1
Numenau ultramicroscopic silicovalcine coniosis, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,
2
hippopotamonstrous sesquipadaliophobia, pseudo-pseudo-hyperparathyroidism, phloxnasna helipolification,
3
anti-disestablishment terrorism, honorary vocabulary to genitalibus,
4
lecture encephalographically, antitransubstantialist, disproportionableness, and comprehensibilities.
5
So, what you just heard were some of the 11 longest words in the English dictionary.
6
Such complex words, right?
7
Well, just as these words are complex,
8
so has my own life been.
9
And although seemingly difficult things,
10
such as memorizing long and complex words and numbers, are simple for me.
11
Seemingly simple things such as standing and bearing weight are impossible for me.
12
That's because I wasn't like any other newborn baby.
13
I was born with osteogenesis imperfecta,
14
a rare incurable genetic disorder that causes a person's bones to be extremely fragile.
15
So I guess you can call me Mr. Glass now.
16
During my birth, I had over 35 fractures and was taken immediately to the intensive care unit.
17
And these were the sounds that used to resonate throughout the hospital as I was desperately clinging on to my life.
18
The doctors gave me the very bleak prognosis that I'd only live for a day or two.
19
But due to God's grace and the support of my parents and their never-say-die attitude, I survived.
20
In fact, thank you.
21
Thank you.
22
In fact, I've had 130 fractures so far in just the first 13 years of my life,
23
and only God knows how many more will happen.
24
I've also had multiple screws and rods placed in my body,
25
so I guess you can call me Iron Man as well.
26
Ironic, am I right?
27
But anyways, no more sob stories,
28
because that's not what I want to talk to you about today.
29
So now, what do you see on the slide in the back?
30
Can you tell me?
31
Impossible, right.
32
Okay, good.
33
Now what do you all see?
34
Thank you.
35
Awesome.
36
And that's exactly what I want to share with you all today.
37
How I turn the word impossible into I'm possible in my life by following four simple steps.
38
Step one, find your passion.
39
Now, despite the fact that I did live a very rough life for the first few years,
40
God opened a new door to it that would become my passion and change my life forever,
41
and that was music.
42
Music has had a tremendous impact on me, both physically and emotionally.
43
I started singing ever since I could speak,
44
and in fact, I even used to correct my parents when they were singing off key by saying,
45
Mom, Dad, you're not singing right.
46
At the tender age of six,
47
my parents enrolled me into Indian classical vocal training.
48
Much later on, I also started taking American vocal lessons,
49
therefore helping to increase my versatility as a singer.
50
But I found my My true calling as an artist at the age of 10,
51
when I wrote my first song,
52
this love will never fade.
53
Since then, I've written 11 more songs.
54
Two, never hold yourself back.
55
So one day I came across an amazing rap song many of you may have heard of,
56
Not Afraid, by none other than Eminem, also known as Lamsheedy.
57
This song struck my chords and was so inspirational to me that I could not hold myself back.
58
And I decided that I had to go out there and make a cover of it myself.
59
Ha!
60
Who knew that the boy with slim chances of survival would go on to sing slim,
61
shady songs one day?
62
But wait, there's more.
63
I didn't just rap the song like any other person.
64
First of all, I'm not a fan of profanity,
65
So I decided to make my rapper name, Pure Rhythm.
66
In other words, I'm clean,
67
no curses, but I'm still all about the rhythm.
68
Thank you.
69
I also added my own touch of Indian classical music to the song,
70
which is part of a new music genre that I once a pioneer,
71
called Raga Rap, or the fusion of seemingly polar opposites,
72
Indian classical music and hip-hop.
73
I know right now, to some of you,
74
the idea may sound completely crazy,
75
but trust me, in the end, the result is beautiful.
76
To my pleasant surprise, the cover blew up all over the internet,
77
and it became a worldwide phenomenon.
78
I received praises from some of the most famous celebrities out there,
79
And to date, the cover has gotten over 55 million views,
80
and counting, on all social media sites so far.
81
Thank you.
82
And because I decided that I would not hold myself back,
83
and instead decide out to go out and display my musical talents to the world,
84
I was able to achieve these,
85
among many other achievements, that I've been very blessed to have achieved to this day.
86
Step 3.
87
Help others.
88
Now, I've been singing pro bono for various non-profit organizations,
89
and by now, I've helped to raise at least half a million dollars for them.
90
Thank you.
91
And yes, that is American dollars, by the way.
92
Because I know we're in India right now.
93
But I believe that the biggest satisfaction for all of us is
94
when we get to help change someone else's life for the better.
95
Doesn't it give us such an immense amount of gratitude?
96
For example, I was once contacted by a family who had a child with brittle bones just like me.
97
He's about to go into surgery and was very nervous,
98
but his parents reached out to me,
99
and we had a FaceTime call which went very well.
