Alright, so right when I upload the video about the snapshot with the F3 change, Mojang comes out and releases the new beta for the next drop, which you're seeing right behind me is the new ice caves.

This is so far the best one that I've found.

It's kind of squishy in a lot of places, but this is sort of like a bigger one that I've located.

And what you're going to notice is that there's a lot of calcite.

These are the new stalactites or the icicles.

And it sort of reminds me of the way dripstone caves generate, except you have a different block palette.

We also have a new mob, new weapon.

Does it feel colder all of a sudden?

Minecraft Live revealed the first look at our new game drop, and it's frosty.

Explore ice caves filled with glittering icicles and ice crystals, plus meet a not -so -chill new hostile mob, the Frostbite.

Now, speaking of, I do need to mention that the cape code is currently absolutely busted, which is messed up completely.

So the ice ball is meant to do more damage upon higher velocity, which is pretty similar to arrows as well.

But the fact that you do not have to pull back

and charge means that they can actually replace eggs and snowballs for immediate knockback.

All right, so how do you get this item?

Well, first, you have to find yourself a frostbite, which is the new zombie -type mob.

They basically replace zombie spawning inside these colder biomes.

The heck?

There are two of you here.

This almost confirms that there is an icy cave underneath.

Yeah, so this is what's going on.

Ice caves will replace a lot of the cave gen underneath, so it's not really that difficult to find if you really want to find one of these ice caves.

Just find a colder climate, and you'll be able to locate one.

Now, these frostbites or frozen zombies will spawn with an ice cube sometimes.

So this one does not which means it will hit me with melee attacks.

So he will have no ranged attacks whatsoever He will hit me and then I'll have the freezing effect, but we'll get to that in a second However, if I kill this zombie,

it will still drop an ice ball So regardless of whether it's holding an ice ball in its hand, it will still drop ice balls So this one as well will still drop an ice ball.

This one is holding an ice ball So it looks like it's less than a 50 % chance by the way.

and if you get close enough it will switch to its melee attack after

which it will deal the freezing effect

which is really similar to what you get

if you're sitting inside a powder snow block very scary now

you want to see a baby frozen i mean frostbite check

this out there's your baby frozen with an adult frozen with

an ice ball in his hand try dealing with this

so you have to target basically the melee one

because you do not want to be frozen

if you are you slow down you can't really flee from the fight it is an extra bit of worry

that you do not want to have to deal with so target him.

It would be quite annoying to be ambushed by a bunch of these.

Now you can very easily farm these ice balls.

Put a powder snow down and then all you need to do is funnel a zombie inside there.

It's gonna get trapped.

Got an iron sword.

This guy will get trapped and over time it's gonna start freezing and then convert it into the frostbite.

Any moment now.

There we go.

And now it gets out because frostbites are immune to that sort of thing.

They can walk on top of the powder snow.

I should point out that husks also change into frostbites.

And if you drown frostbites in water, they will change back into a zombie.

It's a very easily farmable item.

Just find yourself a zombie spawner, funnel them all the way down into some random hole, drop down some powder snow, and then loot the heck out of it.

Very, very easy.

Now, if you're wondering if ice balls deal additional damage to a blaze, the answer is I'm not sure.

First of all, we'll test with snowballs.

So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, which is correct because snowballs deal 1 .5 hearts of damage to a blaze.

So 7 would total about 10 hearts.

And now let's try an ice ball.
