which you can introduce yourself in English when you meet new people in formal and informal situations.

So let's get started.

The most basic way to introduce yourself is obviously my name is or I am.

Hi my name is Jill.

When somebody tells you their name you can say nice to meet you.

So nice to meet you.

Really nice to meet you.

You can also say pleased to meet you.

But that's a little bit more formal so you can save it for work situations or business meetings.

This can be formal or informal but it sounds a a little bit more formal than nice to meet you.

if you want to be really nice to somebody and really welcoming you can say I've heard a lot about you.
