Betty is furious that this potential leader is bragging about such behaviour and that there have been no repercussions,

especially since previous presidential nominees have been held to a much higher standard of conduct.

From previous research conducted on citizens that have been in Betty's situation,

we know that she is likely to engage in hasty decision-making via the dispositional system, that she feels that a core aspect of political life is under threat

and is more likely to engage in the political participation, like protesting.

So by this example, we can see that emotions,

like anger, are a primary element of political psychology that researchers can use to investigate how people behave and react.
