Today, our topic is, what do teenagers like doing in their free time?

Let's begin with a simple question.

Nam, what do you usually do in your leisure time?

Well, I usually spend my free time playing basketball and reading comic books.

I'm really keen on sports because they help me keep fit and stay healthy.

I also enjoy reading because it helps me reduce stress after a long day at school.

Last year I took up basketball, and now I play with my friends three times a week.

That sounds wonderful.

How about you, Mai?

My hobbies are quite different.

I enjoy drawing, and I'm also interested in music.

I often listen to music while drawing pictures.

At weekends, I join an art club where I can learn new skills and make new friends.

I think drawing helps me develop creativity and become more patient.

That's impressive.

Nowadays, many teenagers spend lots of time online.

Do you often use the Internet in your free time?

Yes, I do.

I sometimes surf the Internet to learn new basketball skills.

I also watch educational videos and search for information for my school projects.

However, I don't spend too much time online because I want to balance study and leisure.

I use the Internet every day, too.

I sometimes scroll through social media, chat online with my classmates, and upload photos of my drawings.

The internet is useful, but I think we should use it wisely.

Too much screen time isn't good for our health.

I completely agree.

Do you think hobbies are important for teenagers? Of course.

Having a hobby helps us relax, learn new things, and become more confident.

It also teaches us teamwork and responsibility.

I agree.

Some hobbies even help.

Teenagers improve social skills because we can join clubs and take part in different activities.

Besides, hobbies make our lives more interesting and meaningful.