100
And on the day of the surgery,
101
his parents sent us this pic with a smiling Xavier going into the surgery without any fear.
102
Thank you.
103
And last but not least, dream big.
104
None of this would have ever happened if I had not jumped big.
105
But my ultimate goal as a musician is still to one day perform in front of a billion,
106
yes, you heard me right,
107
a billion people one day.
108
I want to leave my footprints,
109
or rather track prints, into the sand of legacies so deep not even a tsunami can erase it.
110
and I firmly believe that every one of us here should strive for such big goals.
111
I mean, don't you all want to be remembered when you leave this earth?
112
I also have many plans for my life in the future,
113
especially in my musical career.
114
I want to join an online bachelor's degree course in music at the age of 13,
115
come up with many original albums,
116
win a Grammy Award one day,
117
and most importantly, sparsh everyone's hearts all over the world.
118
Thank you.
119
Aw, thank you.
120
But remember, it's still not over yet.
121
I promise you.
122
Yeah, so where was I? dispersing everyone's hearts, right?
123
I want to spread the message that no matter what happens in your life,
124
you should never, ever give up on your passion.
125
Everyone in this world goes through struggles of some sort,
126
and I know, because I,
127
for one, have to deal with constant fractures and lots of pain.
128
But I believe that if I can turn impossible into impossible in my life, You can too.
129
If you can believe it, you can achieve it.
130
And I firmly believe that if you push forward and have faith,
131
you will make it big anywhere in life.
132
Thank you so much.
133
But wait up.
134
Before you guys do a standing ovation, it's not over yet.
135
Because I'd like to leave you all with a very special gift from me to you.
136
This is my rendition of Raga Rap in Eminem's Not Afraid.
137
Pure rhythm style.
138
So thank you again.
139
I'm not
140
a friend to take a stand Everybody,
141
come take my hand Walk this road together through the storm Whatever weather,
142
colds or warm Just let you know that you're not alone Holla
143
if you feel like you've been down the same road Yeah!
144
It's been a ride
145
I guess I have to go to that place to get to this one
146
Now some of you must still be in that place If you're trying to get out,
147
just follow me I'll get you there,
148
promise
149
You can try and read my letters off of this paper before I land
150
But you won't take this thing out these words before I say them Cause ain't no end,
151
I'll let you sign me because a man When I say him,
152
I'll do something, I'll do it I don't give a glance, what you think?
153
I'm doing this for me,
154
forget the work, me the beans is gas up,
155
never think you stop for me I'ma be what I said I'd to be,
156
without a doubt, undoubtedly And all those who look down at me,
157
I'm tearing down your balconies No one's saying the bus,
158
don't try to ask me why I'm in it Cause from infinite down to the last,
159
we'll have time when we're still fretting Whether he's on salary,
160
paid hourly, until he finds out and repeats his file without him Whatever comes first,
161
for better or worse, he's married to the game Like a present for Christmas,
162
but his gifts is a curse Forget the earth,
163
you got dirt, you put yourself in the dirt And curse the whole universe I'm not afraid,
164
you take a chance Everybody,
165
take my hand We'll walk this road together,
166
through the shore Whatever weather,
167
colds are warm Just let me know that you're not alone For all you hip-hop fans,
168
if you know the lyrics, sing along!
169
Ready?
170
Cause I just can't keep living this way So we're starting today I'm breaking out of this cage You're standing up,
171
I'm gonna phase my twist I'm standing up,
172
I'ma hold my ground If that ain't enough,
173
I'm
174
so fed up Time to put my life back together right
175
now It was my decision to get clean I did it for me Admittedly,
176
I probably did it subliminally for you
177
So I could come back a brand new me You helped me see me through And don't even realize what you did,
178
believe me, you I've been through the wringer for things
179
And little to the peace fingers I think you got a
180
tear in my eye I feel like the kingdom My world haters can make like beers
181
But no singers and drop dead No more beef clangers,
182
no more drama From the half-worn of problems to focus So the unkindling minds find the village To the brothers,
183
so it's hot I swear to always treat this fool Like my brother
184
and raise it You couldn't let the singers sing my money
185
Cause that's where I feel I'm strong enough to go to the gym On the fitness club And gold is on,
186
just trying to hold up,
187
cause I'm raising the bar I'm shooting room,
188
the two-fits are gazing at the stars I feel amazing,
189
I'm not afraid Walk this group together through the storm Whatever weather,
190
close the wall Just letting you know that you're not alone Holler if you feel like you're friends Get rhythm!
191
Thank you so much!
192
Thank you!

  • “I was born with osteogenesis imperfecta.”(私は骨形成不全症という病気で生まれました。)
  • “I survived thanks to my parents’ support.”(私は両親の支えのおかげで生き延びました。)
  • “Music has had a tremendous impact on me.”(音楽は私に大きな影響を与えました。)
  • “I turned impossible into I’m possible.”(私は不可能を私は可能に変えました。)
