How to Play Volleyball Today we'll learn the rules of Volleyball for beginners.

Volleyball is a team sport which is played between two teams consisting of six players.

The objective of Volleyball is to send the ball over the

net to hit the ground on the opponent's side of the court, while the opponent's team counters by trying to prevent the ball

from being hit on the ground on their side of the court.

Volleyball Player Rolls Each team's side of the court is divided into an attack zone and defense zone.

Three players play in each of the zones.

Front row or attack zone players' main goal is to block the opponent's team ball

and attack and try to send the ball over the net to hit the ground on the opponent's team's side.

The back row or defense zone players' main duty is to play defensive games by digging into the opponent's attacks.

Volleyball rules.

All games are played in a best of 3 or 5 sets.

If playing best of 3, then the first 4 sets are played to 25 points.

3. If playing best of five, then the first four sets are played to 25 points.

5. To win a set, a team must win by two clear points.

6. The team who wins more sets at the end of the game wins.

7. Each team can only touch the ball three times while the ball is on their side of the court.

9. Teams are allowed to substitute at any time, but if a player is coming back in the game, then return can only be swapped for the player who replaced that player.

10. Players are not allowed to block or attack a serve from on or from inside the 10-foot line.

Side-Out Scoring In this method, only the team who is serving can score points.

The non-serving team can only earn the right to serve.

Method number two, rally scoring.

In this scoring method, teams score a point when the other team fails to return the ball legally.

Player rotating rules.

Each time in the side out scoring match, all six players of the team who wins possession of the serve must rotate one spot clockwise.

So the right back player will move to the middle back.

The middle back player will move to the left back.

Left back player will move to the left front.

Left front player will move to the middle front.

Middle front player will move to the right front.

and the right front player will move to the back right position.

Now this right back player is the new server.

If the serving team wins a point, then stay in the same position.
