I love a beauty tip video.
2
These are actually some of my favorite videos to watch.
3
So I just wanted to compile a list of my current favorite beauty tips
4
that I'm implementing that just make me feel a little put together, a little bit more chic.
5
We're about to go from winter to spring and then to summer.
6
So we're entering that era where we're kind of coming out of hibernation.
7
And I think these are going to be like really great things to implement into your daily life
8
that may just elevate you a little bit more.
9
But this is going to be a very casual video, sit down, let's chit chat, get comfortable.
10
And let me share with you my favorite current beauty tips.
11
Hi guys, welcome back to my channel.
12
I am loving seeing my channel grow and being able to talk to you guys.
13
Thank you for all of my returning subscribers.
14
Any new subscribers here or anyone new to my channel, welcome.
15
I love seeing all of your faces.
16
I love seeing your comments and
17
every all the engagement is just really encouraging to continue to share
18
but I usually make my videos going straight into whatever the topic is
19
and since this is a little bit more of a casual
20
video I just want to take time to just say hi
21
and thanks for being here
22
and thanks for really supporting my content to make showing up
23
in these videos even easier for me to be able to want to share with you guys
24
and open up and show parts of myself without judgment and it just it feels really good it feels really aligned.
25
So if you like my content, or if something about my aesthetic you like, and it resonates with you, my beauty tips that I incorporate are always changing.
26
And I feel like sometimes there's just the smallest little tweaks
27
that I make that I feel like a world of difference in the way
28
that I present or the way that I put on my makeup or just everything through my evolution.
29
One thing that I find incredibly easy to implement and incredibly chic is cleaned up nails.
30
Now this does not mean that you have to have your nails painted.
31
This does not mean that you have to have anything actually done to your nails, but cleaned up nails mean manicured.
32
So they're cut, they're cleaned.
33
The cuticles are nice.
34
They're well oiled or well hydrated.
35
To even go further right now, I have a gel French tip, just like super neutral nails that go with everything, keeping them nice and short and square and manicured.
36
It's the little things that people notice that make a world of difference when they're evaluating you.
37
And, you know, just looking at you, it's like the little things subconsciously that they're picking up and well manicured nails is one of them.
38
And so I love like a neutral pink, maybe like a tan or brown, depending on your skin color, whatever works for you.
39
And this allows it so that it can grow out.
40
Like I will go once a month maybe to do my nails, but they grow out and you don't really notice.
41
So it stops the burden of having to be at the nail salon every two weeks.
42
And I also find that it just goes with everything and people notice your hands.
43
People do notice your nails.
44
And let me reiterate, this does not mean
45
that you have to have a manicure or you have to go get gel or whatever.
46
This actually just means keeping your nails cleaned and polished.
47
Polished not literally but polished as in the way that they look.
48
Make sure they're clean, make sure they're short because it goes with everything.
49
It is just one of those micro things that people do pay attention to.
50
If you have chipped nails they notice.
51
If you have a bright color and it's grown out they notice and that can become a burden.
52
We women have so many things that we are already responsible for and that we already have to pay attention to.
53
So love that beauty tip.
54
I've definitely been implementing that.
55
I'll also say that I do the same thing to my toes, a very neutral color, whether it's a really beautiful pink or a French tip, something that if it grows out,
56
it is not super noticeable unless I am doing something that intentionally I need to change the color.
57
And this is not about being boring.
58
This is not about conforming in any way.
59
This is about having something that is maintainable for you and your lifestyle.
60
Second beauty tip is that I am the outfit.
61
Me physically am the outfit.
62
As I have gone through my style evolution and figuring out what looks good on me, the focus is actually me and myself.
63
And so I've made sure that no matter what I am wearing, I as a person always look presentable.
64
So this means being well moisturized.
65
This means my hair is in some kind of form that looks very presentable.
66
This means that my skin is cleaned up, whether it is making sure that I have a little bit of foundation
67
or a little bit of sunscreen or something
68
that makes me look like I put a little bit of effort in because no matter what you wear, you could wear a trash bag.
