1
good morning this is what i eat in a day for good skin
2
and good gut health
3
if you've been following me then you'll know i've been on
4
a big health journey to tackle my years of chronic bloating acne
5
and fatigue i also went through a major gut cleanse the past couple months getting rid of my candida overgrowth
6
so i'm a lot more focused on anti-inflammatory whole and unprocessed foods
7
but as a busy girl i do not want to spend
8
a lot of time thinking about what i'm gonna eat
9
so in this food diary i will be sharing some of my favorite healthy meals
10
that are simple
11
and realistic before i put any real food in my body
12
i always start with a glass of celery juice celery juice has
13
so many benefits for the body it improves internal hydration helps digestion reduces inflammation and supports the liver.
14
I drink it on an empty stomach so that it can have maximum absorption in the bloodstream.
15
My family's been drinking celery juice for years now and it's such a good way to start the day.
16
After that, I like to get some movement in.
17
Moving your body in the morning is so crucial for overall health
18
and I like it because it wakes me up and gets my mind right for the day.
19
Sometimes I wake up with a lot of thoughts and anxieties, but moving my body first thing helps to just clear my head
20
and let out any stress that I'm holding onto from the day before.
21
Working out in the morning is also such a great way to kickstart your productivity.
22
Your brain loves completing tasks and checking off boxes, so when you finish a workout,
23
your brain gets an immediate sense of accomplishment and it sets a positive tone for the rest of the day.
24
You're more likely to want to tackle other tasks after doing one so early on.
25
I used to dread working out in the morning because I would just feel so unmotivated.
26
But what I realized is that motivation does not come before doing action.
27
It's the action itself that gives you motivation.
28
It only takes one task to start momentum.
29
And once you have, it leads to a more productive day overall.
30
For breakfast, I like to have things already prepped because my mornings are pretty busy.
31
I meal prep this overnight chia seed pudding on Sundays and it has become my favorite breakfast.
32
Chia seeds are rich in fiber, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids.
33
So this small little jar is very satiating and keeps me full until lunch.
34
I top it with wild blueberries, which are rich in antioxidants, so they're great for your body and your skin.
35
To get even more protein in the morning, I also like to make this vanilla protein yogurt bowl.
36
Sometimes I'll skip this, but today I was just feeling extra hungry.
37
I use non-dairy coconut yogurt, vanilla protein powder, and this magic spoon cereal.
38
This one has no added sugar and is high in fiber and protein.
39
And of course, I can't forget my matcha latte.
40
Matcha is also packed with antioxidants and L-theanine, which helps with alertness and brain function.
41
I just love starting my day with a warm, cozy beverage.
42
Just sipping it as I'm getting ready relieves stress and calms my nervous system.
43
It also just tastes so good.
44
I make mine with almond milk, but you can use soy, oat, coconut, or regular milk.
45
It is kind of a cloudy day today, but who cares because I've got my breakfast.
46
All right, let's eat.
47
I thought we could have a little chit chat while I'm getting ready for the day.
48
Although it might seem like I have my life together
49
and I have like the perfect diet or like I've always been this good with my health, that is definitely not the case.
50
I talked about this in my gut health journey that I posted like last week, a couple weeks ago, of sort of like my background on my health
51
and why I've kind of been on my health journey.
52
To give you a little bit of context, I'm Korean and I would say most Korean families are pretty healthy.
53
Well, at least to Western standards, the Korean diet is very minimal.
54
It's pretty clean.
55
There's a big emphasis on vegetables and protein, not a lot of sugar or dairy,
56
although that's definitely changed now with the spread and the globalization of Western food.
57
I haven't been to Korea in a long time, but apparently they really love pasta over there and like all the American food, which is kind of funny to me.
58
So yeah, I grew up relatively healthy.
59
My mom, I would classify her as an almond mom.
60
She like is very into her health.
61
We even went on these like health retreats.
62
I remember growing up and then my brother and I were like, what is this?
63
Why are we only eating salad?
64
And why are they like taking our blood tests and everything?
65
So yeah, I was like not really into my health back in the day just because, you know, when you're a kid, you just want to have fun.
66
And when my mom didn't let us buy like soda or chips or all the junk food, I was like, what the heck?
67
Like, that's so unfair.
68
All my friends get to eat like that.
69
And then for lunch, I would bring like kimbap or whatever like we made last night for dinner.
70
Whereas my friends, you know, would eat like Lunchables and Gushers and all like the fun kid stuff.
71
So for me, like this year, I went to go see like a special doctor and we did all the labs, all the tests.
72
We even tested my bowel movements, which is, it was pretty graphic to say the least.
73
And I was the one doing my own tests.
74
So I was like, this is nasty.
75
I'm legitimately going to throw up right now.
76
We came to the conclusion or the results showed that I am gluten sensitive which is so unfortunate.
77
And then the other thing my doctor told me was that I have a candida overgrowth, which is essentially like a yeast that is overgrowing in your gut.
78
But actually looking back to a couple months ago, I'm actually so glad that I did have this,
79
you know, gut issue because it really explained a lot of the weird symptoms that I had.
80
But yeah, it just surprised me how even though on the outside things can look a certain way,
81
you really don't know until you look at the inside and you get the testing done and you really see like what, you know, nutrients you're lacking.
