Much like a home needs a street address, every device connected to the Internet needs a unique address.

And IPv6 is the latest system designed to provide a virtually unlimited number of Internet addresses for the digital age.

So how will Vietnam push ahead with that objective?

International experts raised Vietnam's rapid progress in IPv6 adoption.

By the end of 2025, the country ranked among the worst top seven with around 68% usage,

well above the global average of 43%.

As Vietnam moves toward IPv6-only deployment, experts say the next day will be more challenging.

The challenges they face from moving from dual stack to IPv6 only will probably come around expertise,

needing some training and skills, That knowledge is important.

But also they need to transition some of their equipment.

A lot of this equipment can be replaced during normal hardware refresh cycles.

And there's still time.

There's still another four years before 2030.

To support the transition, a new assessment framework was introduced to help government agencies,

organizations and businesses businesses measure their IPv6-only readiness.

Through this framework, organizations can clearly understand their current level of readiness and identify where they stand in the transition process.

This helps them develop appropriate solutions and build practical roadmaps aligned with the national goal.

The transition will be implemented in phases

and is expected to have minimal impact on how people use the Internet in their daily life.

Over the longer term, IPv6-only networks are expected to improve operational efficiency,
