So, you want to know how to find people using limited information or know if it's even possible.
2
Well it is, but the question is,
3
why do you really want to know?
4
OSINT tools are very powerful and if you leverage them in the right way,
5
they can get you any piece of information you desire.
6
In this video, we'll look at three tools that will help you pull the information with just a few words or pictures.
7
So let's start looking at some creepy tools.
8
It's me about time.
9
First up, in this video, we have ID Crawl.
10
This is a great tool that is a free people search engine that basically aggregates information from social networks,
11
deep web sources, phone directories,
12
email databases and criminal records.
13
So loads of them.
14
And it stands out from web search engines like Google because of its specialized focus on people related information.
15
So by focusing solely on people search,
16
it can deliver more relevant results for queries that you enter.
17
You can see there's different types of searches that we can do here.
18
We can have a username search,
19
reverse phone or just simply do a people search which is what we'll be doing in this video.
20
So just to start we'll be using my name which is iMentor
21
and we'll be giving that a search just to see what exact information populates.
22
And straight away you can see that some images have been included.
23
We can scroll through those or we can look at what's been found on Instagram.
24
So you can see straight away that's my account
25
and I've been found and you can go directly to that or we can look for any twitter accounts,
26
I'm not on twitter so it's correctly not found me we can do background checks
27
and view those reports so we can have a look through public records email addresses that potentially might be for this user,
28
any facebook accounts again and then also tiktok accounts which I am on tiktok and it's found my account straight away.
29
We can also look at YouTube channels.
30
Of course, it's obviously found my YouTube channel.
31
Any other potential usernames for this user,
32
LinkedIn, any relatives or address history.
33
And different websites which may mention iMentor.
34
So loads of really useful information that you can go through if you're searching for specific people.
35
You can see it found information on me,
36
which is iMentor, straight away.
37
and just as an example we'll search one of these images
38
which id crawl include
39
so you can look at as an example just to see what information it pulls back
40
and we can see searching for this user they found one person in Georgia
41
and it's found some Instagram information alongside some Twitter information
42
and you can also run background checks just the same as we did with iMentor
43
when we searched that so really useful
44
if you're trying to find a specific person or use a specific username to find that person on different social media platforms.
45
Really good for recon if you're doing something like penetration testing.
46
Next up we then have PimEyes.
47
Now PimEyes is an online face search engine that goes through the internet to find pictures containing given faces.
48
It basically uses facial recognition search technologies to perform a reverse image search.
49
The benefit of this tool is that it allows you to set an alert
50
and monitor by receiving an email notification
51
when PimEyes basically finds a new result containing a face
52
that you're looking for or you can even use it to erase unwanted photos from external websites
53
that you've seen the image on.
54
So if you're trying to hide something for some unknown reason then this is the place to do it.
55
And just as an example we'll now do an image search just to see exactly what comes up
56
and what I've done is saved the photo here by Will Smith the actor
57
and I'll be pasting that in just to see exactly what it pulls back
58
and we can add more photos or we can choose a specific time
59
which we want it to look back in whether that's 24 hours a week
60
or 30 days and we can do a safe search
61
or a deep search and once you hit
62
that search button it'll only take a few seconds to go through
63
and then we'll be given the results and here you can now see
64
that we've given 247 results in three seconds so very very fast
65
and we can scroll through all the external websites
66
which host this image
67
and there is loads on there for you to go through it's not just one
68
or two results and you can easily filter those to then order it by default
69
or by date and group them
70
and this is where you can go about setting an alert
71
or exporting that data and
72
if we just for as an example click into one of
73
these you can see we can choose between opening the website
74
opening the specific image performing a search with the image again
75
or copying the result id
76
or then going to exclude it from public results for PIM eyes
77
so really really useful depending on your use case so I highly recommend you checking this one out as well.
78
Next up we then have a reverse image search by TintEye.
79
This tool claims to have built some of the world's fastest
80
and most accurate image recognition APIs and it essentially constantly crawls the web
81
and adds images to its index
82
and on their website they say it indexes over 65.1 billion images
83
which is just insane to think about
84
and it's very easy to use you just simply upload a picture just like the previous tool
85
that we looked at and then see your results.
86
So that's exactly what we'll do.
87
We've pasted an image again of Will Smith the actor just to see exactly what results come up
88
and after a few seconds you can see it populates straight away
89
and we've had 707 results over those 65.1 billion images
90
and we can then go in to filter our results
91
or we can just go ahead and start looking at what's already been provided.
92
You can go down
93
and just like before click into these to view exactly what information is given behind this image
94
or similar images and we can see it's been very accurate and it's found other images of Will Smith.
95
It's not a different individual,
96
it's exactly that person but in different images.
97
And when you scroll back up you can see that you can sort by or filter the website or collections.
98
all you need to do is hover over those boxes and click them and you have some really useful filtering options there.
99
I'll just show you now by going over to it once
100
we click into it you get the best match most changed biggest image newest
101
or oldest exactly what you'd expect or by looking at what websites have come up
102
and we can just specifically look at those so really really useful if you need to look at something more specific.
103
Hopefully that's been useful for you guys and
104
if it has do join my discord community where i post all sorts of different useful osint tools
105
and we discuss cyber security in general the link will be in the comment section down below
106
if you enjoyed it please do leave a like on the video it massively helps it out
107

About This Lesson

In this lesson, learners will practice their English speaking skills by engaging with a transcript that discusses various OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) tools for finding people online. The aim is to develop improved listening comprehension, pronunciation, and fluency through effective shadow speaking techniques. By mimicking the speaker’s tone and pace, learners will enhance their ability to communicate in contextual situations involving technology and social media.

Key Vocabulary & Phrases

  • OSINT tools: Tools used for gathering information from publicly available resources.
  • People search: The act of searching for specific individuals online using various data sources.
  • Facial recognition: Technology that identifies or verifies a person from a digital image or video frame.
  • Reverse image search: Searching the internet for information related to a specific image.
  • Background checks: Investigating someone's history, often for verification purposes.
  • Social networks: Platforms that allow users to connect and share content with others.
  • Email notification: alerts sent to inform users about new information or updates.
  • Aggregates information: Compiling various types of data into a single source for easier access.

Practice Tips

To maximize your learning experience with the transcript, consider using a shadowing app to practice shadow speaking. This technique involves listening closely to the speaker and repeating their words as accurately as possible, imitating their tone, rhythm, and pace. Given that the speaker presents information at a moderate pace, you should feel comfortable shadowing them effectively. Begin by listening to small sections before attempting to repeat them all at once.

Focus on the natural intonation and stress patterns as you shadow speak; this will help you sound more fluent during your English speaking practice. If you find certain phrases or vocabulary challenging, pause the video, practice them separately, and then return to the flow. Utilizing a shadowing site can also be beneficial by providing additional contexts and examples of the vocabulary in use, enhancing your comprehension and retention. Practice consistently to build your confidence and ability to engage in discussions about technology and online searches.

What is the Shadowing Technique?

Shadowing is a science-backed language learning technique originally developed for professional interpreter training and popularized by polyglot Dr. Alexander Arguelles. The method is simple but powerful: you listen to native English audio and immediately repeat it out loud — like a shadow following the speaker with just a 1–2 second delay. Unlike passive listening or grammar drills, shadowing forces your brain and mouth muscles to simultaneously process and reproduce real speech patterns. Research shows it significantly improves pronunciation accuracy, intonation, rhythm, connected speech, listening comprehension, and speaking fluency — making it one of the most effective methods for IELTS Speaking preparation and real-world English communication.
