1
Guys, it is almost halfway through 2025.
2
And if you think about it,
3
we're in some weird times.
4
And to make matters even better,
5
I can add to that chaos because we've created something
6
that is really exciting for a lot of people to kind of change their lives.
7
And it's mobile businesses.
8
Let's dive into it.
9
So I used to tell people that I converted school buses into tiny homes,
10
and that's what I do.
11
But now it's also shifted a little bit.
12
Now we actually convert shuttle buses and vans into mobile businesses for a lot of different types of people.
13
That's what I want to share with you today,
14
because we've developed something that we've actually done before.
15
So this would be probably our sixth rendition of it.
16
And it's great only being 22 feet long because you can just park that thing on the side of the street.
17
I mean, think about it.
18
There's shuttle buses.
19
You see them all day long everywhere.
20
And the cool part about shuttle buses that we really like is they're not very big,
21
but the interior height of it is like 6'3".
22
So that means like Brett Blizzard himself can sign up on this thing.
23
So like every bus we get,
24
they start off as a Plain Jane school bus,
25
or in this case, a shuttle bus.
26
It was white, it was dented,
27
it was beaten, and we've done a lot to it.
28
We painted the exterior, we painted the bumper,
29
we did new wheels, got new tires,
30
added some lights on the interior and exterior.
31
And I'm honestly really excited to share with you guys
32
because we've opened up a lot of opportunity for a lot of people.
33
We've brought their businesses to your driveways, to your business.
34
We've gotten people out of the brick and mortar mindset.
35
We've gotten people out of all this overhead.
36
You can put all your business in this thing and you can use it wherever you possibly want to go.
37
And with the exterior of this thing,
38
we wanted to keep it pretty stealth,
39
not too flashy, not too over the top.
40
So we put a custom rack on the back to hold the mini split compressor.
41
We've got a 30 amp shore power, a little water fill.
42
We did some new LED lights,
43
and then we were able to tuck away the dump valve for the gray tank for the sink that's inside.
44
So yeah, let's make our way inside.
45
So the aesthetics for this bus are a vibe.
46
I mean, they came out real well.
47
My wife did a really good job for the interior of this thing.
48
It's a massage bus, so it's gotta have a nice mood to it.
49
So with the interior of this thing,
50
it turned out really well.
51
We did a cedar tongue and groove ceiling.
52
We kind of spaced it up with this plank in the middle.
53
And then my wife did like this marble,
54
kind of looks like cement,
55
and it turned out real well.
56
I'm actually surprised.
57
People on our Instagram are commenting,
58
asking if we put some it inside the bus.
59
No, we did not.
60
It is paint and it's worked out great.
61
Then she also found these green velvet interior curtains.
62
They're all of course on a track so you could bring the outside light in or you can,
63
you know what, have privacy because that's what you want in a massage.
64
You can block out the outside life being here in your own space.
65
One of my favorite parts of my job is like that unexpected experience.
66
When people walk into the spaces that we create,
67
they have no idea what they're about to walk into because of the outside.
68
You think about what a school bus,
69
shuttle bus conversion could be or should be.
70
And then we, I think,
71
a good job of repainting that picture if you look mobile business
72
or mobile chiropractor or mobile massage
73
or anything mobile these days they are nothing up to this scale they're basically a gutted shuttle bus
74
or gutted bus with a table inside and
75
while that's totally fine the vision that we have for our clients
76
and what they're trying to sell to their clients is entirely
77
different we've created a whole new atmosphere inside this 22 foot long school bus
78
that she can take to that person's home or that person's work
79
and totally have a welcoming spot for them to really want to hang out at
80
and hang out in because i know myself like
81
if someone said hey i'm going to give you a massage in the back of a bus
82
that doesn't sound good but the reality of it is
83
if you can wow them with
84
that experience of hey this is my presentation of what this bus actually is
85
and this is before i even do my craft on you i think
86
that sells a lot for you and the client so
87
when we
88
when we build these for the clients we build them for
89
the clients clients we build them for you guys to help generate money
90
and generate revenue off the bus that we created
91
because you've got this bus
92
and this conversion to help make you money help make your life easier
93
so we really try to execute on the style
94
and i think we did a really good job with that
95
so here let's get into it one of the things we did kind of do on this bus
96
that we've never made before is instead of building out the wheel well
97
and covering the box we actually stripped it down to the bare metal we insulated the underneath
98
so it still has insulation but then we also clear-coated the top part
99
so it has this like industrial metal look to it
100
and i think it pairs really good with this nice dark lvp flooring
101
that we did
102
so i started using chat gpt as like renderings to be
103
like hey what could this space be like could you turn
104
this into a mobile tattoo parlor could you turn this into
105
a mobile salon could you turn it into a mobile classroom basically anything
106
that there is in a brick and mortar you can turn into a mobile
107
and when you do it mobile you have the opportunity to make
108
that client's life easier oh yeah this client This client has an electric massage table.
109
I didn't know they made electric massage tables,
110
but they do, and she has one.
111
So we needed to put an outlet in the floor for her.
112
So that's what we did.
