쉐도잉 연습: Are Tattoos Harmful? | What Happens When You Get a Tattoo? | The Health Risks of Inking | Dr. Binocs - 영상으로 영어 말하기 배우기

1
Oh Whoa there, that's a pretty big decision why
2
Because before anyone makes something permanent There's an important question.
3
We need to answer What actually happens when you get a tattoo?
4
Zooming Your skin is like a security checkpoint that protects your body from dust,
5
bacteria and tiny invaders from the outside world.
6
But, when you decide to get a tattoo, you intentionally allow thousands of tiny needles to puncture that protective barrier.
7
What follows is a fascinating microscopic battle that eventually turns into permanent art.
8
First, let's zoom in on your outermost layer called the epidermis,
9
which is mostly made of dead cells that are constantly replaced.
10
Because this layer keeps renewing itself, any ink placed there would disappear quickly.
11
That's why tattoo needles push deeper into the dermis, the thicker layer of skin underneath that contains blood vessels,
12
nerves, hair follicles and immune cells.
13
When the tattoo machine begins buzzing, the needles puncture the skin thousands of times per minute.
14
From the perspective of your cells, this is like a series of tiny explosions.
15
Some skin cells are damaged or destroyed.
16
Small blood vessels break and microscopic wounds form.
17
your body immediately recognizes that something is wrong and triggers an immune response.
18
One of the first responders is a type of immune cell called macrophage, a name that literally means pig eater.
19
When they encounter these new inky intruders,
20
macrophages stretch out their flexible arms and swallow the ink particles in a process called Phagocytosis.
21
Normally, once they capture bacteria or debris, they dissolve it using powerful chemicals inside the cell.
22
But tattoo pigments contain stable compounds or metal particles that are extremely difficult to break down.
23
So, no matter how hard the macrophages try, the ink simply refuses to dissolve.
24
Eventually, the immune system realizes it cannot destroy the ink particles
25
instead of continuing the fire it changes its strategy macrophages swallow many of the smaller ink particles but
26
because they cannot break them down the pigment remains trapped inside
27
their cells some larger ink clumps are too big to engulf
28
so macrophages gather around them and hold them in place keeping the ink locked within the dermis.
29
At the same time skin cells called fibroblasts begin repairing the tiny wounds by rebuilding the dermis
30
which helps trap some of the ink particles in the tissue.
31
Together these cells form a kind of living prison for the
32
ink creating something beautiful the colorful long-lasting pattern of your tattoo
33
but tattoos are not completely permanent in the way we might think over time macrophages eventually die when
34
that happens they release the ink they were holding nearby macrophages
35
quickly swallow the particles again keeping most of the pigment in place.
36
Occasionally, a few particles drift slightly before being recaptured,
37
which is why tattoos slowly fade or blur over many years.
38
So the next time you see a tattoo, remember that beneath the colorful design lies an ongoing microscopic story.
39
Millions of immune cells are quietly walking around the clock, holding tiny grains of pigment in place,
40
turning a moment of needle and ink into art that can last for decades.
41
Trivia Time!
42
Did you know that the word tattoo comes from the Samoan word Tatao,
43
which mimics the tapping sound of traditional tattooing tools?
44
Also, modern tattoo machines can pierce the skin anywhere from 50 to 3000 times per minute.
45
Sketch-ing time!
46
Today's sketch of the day goes to...
47
Sarfara's Akhama Zaki.
48
Hope you learned something permanent today.
49
Until next time, it's me, Dr. Binox, your friend forever, Zooming out!
50
Kitty got the best tattoo!
51
Oh, may I see?
52
Well, never mind.
"What happens when you get a tattoo?"라는 문장에서 듣는 것처럼, 다양한 맥락에서 사용 가능합니다.
- begin to: 이 구조는 어떤 행동을 시작할 때 사용됩니다. 예를 들어, "the tattoo machine begins buzzing"와 같이 특정 행동의 시작을 명확하게 할 수 있습니다.
- is like: 비유를 통해 설명할 때 자주 사용되며, 어떤 것과 비교할 때 유용합니다. "this is like a series of tiny explosions"와 같은 예시를 통해 구체적인 이미지를 그릴 수 있습니다.