69
But if you are the outfit, if you're taking well care of your nails are manicured or whatever, it actually takes away from the fact
70
that you might not even be in an outfit
71
that is fully dressed or whatever i think i've really learned
72
that simplicity can actually look very complex depending on how you put it together
73
and my style is always evolving and changing but
74
if i make sure that i am the base
75
that i am the outfit
76
that i myself look look good no matter what I put on
77
and I look cleaned up
78
and polished it makes any outfit look amazing like you can put on the best outfit
79
but if your skin isn't well moisturized
80
if you don't look hydrated you know you're not fully put
81
together at the base at the core the outfit is it's
82
just whatever that's one of the things I've been really paying attention to is
83
that no matter what I'm wearing making sure
84
that I at the base look fully presentable fully hydrated I look healthy basically is what I'm trying to say.
85
This even goes into actually changing your style.
86
I've changed my style.
87
I've really elevated my style, which I'm just starting to really lean into and love.
88
But I think one of the biggest things that I've changed is that I started dressing for my lifestyle.
89
I think a lot of things can look really good online.
90
And I see girls who maybe go out a lot
91
or they're always at like red carpets and they're always wearing like these really beautiful sets or outfits.
92
But in my life, it might not always make sense to buy things like that.
93
And So I had to start thinking if I'm purchasing this outfit because it looks good on her, how is this something that I could actually wear in my life?
94
Like if I'm not always going out to the club, if I'm not always in the nightlife, but these are where these girls are wearing these outfits, how does that fit into my lifestyle?
95
So I found myself buying a lot of outfits that looked really beautiful and I had no where to wear them to.
96
Once I started adjusting my outfits and my own style to my lifestyle and what actually works for me, I've really found that people notice.
97
I dress up every day, even in my home like I'll put on a set or whatever, but I've really leaned into some very nice basics.
98
I've leaned into some like more modest outfits because I'm like going to the grocery store, working from home, running around, visiting family, seeing friends.
99
I go to the occasional event.
100
So I have some nice dresses.
101
Like that's more what fits my lifestyle versus like some of these really out there sets.
102
Some of these like really unique pieces that once I wear them once, it's not really something that I can continuously repeat
103
or the quality doesn't really match what is necessary for me in my daily life.
104
I wear my clothes a lot.
105
Remembering that you are the base of the outfit and be careful when following the trends, make sure that it actually fits for your lifestyle.
106
Like if you're going to the grocery store, babe, you might not need the Fashion Nova set that you see the girl at the club wearing.
107
Just something like that.
108
Really just thinking like, how can this fit into my life?
109
The third thing that I've really been loving is natural remedies where you can.
110
I have very sensitive skin.
111
So I will find that I'll have little rashes or like little patches or randomly for weeks,
112
I had this weird, it looked like a cut on my neck and I went to the doctors and they were like, oh, it's a cut.
113
That's not healing.
114
You should put antibiotic cream on it, whatever.
115
I went to multiple doctors and they kept telling me to put like Neosporin on this, what looked like a cut to them.
116
And it ended up not being a cut at all.
117
It ended up being something
118
that I could have used a natural remedy for a little bit of tea tree oil and this Egyptian magic cream.
119
I got this Egyptian magic cream at Whole Foods and this tea tree oil, I think I got it at Whole Foods as well, But keeping little natural remedies in your home
120
and being able to use them whenever you feel like you
121
have maybe patched dry skin instead of using the harsh antibiotic creams or the harsh steroids, just depending on whatever the little thing that you might be dealing with.
122
Sometimes it is as simple as a very clean, natural remedy.
123
And it ended up being like some kind of yeast.
124
I don't really know how it got on my neck, but it looked like an open cut.
125
And I talked to my friend's mom and she was basically like, that looks like some kind of like yeast on your neck.
126
And I've never experienced that or heard of that.
127
And if doctors couldn't even tell me that, and she was like, it's as simple as using a little tea trail and a little balm.
128
So just keeping something like this on hand, because you never know when a little natural remedy is going to be necessary.
129
And this cream, this Egyptian magic cream is very universal.
130
You can put it on chapped skin, you can put it on chapped lips.
131
You can use it as a moisturizer, like a universal balm.
132
Chef's kiss.
133
Whenever you need a little hydration, whenever you need just a little remedy, it's great to have those things on hand.
134
This might sound a little repetitive, but never underestimate the power of hydrated, glowy skin, mainly because subconsciously we view hydrated,
135
glowy skin as a marker of health.
136
And I think health is obviously trending right now, should have been trending our entire lives.
137
But when people look healthy, we subconsciously associate them with being more beautiful.
138
So it's not about the amount of makeup you wear.
139
It is not about what kind of clothes that you have.
140
If you don't look healthy at your core, healthy is a sign of radiance, glowing beauty.