113
Has anybody else put a recessed floor inside of a school
114
bus for a mobile massage studio going to Ohio for a
115
lady to drive around to get massages in the back of their bus?
116
Probably not, but we're in the beginning of it.
117
So let us know if we can help.
118
And one thing we did in this bus that is really massage studio worthy,
119
we got a dimmer on these little lights so it can really help set the mood for getting a massage.
120
Like bring down the lights,
121
bring the incense, get the sounds going.
122
You won't even ever think that you're in a bus.
123
Yeah, these dimmers, man.
124
That's the vibe for sure.
125
We've got an 8-inch drawer.
126
We've got an 8-inch drawer.
127
And we've got a huge 10-inch drawer.
128
You can put a lot of stuff in a 10-inch drawer.
129
I didn't realize how big that was.
130
But yeah, that's 24 inches.
131
That's 30 inches.
132
36 inches.
133
So this is 60 inches altogether.
134
This is 18 inches.
135
And then, of course, we've got three big shelves.
136
One, two, three, technically four, I guess.
137
And that's all open.
138
We tuck the mini-split stuff nice and smooth behind there so you don't ever think about it.
139
I'm so proud of this thing.
140
So doing buses and being off-grid doesn't have to be complicated.
141
It sounds complicated, but it doesn't have to be complicated.
142
So with this system, it's pretty straightforward.
143
We've got an inverter.
144
We've got a link distributor,
145
which is like a bus bar.
146
We've got two big batteries.
147
We have an on-off switch.
148
We've got a Bluetooth dongle thing
149
that tells you all the things you need to know about your system as far as battery capacity,
150
how much water you're using,
151
how much is left in your batteries,
152
and all that good stuff.
153
So that's all the electrical.
154
That runs the mini-split, that runs the lights,
155
that runs the outlet, that runs everything you possibly need to use off-grid in this bus.
156
So for the further water system,
157
we've got two and a half gallons of electric hot water,
158
so you can adjust this to the temperature that you want.
159
We've got 15 gallons of fresh water.
160
We've got a water pump,
161
an accumulator, got on-off valves,
162
and yeah, very straightforward, very simple.
163
When I build these buses,
164
I build them with the intention of my wife to do this.
165
It's funny, like my wife is involved in me building these buses,
166
but she doesn't know all the technical stuff.
167
If she were to ever call me,
168
can I explain this process very simply for her.
169
So I think about that whenever I'm doing these.
170
So then when the client calls me,
171
I'm like, yes, pull this thing.
172
Yes.
173
Turn this thing.
174
Yes.
175
Push this button.
176
And we can find out the problems very simply,
177
very fast, because if something happens,
178
you want to find out the solution as soon as possible.
179
So yeah, let's keep it simple.
180
In lieu of the coffee bar prep section,
181
we've got switch for the wall scotch,
182
Atlas right here, floating shelf.
183
We've got a 9,000 BTU mini split to keep this thing nice and cool throughout the summer,
184
nice and warm throughout the winter.
185
Like I said earlier, we've got two and a half inches of closed cell spray foam on this entire bus.
186
She's in Ohio, we went heavy on this closed cell spray foam because we wanna make sure that the clients are comfortable.
187
Is it a little more expensive to the client?
188
Yes, but if it makes her clients' clients more comfortable,
189
it's all worth it.
190
So let's build for efficiency,
191
that's built for functionality, and that's what we do.
192
So this is something we've never done before,
193
which is like these recessed shelves inside the walls.
194
Normally we can do them in the walls that we build as like divider walls,
195
but to actually build it inside with the closed cell spray foam,
196
they add in the interior.
197
It was kind of tricky,
198
but we're able to figure it out.
199
So she's got nice, three nice big shelves right here.
200
We've got an outlet right here,
201
so she can add her speaker,
202
add her diffuser, add her sense,
203
all those things that you might need electricity to.
204
You could do that on this shelf,
205
then you've got extra space for knickknacks designs and all that stuff.
206
Additionally, like any good office, you have a consult.
207
You're going to talk to the client about what they're needing,
208
what they need adjusting, what they need help with,
209
or whether it's a therapist's office,
210
it's a chiropractor's office, a massage studio,
211
it's whatever you want it to be.
212
You need a spot for your clients to sit.
213
So we did that here.
214
We built it in a nice functional chair for the client.
215
And then of course, if you're going to do it,
216
might as well make it storage.
217
So all of this is interior storage underneath.
218
So yeah, I'm just really excited to see what opportunities come up for people to take their business mobile
219
and being the guy that can help people do that.
220
Because I like creating freedom for people.
221
I like creating opportunity for people.
222
I like creating life to be easier for people
223
and taking your business to the client or parking it at the marina because that's where you want your office to be.
224
That's what we can do.
225
Like it doesn't just have to be mobile massage students.
226
It doesn't have to be mobile services,
227
but we've created mobile offices for people
228
that they can then pop up their office from day one where they need to be.
229
So yeah, I'm excited for it.
230
I'm excited to know what you guys think about it.
231
Like it if you like it,
232
dislike it if you don't.
233
If you could subscribe, I'd really, really appreciate it.
234
And yeah, we'll see what the next one is.
