You see, I'm the kind of game that plays a lot of video games, and when I don't understand something, I'm also the kind of guy

that will spend hours digging through wikis trying to sort out

plot lines to some of the most confusing games in the world.

Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy, Destiny, and Resident Evil.

As a way to get this channel in the direction I would like it to go, we're going to be redoing our Resident Evil full recap series, talking about each of the games,

allowing you to understand what's happening before Resident Evil 8 drops.

So, today we're going to be telling you the story of Resident Evil 3.

What happened to Jill more directly?

September 28th, 1998.

Jill awakens in cold sweat.
12
She's been holed up in her apartment for weeks, knowing that Umbrella and the police are watching her.

She stumbles into the bathroom, trying to watch the fear in her sink.
14
The blood drips down onto the white porcelain as she looks up, shocked to discover that she has changed.

Her face is rotting as a zombie stares back at her.
16
She reaches for her pistol not wanting to become like the others, not wanting to become like her friends, not wanting to become a zombie.

She presses the barrel to her forehead and she fires.

Jill awakens again drenched in sweat from her nightmare
19
and the phone is ringing in her apartment as she goes to pick it up.

It's Brad Vickers, the only other member of Starz still left in the city and he tells her, She has to get out.

Something is coming.

It's at that moment that the wall explodes as a massive creature attacks her.

She tries to run, escaping the building.
24
Fire and destruction going on around her.
25
But that creature continues to give chase, throwing her through the building.

As Jill gets outside, she discovers that the city has fallen into chaos.

Zombies are everywhere, trying to eat those few that still remain.

And as Jill escapes the nemesis, she meets up with Brad.

Brad telling her that the nemesis is hunting Starz members.

And moments later, the two are chased by zombies into a nearby bar.

Brad gets in the way, sacrificing himself to this monster, allowing Jill to escape so that he can make up for the cowardice that he portrayed in Arklay Mountains.

Jill continues to make her way through the city, finally arriving in a parking garage where a rescue chopper awaits on the roof.

She travels up.

She's done it.

She's going to get away.

But the chopper is destroyed, and the nemesis once again emerges from the shadows.

Fed up with the creature's relentless pursuit, Jill drives a car into it, ramming it off of the building, sending them both plummeting to the streets below.

Stuck in the wreckage, Jill is shocked to discover that the nemesis quickly begins to recover.

She struggles to free the car crash, and as it explodes, it shreds some of the nemesis' suit, revealing the creature beneath.

A monstrosity that may have once been human, but now altered by the viruses that Umbrella has littered its body with.

Before it can finally kill off Jill Valentine, Carlos arrives, blasting the monster with a rocket launcher.

And the two quickly escape to the subway, where Carlos tells her that he is a member of the Umbrella Biohazard Containment Service.

Sent into the city to rescue survivors, Carlos takes her down into the subway system where he introduces her to the rest of the squad

and agrees to help them get the subway running again so that the survivors can get out of the city.

Jill makes her way back up to the streets where she fights off the zombies trying to reactivate the subway.

And along the way, she comes across a wounded member of the UBCS.

But before she can help him, Nikolai, another member of the UBCS, shoots him.

To reactivate the circuit breakers that control the subway, Jill is forced to journey into the nest of Drain Deimos.

She manages to fight her way through these creatures, reactivating the breakers and burning down their nest.

She then once again is chased by the nemesis, but manages to reactivate the subway, and with this done, she begins to make her way back to the subway.

As she gets through the city, she is once again attacked by the nemesis, who acquired a rocket launcher along the way.

She manages to escape, returning to the subway, where she meets up with the UBCS, and as Jill boards the train with the other survivors,

Carlos and Tyrell are ordered to head into the city to find the scientist, Nathaniel Bard, who has been working on a vaccine.

As the car pulls away Jill watches Carlos.

The train does not get far as the nemesis attacks the car while still trying to kill Jill.

Mikkel manages to use a C4 detonator to blow the car up that he is in along with the nemesis.

The subway crashes almost killing everyone inside

and as the train begins to flip over and over Jill is thrown clear and knocked unconscious.