141
And there's little ways that you can actually trick the brain into making people think that you're healthier than maybe you feel.
142
Hydrated, glowy skin is definitely one of them.
143
Next is a little brown eyeliner.
144
If you're my shade, brown eyeliner versus black is chef's kiss because it draws a line between being too harsh.
145
Sometimes black is a little bit too harsh for me depending on where I'm going, but I love a little brown eyeliner on the inside of the water duct
146
and sometimes at the top or using browns to experiment
147
if I want to go with a heavier look replacing blacks with browns.
148
It can really just open up the face, not look too heavy, also be a little bit more understated but still give that dramatic effect.
149
So if you haven't tried brown eyeliner, I highly suggest it.
150
I just feel like it's a little thing that you can swap.
151
So, so minimal, but to me makes a really big difference.
152
This next one is for my oily skin girls because I really struggle with acne.
153
That's something that I've struggled with my entire life.
154
I have very oily skin and I think there's this assumption that because you have oily skin, high oil production, you have to use really harsh products.
155
And unfortunately for me, I can't use the trendy products.
156
I can't use a majority of the stuff on the market.
157
I have to test it because I have very sensitive skin, but using lighter exfoliating products and swapping them out maybe every other day, just depending on how sensitive your skin is,
158
but you don't want to overdraw your skin as an oily girl.
159
So I found this really great face wash.
160
It's from Raelle and it's still a salicylic face wash, but it's a lot gentler than some of the really salicylic heavily ones
161
that I was using in the past that actually leave my skin very irritated, very dry.
162
And while it's great in some instances to, you know, help to deter that oil production, you just don't want to hyper dry out your skin.
163
So if you're an oily girl, just making sure that you're hydrating properly, using a really great water-based moisturizer and not over exfoliating,
164
not over using exfoliating adjacent products.
165
So if you're using that salicylic face wash and then you go and exfoliate and then you're basically just stripping your skin.
166
So you have to just play this nice little balance of if you're going to use the exfoliating face wash.
167
Maybe you don't exfoliate physically, maybe use a little bit more of a gentle face wash and then exfoliate on some days.
168
So I usually have two face washes that I swap in and out just to make sure that I'm not overdoing it.
169
I also just started incorporating tretinoin into my skin again, and that's really great.
170
However, it does dry out your skin and it does make you a little peely because it is a journey.
171
So I think the one I have is 0.25.
172
I do like a little tretinoin in the skincare routine.
173
Talk to your dermatologist, talk to your doctor, or whatever you're doing, but I do love a little tretinoin, just a little bit.
174
It goes a long way.
175
It goes a long way.
176
And to start it just a little bit here and there and just gradually build up to as needed, it just really gives that beautiful finished, polished, like Botox-y look without the Botox.
177
Speaking of Botox, hair Botox.
178
And it's so crazy because when people said get hair Botox, I genuinely thought it was needles.
179
I thought it was the actual Botox, which I think people actually do put that in their hair so they don't sweat.
180
But this is actually a product and it's technically a deep conditioner of sorts.
181
I don't actually think it changes like chemically anything.
182
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
183
I've only used it once so far, but hair Botox has really changed the way
184
that I feel about my hair and my ability to want to wear it more naturally.
185
My friend actually did it and I'll link the one that we use.
186
I'll put it here.
187
My friend actually did it for me a couple months ago and it is not a keratin.
188
It is not a relaxer.
189
My hair looked exactly the same, but it felt different and it felt more manageable because I have very dense, thick, coily hair.
190
And a lot of times when it's in its natural state, it is a fro.
191
I cannot even put a rubber band around my hair.
192
I have to use one of the large braid rubber bands or hair ties to actually put my hair up.
193
And my hair looked the same thickness.
194
It looked exactly the same, except I was able to actually manipulate it.
195
I was actually able to get it into a hair tie.
196
And so I really loved it because visually it didn't change, but the way that it felt and the blow dry time, it was cut in half.
197
So I think that if you are a girl who has 4C hair, very coily, very kinky, and you don't want to relax because you don't want to damage your hair, you don't want to use a keratin,
198
try and look into hair Botox because it still does manipulate the hair slightly, but I don't think it's as harsh of a chemical as some of the other treatments, and you might really like it.
199
This next one has genuinely changed the way that my face looks, and it is my lashes.
200
I do the lashes, the cluster lashes that you actually glue underneath, and I think these are such an upgrade from lash extensions.
201
Lash extensions are great, but one I found that it really broke my lashes.
