What's going on YouTube?
2
TonyTK here and it's been a while since the last time I put out one of these videos and today is actually my second try.
3
It's supposed to come out yesterday.
4
So yesterday I recorded this at my friend's studio and they got a very nice office space.
5
It looked professional.
6
I liked it.
7
I was very happy.
8
But then when we wrapped up, I checked on my computer to see if everything was all right and all of the audio files are actually gone.
9
Like maybe I didn't save it correctly or something went wrong with the recording software.
10
So I wasted my time, got a little bit upset, but it's okay because I wanted to go back and give it some more time to work on my stuff anyway.
11
So I went back, did my homework, and this morning I decided to do it again.
12
For those of you who don't know, I'm 23 years old.
13
I'm a recording artist coming out of Saigon, Vietnam.
14
I do hip-hop music.
15
I've been around since 2009.
16
I put out a couple of mixtapes, many many projects on YouTube from music videos to vlogs to fucking comedy sketches all kind of good stuff.
17
I'm blessed with the talent that gave me a solid fan base.
18
Millions of views on YouTube all thanks to you guys.
19
I appreciate all the love and support you guys have given me throughout the years and this is my way of giving it back.
20
So today I'm here to share with you guys some tips on how to communicate with people using the universal language and just to put it out there My English is in no way, shape or form perfect.
21
I make a lot of mistakes all the time.
22
As you can see in the video, I'm checking on the laptop to see what's the next thing to say.
23
I have short short-term memory, maybe from all the weed that I smoke over the year, but hey, that's besides the point.
24
But if you want to be able to hold a conversation with, let's say,
25
a foreigner to maybe get better at your professions or even get better jobs working with foreigners or people who speak English or even get a new boyfriend or girlfriend who speak English from America or Canada or whatever.
26
But yeah, if your goal is to listen better, is to speak better, is to understand English better, then this series of videos may be for you.
27
And I'm saying series is because it's gonna be a lot of videos.
28
It's not gonna be one.
29
This is just the introduction, episode one, the general idea of how this whole thing works.
30
I'm gonna show you the picture right now, and I'm gonna go in on the details on the next episodes, all right?
31
Just to give you guys a little bit of background story so you can understand my situation and where I'm coming from.
32
I never finished high school.
33
I was in the 10th grade, you know, like got in a lot of trouble for fighting and all that stuff.
34
Got kicked out of school a couple of times and then I found hip-hop music and fell in love with it instantly.
35
After a while, I decided to drop out and focus on start chasing my dreams.
36
My mom wasn't very happy at the time but everything is all good now because I'm doing alright for myself.
37
Right off the bat, you can tell that I didn't get to this level of skill by reading books or doing good at school.
38
I mean, I did good at school, but I didn't get it from that, you know what I'm saying?
39
I'm the type of motherfucker that will show up to school with a pack of cigarettes and a lighter in my pocket.
40
I know some of you bad boys out there can relate to that.
41
So I dropped out, started running the streets, selling weed, doing all kinds of stupid shit, and that's that.
42
So throughout my journey in life, I came across a lot of rich kids, their family got money to send them to this language school that promised good results, or even send them out to different countries so they can study.
43
The term is study abroad.
44
Most of them, their English was good.
45
I'm not gonna front because what happened is when you go to international school or study abroad, they don't speak Vietnamese there.
46
So you gotta figure out a way to learn and speak English.
47
So that's the only way you can understand what's going on around you.
48
What pushed me to the point where I want to be better at this was because those people, they always act like they better than you because their family got money.
49
You know what I'm saying?
50
Yeah, so I was like, fuck that.
51
I'm gonna go learn this myself.
52
And when I come back, I'm gonna be better than all you motherfuckers watch me.
53
And you know what?
54
I did.
55
The reason I'm telling you this story today is for all of you struggling kids out there, man, your family don't have no money to send you to all these places for you to study.
56
Don't be ashamed of yourself and don't feel bad about yourself because that's not your fault.
57
And don't worry through this series of video, I'm gonna show you how you can do it yourself and even do it better than those people.
58
Now the first thing I want to talk to you about is your attitude and your mindset going into this.
59
That's the most important thing, your attitude.
60
Just like anything else, if you want to be successful, you got to put in work and you got to stay focused.
61
It takes a lot of learning and practice for me to even get to this level.
62
And this is just basic shit.
63
Like, it might sound good, but it's just basic stuff still.
64
If you work hard, if you stay focused, it's gonna pay off.
65
Even though it's not easy.
66
Trust me, I know.
67
But still, you wanna be as relaxed as possible.
68
You don't wanna stress yourself.
69
The thing is, if you put too much pressure on yourself, you stress the fuck out, your brain is not gonna be able to pick up anything.
70
And that's just how it is.
71
Learning English is a process.
72
It takes time.
73
It's not gonna happen overnight.
74
So work hard, stay focused, but at the same time, give your body and your brain time to relax, go out, have fun, do the things that you enjoy the most.
75
As I remember back in high school or even middle school, it was a very stressful environment.
76
You gotta worry about doing good in class to keep the teachers happy, to keep your family happy and all that.
77
So you need to find the balance to actually stay on track.
78
with the series of videos I'm gonna try and help you out with that.
79
So don't worry too much.
80
If it's too stressful sometimes, just smoke a little weed, cheer the hell out, but don't get lazy on me, aight.
81
That's it for this episode.
82
On the next episode, I'm gonna get into the details of the actual tips.
83
So make sure you subscribe to my channel.
84
If you have questions, get in the comment box, tell me what you guys think, and I'm gonna try answer all of your questions.
85
Until next time, it's 1992 all day.
86
Peace out.
87
Bye.

  • 助動詞の使用: 彼は「I want to...」や「I can...」