82
Also, this is very random, but I just got a gift from Say Beauty.
83
They are one of my favorite clean beauty brands.
84
Not sponsored by them, but I got this in the mail, So I want to try this.
85
But yeah, super excited to try this blush.
86
Oh my gosh.
87
Wait, this is like my new favorite blush.
88
This is in the shade Peach Glow.
89
And I think it's like the perfect natural flush of color.
90
Love it, love it, love it.
91
I'm going to finish up my matcha, get ready for the day, and then I'll see you at lunch.
92
for lunch i also like to meal prep it on sundays just
93
so that i can grab and go
94
and not have to think about it i normally make this chicken
95
and avocado salad it's super easy i just throw the chicken in the oven
96
and then while it's cooking i prep my veggies i do romaine cherry tomatoes red onion
97
and usually cucumber it's such an easy
98
and delicious meal i try to stay away from carbs during lunch since they tend to make me tired and lethargic.
99
My grandma made this, what is this?
100
This pickle salad?
101
Oy kimchi.
102
These are cucumbers from our garden that, when did you pick this?
103
Today?
104
She picked it today.
105
I can tell because it tastes really, really fresh.
106
See?
107
Eating in the seasons.
108
And my other favorite comfort drink lately has been bone broth.
109
If you we're not on the bone broth train, what are you doing?
110
It has so many benefits for your body.
111
It is super rich in nutrients, amino acids, collagen, and minerals.
112
It improves your gut, joint function, and skin, hair, and nail health.
113
I like to drink this right after lunch since I normally get snacky around 3 to 4 p.m.
114
And since it's packed with protein, this holds me over until dinner.
115
This is my favorite brand for bone broth.
116
The powder just makes it so convenient to make, but they do sell bone broth liquid at the store and you can make your own, but I honestly don't have time for that.
117
Okay, I just cooked myself because I filmed my entire clip without sound, but I just wanted to show you guys my supplements that I already took, but I'll show them to you anyway.
118
I lay them all out in my pill organizer so I don't have to think about them.
119
So I take a probiotic.
120
This is really good for maintaining good gut health.
121
It adds beneficial bacteria to your stomach, which helps with bloating, digestion, everything.
122
And then I take something called 5-HTP, which supports brain serotonin levels because my serotonin is very low.
123
And then of course, a multivitamin.
124
I opted for a gummy version because I don't know, you got to make it fun somehow, right?
125
This is literally something I look forward to every day.
126
These basically taste like candy.
127
Like they're so good.
128
I have to restrain myself from not eating the whole bottle.
129
So yeah, that's just my supplement stack.
130
For tonight's menu, I'm making fish tacos.
131
I cook once a week for my family and usually we all switch turns.
132
Tonight's my night, so I'm making the toppings for the tacos first.
133
Although I do like to eat out and try new restaurants, you just can't replace home-cooked meals.
134
I recently celebrated my birthday and for the entire weekend, I ate out pretty much every meal.
135
And while the food was absolutely delicious and fun, I definitely feel the consequences a lot more after.
136
After going through my health journey, I have become so much more sensitive to changes in my diet and certain foods.
137
I've tried to avoid gluten and dairy during my candida cleanse.
138
I am so sensitive to how it feels in my body, which is so crazy to me because there was a point when I was eating bagels every single day.
139
But being more mindful of my diet now and prioritizing clean anti-inflammatory foods, I feel so much lighter, happier, and focused.
140
I'm definitely not as bloated as I used to be after meals and my skin has been incredible lately.
141
It's so true that what you put in your body is what you're going to get out of it.
142
And to end the night, I have to have a little sweet treat.
143
But because I'm avoiding processed sugar, I've had to get really creative with my desserts.
144
I recently got the Ninja Creamy and it has been the biggest game changer.
145
It basically can turn any frozen liquid into ice cream.
146
I like to make non-dairy protein ice cream with this and I'll just use chocolate collagen powder for the base.
147
But to be honest, it is very loud.
148
Like my entire family knows when I'm making ice cream, but it is a thousand percent worth it.
149
I also like to top mine with the same magic spoon cereal as before to add a bit of crunch.
150
This is the perfect dessert to end the night.
151
This is what I look forward to every single night.
152
If you don't have a Ninja Creamy, what are you doing?
153
You need to get one.
154
Literally, it can make any ice cream flavor you want, and it's healthy.
155
I mean, I guess you can make them unhealthy, but I make mine super healthy, low calorie.
156
This entire pint is only like 200 to 300 calories, and it's high protein because I put collagen powder in it.
157
I feel like that Hailey Bieber meme where she's eating sushi with her face mask
158
and then everyone's trying to copy it and then it just does not look like very graceful.
159
And then the magic spoon cereal that I put in here, I'd like the perfect crunch.
160
If you're obsessed with ice cream like me, you need to get a Ninja Creamy.
161
Any kitchen appliance that Ninja comes out with, I'm buying.
162
But anyway, I hope you guys like this what I eat in a day.
163
Obviously, I'm not perfect by any means, but I feel like I have a pretty good diet that fits my body.
164
So if you guys want any of the recipes that I made in this video, then comment down below and make sure you give this video a like so I know to make more of them.
165
But anyway, I'm going to go enjoy my ice cream and I'll see you in the next one.
166
Bye.

A forma correta é “tchí-a seeds”.
