Well, Dina, we know seven businesses received the notice the notices were all posted on their front doors.

All of them are located along Pablo Quiselle Boulevard.

The area is also known as the Entertainment District.

We know the notices were placed on the doors of the Jungle, Malverde Cantina and Barrio.

The notices say the building must be vacated and unoccupied because of code violations.

Brownsville officials told us in a statement they were not in compliance with city ordinances and other building zoning and occupancy requirements.

This is the same entertainment district reported back in March, where the city was implementing new regulations targeting late-night businesses.

The ordinance applies to establishments that operate between midnight and 2 a.m.

It includes bars, nightclubs, music venues, and some restaurants that get most of their revenue from alcohol sales after midnight.

They include adding cameras to the entrance and exit and proper lighting.

Businesses also need devices to verify all IDs.

The city says the rules were created for public safety.

The business that received the notices have to stay closed until a new certificate of occupancy is issued.
