Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel IELTS with Charles.
2
Today ladies and gentlemen it's a hot hot topic,
3
the topic of work and study.
4
This is the most common topic in IELTS speaking part one.
5
So today I want to try and give you some inspiration for your answers.
6
But first let's look at some more advanced and sexy ways to introduce your speaking in part one.
7
Don't just reply to every answer or every question,
8
yes or no, yes or no. We might say,
9
yes, nothing gives me more pleasure than something.
10
Or I love to immerse myself in something to surround yourself.
11
You might say, I am an avid fan of something or I'm not ashamed to admit something.
12
So in today's answers, I want you to try and listen to me use these different introductions to our speaking.
13
Without further ado, let's start about the topic of work.
14
Question one.
15
What do you do?
16
Well, I'm not ashamed to admit I'm currently employed as an English teacher.
17
I must confess I have a passion for IELTS.
18
I love my job not only because it gives me financial freedom,
19
but also a sense of accomplishment from helping my students achieve their dreams.
20
Why did you choose that job?
21
Well, I must be honest,
22
I am an avid fan of the English language
23
and therefore teaching IELTS and English is undoubtedly the most suitable job for me.
24
Moreover, seeing the smile on students' faces when they achieve their dream result is something you simply can't put a price on.
25
Is there anything you dislike about your job?
26
Oh yes, I hate the stressful workload.
27
Throughout the day, I have thousands of different tasks to do all at once,
28
and it can feel a little bit overwhelming at times.
29
Moreover, there is a lot of pressure due to the fact that I need to help my students achieve their dream results.
30
But when they do, I absolutely love my job.
31
Now let's move on to talk about education and that same question what do you do as a student?
32
Well I am currently studying at IELTS with Charles
33
which is a prestigious English centre located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
34
My major is in IELTS and I truly feel passionate about studying this course.
35
What was your favourite subject at school?
36
Well, I'm not ashamed to admit I have always been passionate about English,
37
not only because it opens so many doors,
38
but also because I can understand about new cultures.
39
For example, I love nothing more than to read about British culture,
40
especially the Queen and the King.
41
Therefore, having a grasp of the English language has taught me so much new information.
42
Who was your favourite teacher at school?
43
Well, never in a million years did I think I would admit this,
44
but I loved teacher Charles.
45
Not only because he was charismatic,
46
confident and passionate, but also because he was very compassionate.
47
For example, I can vividly remember as a young child feeling emotional and crying in his class,
48
but thankfully he gave me some tissue and put a smile on my face.
49
I will always love Mr. Charles.
50
So guys, I hope you enjoyed that topic.
51
Do you see how I used the different introductions in order to start my answer?
52
Remember, fluency is more important than this,
53
but if you can, it's a great way to make your answers more interesting and creative.
54
Team, top tip, please think and practice your answers to the questions about what you do,
