menus in at least the manager career mode were much more faster a lot more functional

and visually more appealing like

if you look at the contrast between the two you know fc26 has this black

and white feel

and it has this drop down menu on the left whereas

in fifa 23 everything's colorful vibrant everything's there for you

and the menu aesthetic will actually change dynamically depending on

which you know a competition you're in so

if you're in like the champions league your menu will turn blue for example

and i really like that

and they did added some other light features in terms of customization

so you can actually customize the way your manager looks even more

but i think all the faces look very funny

and i you know sometimes more options is not for the best

because it is really tough to make a normal looking face

in this one now in comparison we're going to look at

some fifa 23 gameplay um it's very everything's very easily readable

and not to mention the soundtrack like fifa 23 had some

of the best songs over the many years in the in fifa history

so i guess you know it was a celebration of the fifa games maybe that's why the soundtrack was

so much better in FIFA 23 in terms of like the menu

and FC 26 I was not as impressed with the menu soundtrack

and again this is stuff that's not important to your professional

FIFA player like I said I don't even play on legendary difficulty like most of you I'm playing professional

and I'm not even that good I play this very casually

so I need something that works for me in that sense

and i need uh you know a great manager career mode

now they did add some additions to fc26 in terms of the manager career mode

so you can actually have like your youth academy tournaments

which is pretty cool so you could actually play with your youth players i actually really like that addition

but i'm just not feeling the new menu system it just

it's i know it doesn't seem as vibrant it's hard to

read the text as well um they're using a funny font

that just it just doesn't look well on my screen

and i don't know maybe um this is a very unpopular opinion

and maybe i'm an outlier here

but i think overall in terms of like a menu presentation

you know the music fifa 23 has had me a lot

more satisfied you know going to fc26 you know it's it might take some time to grow on me

but even in terms of the gameplay I found it a lot slower even on the competitive

so you have two gameplay modes the competitive

and authentic even on competitive it felt a lot slower than FIFA 23

and sure maybe it's more realistic in FIFA 20 FC 26

but honestly I'm just not seeing the point of me you know even upgrading to FC 26

so this video is more so for you not your dedicated you know fifa players but For those who are like me,

who like to enjoy manager career mode on a casual basis, you want those snappier menus.

I don't think it's worth upgrading from an earlier FIFA game into this new FC game.

I just don't like the aesthetic of the menu.

And, you know, it does feel a lot slower.

And even just looking at it visually, it could just be me, but I find FIFA 23 to be more pleasing to the eye.

I don't know.

You do also have some other missing features, right?

FC 26 is missing a lot of those licensed international teams

and in trade you get a lot of these women's teams

which is great for those who follow that

but I don't personally follow you know women's soccer so

that doesn't really mean a lot to me

and they also you know for those who play HUD anyways

a lot of the best rated players are you know those female players

so you know for those who really love women's soccer this

I feel like people are really going to enjoy fc26

but i um yeah this is not worth the upgrade i'm

so happy i didn't pay full price i was tempted to just to do a review earlier this year

but yeah if you if you're like me

and you have like one of those earlier fifa games like

fifa 23 heck even fifa 22 just stick to those games

don't worry about these new fc games they're uh really not

worth it unless again you want to play hut uh you want to play as the women's teams

but yeah just just not feeling it overall

and that's my my take on upgrading to fc26 from fifa

23 i do tend to have a lot of unique takes on my channel