We now cut to Carlos and Tyrell who are making their way through the city and they have arrived at the RPD.

Carlos manages to fight his way through the monsters in the station searching for Bard in the star's office

and inside he discovers that Bard has fled to the Raccoon City Hospital he returns to Tyrell

and the two then receive a transmission from Jill informing them

that everyone else in the subway is dead Tyrell continues to

go searching for the one man who can supposedly cure all of this

while Carlos rushes to find Jill pulling herself from the subway crash She makes her way to through the sewers, discovering more of Umbrella's experiments within the pipes.

She makes her way topside, finding herself in the park beneath the clock tower, and once again, she must face off with the nemesis,

which seems to have mutated into an almost animal -like creature.

She manages to defeat it once more, but this time is infected by one of its bone spikes.

Carlos finds her, unconscious, on the ground, and brings her to the hospital.

And at the Spencer Memorial Hospital, Carlos radios Tyrell with their position, leaving Jill barricaded in a room,

and he begins to search through the hospital for the supposed cure that Nathaniel Bard was working on.

After fighting his way through the zombies and the hunters, Carlos discovers that Umbrella is behind the creation of the virus

and that a cure remains in Bard's office and at the secret Umbrella lab beneath the hospital.

So Carlos, well, he manages to find the cure in Bard's office, and he makes his way back to Jill, where he quickly administers it, saving her life.

Tyrell then arrives and the two discover that the government is planning to destroy the entire city, wiping out the disease with a missile strike.

With the clock ticking, the zombies begin to surround the hospital.

Carlos defends the lobby while Tyrell activates the building security measures.

Carlos then returns to their barricaded room, telling Tyrell to stall the missile strike while he heads to the Umbrella facility to find the cure.

Meanwhile, Jill, currently fighting off the disease with the cure, finds Carlos in her dreams as a zombie who begs her to end his life.

He turns attacking and eating her, and that's when she awakens in the barricaded room.

She discovers Tyrell, who fills her in on what is happening, that a missile strike is hours away.

So Jill decides to find Carlos in the underground lab.

Fighting her way through the lab, Tyrell catches up to her, informing her that the government will call off the strike if they can get the cure.

The pair are attacked by the nemesis once again, who kills Tyrell before Jill can escape, making her way to the disposal center of the Umbrella facility.

There, the nemesis attacks her again, causing her to lose the vaccine, which is picked up by Nikolai.

He informs her that he has been sent in to gather combat data of the creatures as they fight against the survivors.

As Jill fights the nemesis in the disposal center, Carlos arrives to help her.

Working together, they manage to trap the creature, and Carlos uses the chemicals to melt it into a pile of goo, supposedly killing the nemesis finally.

Jill continues to chase Nikolai, and she finds him in another test chamber and demands that he give her the vaccine.

However, the nemesis returns once again, now mutated into a blob -like mass that attacks her.

Jill uses a railgun designed by Umbrella for the U .S.

Army to finally kill this monster, once and for all.

She continues to follow Nikolai, arriving on the roof where he has a helicopter ready for his escape.

Carlos has been knocked unconscious, and Jill is forced to fight against Nikolai.

The soldier gets the drop on her, destroying the vaccine by shooting the vial.

And as he aims his weapon at him, Carlos grabs the traitor from behind, holding him so that Jill can take that shot.

She debates what to do, but then she shoots him in the shoulder, leaving him wounded on the rooftop.

As the two prepare to leave, allowing Nikolai to die with the missile hitting, the traitor tells Jill that if they leave him to die, she'll never know the truth.

She decides it's better to let him die.

They fly to safety, watching as Raccoon City is vaporized behind them.

And with that, we have the conclusion to the Resident Evil 3 storyline.

What Jill did, what Carlos did, and basically the condensed version that the remake made.

Now, quick question for you guys.

I really enjoyed the Resident Evil 3 remake, but as a Resident Evil fan, I do realize what we are missing.

If you don't know, there was quite a bit of cut content from the original

game to turn this one into less of a horror game

and more of a run away from the monster set piece kind of a game.

I personally don't think it was a terrible idea to do that, but a lot of people are against it.
