I think the first question is, what are biosimilars?

So biosimilars are similar biologics to the innovator molecule.

So you and I talk a lot about Amgen's mission, which is to serve patients.

How can biosimilars help us get more medicines to patients?

The mission to serve patients is something that's very personal to me.

I've had many members of my family that have taken Amgen products

and I can see the direct impact that it's had on their lives.

And so when we think about biosimilars, it all comes back to the portfolio.

And what we're trying to do is provide patients, healthcare providers, and the healthcare ecosystem with more options.

So how can we get more biosimilar medicines to patients?

It all comes down to our portfolio and to our people.

And so our portfolio is an industry-leading U.S biosimilar portfolio that we have.

Eight approved molecules that are available, three they're in late-stage development in the pipeline,

and we're actively looking at identifying the next wave of molecules to come into our pipeline.

And by providing you know more options for patients, we can help then fulfill Amgen's mission to serve even more patients over the next coming years.

Mark, my next question for you is about the price of medicines.

How can biosimilars lower the cost of medicine for people?

It's on a lot of people's minds right now.

What I'd say is it comes down to competition.

Biosimilars provide competition in the marketplace and they provide patients, healthcare providers and the overall ecosystem more options that patients can choose from.

And we know that we've been able to save over $50 billion to date because of biosimilars.

And over the next few years, an additional $180 billion in savings for the overall healthcare ecosystem through competition and through choices.
