And this milestone marks a significant step forward in the robust developments of Vietnam's stock market,

recognizing the comprehensive reform efforts carried out by Vietnam's security sectors with the aim of building a transparent,

modern and efficient market that adheres to the international standards.

FoodSeed announced reclassifications of Vietnam from frontier to secondary emerging market status with an effective date of Monday,

21 September 2026, subject to an interim interview in March 2026.

Vietnam State Securities Commission's SSC will continue to work closely with

Fusi Russell to ensure a smooth transition in accordance with the official roadmap.

How do you see the significance of this upgrade for the economy and financial markets?

And what are your expectations regarding how international investors will respond?

This upgrade is transformational.

From an investment perspective, the FTSE Russia upgrade would automatically trigger passive inflow large index fund that replicate global benchmark

would have to include Vietnamese stock.

Analysts estimate

that could bring around five to seven billion US dollars of new foreign capital into the market in the near term.

But beyond that, what excites me more is the long term signal is saying

Vietnam will officially be seen as a mainstream emerging market not a frontier one

that means global investor pension fund insurance firms sovereign wealth funds

can allocate capital to Vietnam as part of their core portfolios for domestic companies they also mean access to cheaper

and more diversified funding better corporate governance and stronger investor confidence And for the economy as a whole,

it's not just about inflows of money,

it's about credibility, about Vietnam being recognized as a market that meets international standards.

And so for Vietnam's stock market to continue to develop in a healthy way and meet international standards,

what changes or improvements are needed?

I think the upgrade should be seen as a beginning,

not the end point.

There are several areas Vietnam can continue to strengthen.

Firstly, liberalizing foreign ownership limits in a transparent and predictable way.

That consistency builds trust.

Secondly, investor protection and market supervision,