202
Two, once they start coming off it's like you have to go sit for two hours again, one hour again, pay x amount of dollars to have them put back on.
203
There's no autonomy in getting your lashes done.
204
We already give our nails away to people.
205
We already give our lashes away and me and my hair away.
206
So something that you can do on your own
207
that actually is fully in your control and I think looks really beautiful and really natural.
208
People ask me all the time if I have lash extensions.
209
I don't.
210
I do them myself.
211
I don't know if you can see, but yeah, just get short ones.
212
Like I do a 16, 14, 12 little combo and I absolutely love it.
213
I think it's just like the slightest beauty hack until I want to go back and wear my natural lashes fully, which the girls are leaning more towards the natural lashes.
214
I think it's beautiful.
215
I think again, wearing your natural lashes is such a sign of like glowing health.
216
You don't need anything extra, but me, I can't let go of my lashes right now.
217
I am opting for shorter ones.
218
These are shorter than I used to wear.
219
But I think that the cluster lashes that you can put on yourself, chef's kiss, such a great beauty hack.
220
I wear them for like seven days, but you can even do them for three days.
221
You can do them for four days.
222
You can do it for one day.
223
And you don't even have to put a full set on.
224
You could literally put three on the outer corner of your lash, do shorter ones.
225
And then it's like this hybrid between your real lashes while having a little oomph.
226
So that is for sure one thing if you haven't already hopped on that train, it's worth it.
227
Last
228
but not least, one of the beauty tips I really love is mixing matte with natural finish products in my skincare and makeup routine.
229
Mainly because I'm an oily girl.
230
I get oily.
231
I step outside.
232
I'm oily.
233
I wear my natural skin.
234
I'm oily.
235
That's just me.
236
And I found that when I was using really matte products that I looked chalky.
237
I looked cakey.
238
When I was using matte primer, matte foundation, matte finishing spray, matte, you know, powdering really well.
239
I think a mix of a natural finish
240
and a little bit of matte actually helps the skin look a little bit more natural.
241
I think it looks a little bit more radiant, but not greasy and oily.
242
And you don't have that harsh chalky finish.
243
So what I like to do is that if I'm using a matte primer, I'll use a natural finish.
244
And I'm not talking about a radiant finish.
245
This is just a natural finish.
246
So it's just supposed to look like skin foundation.
247
And then I'll use a little bit of like the milk.
248
I think it's like prep and spray, whatever that spray is that basically just makes everything melt together.
249
I'll use a little bit of that.
250
Then I'll use a matte finishing spray, setting spray.
251
So it's like you're going in between a natural and a matte.
252
And I think it just looks more like skin.
253
You know, when you see someone or if I don't, I've heard this before, people will be like, your makeup's really beautiful.
254
Or they'll say you're really beautiful.
255
And to me, it's the difference between the makeup being obviously sitting on your face or the makeup really accentuating your face.
256
And I think something as small as your skin looking a little bit more skin like
257
and less matte is the difference between the compliment of your makeup looks really good and you look really beautiful.
258
The goal is for people to compliment you and not compliment the thing that they're thinking that makes you beautiful.
259
And that is a great beauty tip.
260
Hopefully you guys are able to implement some of these beauty tips.
261
I love them.
262
I live by them.
263
I'm always upgrading, figuring out what I want to do next, what works for me, what is a little bit easier to implement and a little bit easier to be consistent with,
264
because that is the whole thing.
265
You don't want to make your routine so difficult,
266
tiring, taxing that you want to avoid them and you don't actually want to even do the beauty trends.
267
Again, wearing like lash extensions, being in a chair for three hours, being in a chair for three hours for your nails, being in a chair for six hours for your hair, it gets tiring.
268
Like no one has time for this.
269
So being able to incorporate little beauty hacks and tips into your routine and things that you actually want to consistently do, that is the real beauty tip.
270
I hope you guys liked this video.
271
I hope you take away some key messaging from this video and it just makes you feel like you're upgrading and elevating.
272
And as always, let me know your thoughts, your feedback on future videos that you guys want to see below in the comments.
273
But I love hanging out with you guys.
274
And thank you for showing up every single week for my videos.
275
And I will see you in the next one.
- 短语动词的使用:例如,“cleaned up nails”,“implement into your daily life”。了解和运用短语动词能够让你在口语中更显地道和自然。
- 描述和比较:讲者常使用“like”来做比较,如“just like super neutral nails”。
