Heavenly Father, I come before you today to thank you for everything in my life.

Lord, I want to give thanks not just for the good things,

but for all things, because I'm learning that even the difficult moments have been part of your plan to shape me,

to grow me, to make me who I am today.

Heavenly Father, where do I even begin?

How do I put into words the depth of my gratitude?

My heart is so full right now that I feel like it might burst.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of life itself.

Thank you for the breath in my lungs, the beat of my heart, the ability to think and feel and love and dream.

Thank you for this very moment.

Thank you that I can pray to you, that I can talk to you like a friend, that you listen to every word I say.

Your word tells us in Psalm 34, 15, The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.

Thank you that your ears are always open to me, that you care about every detail of my life.

Even when we don't get along perfectly, even when we hurt each other sometimes, even when we're messy and complicated,

they are your gift to me.

Thank you for the people who love me, even when I'm not lovable.

Thank you for the ones who have stood by me when I was at my worst.

Thank you for the laughter we share, the memories we've made, the bond that holds us together.

Thank you for my friends, the ones who call just to check on me, the ones who make me laugh until my stomach hurts, the ones who cry with me when I'm sad,

Your word says in Proverbs 17, 17, a friend loves at all times.

Thank you for the people in my life who show me that kind of love.

Thank you, Lord, for my home.

It might not be the biggest house or the fanciest place, but it's mine.

It's where I can be myself, where I can rest, where I can find peace.

Thank you for a roof over my head, for walls that keep me safe, for a bed to sleep in at night.

So many people in this world don't have these basic things, and I don't take them for granted.

Thank you for food on my table.

Thank you that when I'm hungry, I can open my refrigerator and find something to eat.

Thank you for clean water to drink, for the simple pleasure of a hot meal, for the comfort of my favorite foods.

Your word reminds us in Matthew 6.26

that you feed the birds of the air

and how much more valuable are we to you Thank you for providing for my needs.

Thank you Lord for my health.

Thank you for a body that works, for eyes that can see the beauty around me,

for ears that can hear music and laughter and words of love.

Thank you for hands that can touch and hold and create, for feet that can take me where I need to go.

Even when I'm not feeling my best, even when things hurt, I'm grateful for this amazing body you've given me.

Thank you for my mind, for the ability to learn and grow and understand.

Thank you for memories of beautiful moments, for dreams of what's to come,

for the capacity to love deeply and feel joy.

Thank you that you've made me unique with my own thoughts and personality and gifts.

Lord, thank you for work to do.

Even when my job is stressful, even when it's not perfect, I'm grateful that I have purpose, that I can provide for myself and my family,

that I can contribute something to this world.

Thank you for the promise of better days ahead, for the assurance that this life isn't all there is,

for the comfort of knowing that you have good plans for my future.
