and digital literacy programs to help create a safer online environment.

Though not a parent herself, Nguyễn Nguyễn Quỳnh has dedicated herself to protecting children online,

having founded a digital safety initiative and authored three books exploring the dangers of harmful online content and trends.

From my own experience and what I've witnessed around me, I knew I had to take action.

Together with a few close friends, I found CyberKid Vietnam to run workshops and community programs

that raise awareness about protecting children and teenagers as the online world becomes an increasingly important part of their lives.

Across Vietnam, individuals, organizations and authorities have worked together for years to better protect children online.

More than 1,800 cases of online child abuse have been handled, hundreds of thousands of harmful posts removed,

and around 350,000 websites with content harmful to children blocked.

There are many lessons and success stories.

Most importantly, we have built a coordination network connecting law enforcement, child protection agencies, the media and multinational companies.

On March 23rd, 2026, the Prime Minister approved a national program to protect

and support children online for the 2026 to 2030 period.

It aims not only to reduce risks, but also to build a generation of digital citizens with support from domestic and international organizations.

Globally, major social media platforms are also introducing child safety measures

from age limits and default private accounts to AI content moderation and parental controls.

Some have created child-friendly versions such as YouTube kids and Instagram teen accounts.

Together, these efforts share one goal,

creating a safer, healthier online environment where children are protected from harmful content and can grow in the digital age.
