Shadowing-Übung: Draw This Cute Zombie in Procreate 👻 | Easy Step-by-Step Tutorial for Beginners - Englisch Sprechen Lernen mit Video

Lektion wird erstellt...
1
You can draw this in Procreate.
2
During this super easy to follow tutorial I will guide you through the steps of drawing this cute zombie character.
3
You don't need any experience with drawing or with Procreate.
4
I'm sure you can do this and that you'll end up with a really fun character.
5
The canvas we're working on is 2500 pixels by 2500 pixels
6
and of course I have left a free color palette for you to download down in the description.
7
So if you're ready let's get started.
8
We'll start out by creating a simple sketch of our little
9
zombie the sketch i would like to use the 6b pencil
10
which you can find in the sketching section and for the color we'll just use black
11
i have the opacity set to 100 and size at 30 and i will start with a rounded shape for the head
12
it's a little bit squished at the bottom and also at the top
13
around a shape like this and it has these big cartoony ears
14
and very big eyes you can make a circle here you can hold your pen in place
15
and then tap your finger on the screen for a perfectly round circle
16
and then we'll make this one a little bit smaller just
17
to make it extra wonky for the mouth we'll make like a little a semi circle like this
18
and then the bottom will be more flat then for the body we'll make a line like this
19
and this this is like its chest you can close it here at the bottom
20
and I will make a simple little simple shorts
21
so a little line like this for it's my crotch and then two legs two lines going down and
22
then a big rounded shape like this a big semi circle
23
and I close it with this at the bottom for its
24
shoes then a line over here for the t -shirt
25
so a little curve and then connect it to the body
26
and then simple arms like this
27
so this is the base feel free to take a screenshot of this
28
so you can use that as a reference
29
and how you're going to add more to this like pupils
30
for instance you can also have different sizes for those
31
and let's add some hair just make these rounded shapes then here this is like the left side
32
and then here we'll go to the right side in this direction
33
making these rounded shapes until you are here at the right ear
34
and then at the front you can make shape like this
35
and maybe some hair moving like this let's also add simple eyebrows
36
just like these sausage shapes now let's zoom in a little bit we can add some lines underneath the eyes
37
so that they are like sagging and here as well just an extra curve
38
giving him a little zombie feature now let's add teeth
39
to its mouth i want it to look a little bit like dorky just these teeth and then a little tongue
40
we can add this color here of its t -shirt
41
and we can add a shape to the ear let's make a curve like this
42
and then an extra curve inward just a simple cartoony eye
43
so curve like this and then a little curve like this
44
and now let's add some extra to the shoe we can make lines like this broader than the leg
45
and then a little bit of a wiggly line connecting these
46
so two lines like this and then connect them and we can add an extra line here
47
for like the sole of the shoe
48
and we can also add like little zigzaggy lines at the bottom of its short
49
and for the t -shirt as well maybe there is a hole in its shirt over here
50
and maybe the bottom part is also a bit irregular
51
and you can add pockets to its pants
52
and let's make this one a little bit zigzaggy now let's just create very simple fingers like this.
53
Just a few lines.
54
You can also add a wound to its forehead.
55
It's a bit like Harry Potter I guess.
56
it has a it's almost like a lightning bolt
57
and maybe he was bitten in his in his face so we'll have a big hole here
58
and we could also add a bite mark to its ear maybe there's part of its ear is missing
59
now let's also add a little chin line just a small semi -circle like this
60
and you can add as many wounds and damages as you like
61
and then once you're happy with your sketch again you can
62
make a screenshot here of course now you can lower the
63
opacity by tapping the n slide to around 30 percent and then tap a plus for a new layer on top.
64
And on this layer, we are going to create the line art.
65
And for the line art, I'd like to go to the inking brushes and use the studio pen.
66
And for the color, we'll use this one over here.
67
That's the seventh color in the first row.
68
Now, the opacity of this brush is at 100%.
69
I have the size set to 10%.
70
And with this brush, the harder you press, the thicker your line will become at least that's the case
71
if you are using a pencil like the Apple Pencil
72
which has pressure sensitivity so
73
that way you can play around with your line thickness a little bit now let's start by outlining the face
74
and it can be handy to rotate your canvas gives you a bit more control
75
sometimes it can be easier to make a curve like this down like this
76
now let's go for the ear here we have
77
that bite using a little pressure here making a delicate good line then
78
that curve for the ear and then we have the hair
79
and don't worry if you don't get the line in one go I'd say long live the undo option
80
Now for this ear, a little curve,
81
and then we'll continue with this part of the hair,
82
and then connect it here and you can make some lines a little bit more heavy especially look at the undersides
83
for instance underneath the face make that a bit more heavy
84
that will add well it'll add interest to the illustration playing around with that line thickness
85
So just following the lines, varying the pressure.
86
For these holes, I'll use a little pressure, and of course you could also just play around with the size of your brush perhaps
87
if you're a bit heavy -handed it'll be hard to change that thickness with your pressure
88
And this leg, those pockets.
89
Simple fingers, and then those shoes,
90
it's all very cartoony, a little extra line,
91
And then for the face, let's start with the mouth.
92
then go around those teeth create that tongue
93
and then here we can actually drag in the color I
94
see I undid this line let's go over there again we have that little chin using little pressure there the eyebrows
95
and for that wound I'm going to use very little pressure
96
making that more delicate and for this one as well
97
then for the eyes i'd like to switch my brush before i draw those let's go to the calligraphy brushes
98
and use the monoline brush since that doesn't have pressure sensitivity otherwise
99
if you create a circle it might end up like not
100
very even now let's set the opacity of the brush to 100
101
and the size to 10
102
and then we'll just follow our sketch draw a circle hold your pen in place
103
and then tap one finger on the screen for a perfectly round circle
104
and then here as well hold your pen in place tap one finger on the screen
105
and then let go and then we can switch back to our studio pen let's draw these pupils and then those saggy
106
parts I'll rotate the screen the canvas a bit again just to make
107
that easier and I'm using a little pressure and then we can add some extra lines
108
that's nice and then on this side we'll do the same
109
something like this you could make the underside a little bit thicker
110
just
111
when you vary the line weight in your illustration try to
112
go for all the undersides for example all the places where there would be a bit more shadow
113
or where something is like in touch with the underground now
114
you can make those a little bit thicker like here the underside of the shirt
115
and that'll that'll give a nice look
116
so don't go making all of the lines heavy
117
because then you will lose the effect could make this one a little bit thicker for the hair so just some undersides
118
i hope you're having fun creating your own little zombie
119
so far if you want to follow even more appropriate tutorials like 250 more including this tutorial in
120
which we draw a cute little witch then come check out my patreon page it is perfect
121
if you are starting to get a Procreate drawing addiction or
122
if you just want to get your skills to that next level.
123
So I will just leave a link for you down in the description
124
if you want to check it out because it will be great to see you there.
125
But now let's continue.
126
All right now we have our line art.
127
We can turn off our sketch layer and then let's tap our line art layer and set it to reference.
128
Now we can make new layers underneath
129
and use this line art layer as reference
130
and drop the colors on separate layers so let's go here first
131
and tap the plus
132
and then for instance let's go for its skin color that's this one second color in the first row
133
and we can drop it on there if your color still
134
spills out all over make sure that the entire line is closed
135
that there are no gaps or perhaps you need to change your color drop threshold
136
if you drag in the color you can go to the right
137
or the left and change that threshold and for the arms
138
and of course the legs and its neck
139
and this little part here now let's make a layer for the hair let's type a plus
140
and for the hair let's use this color fifth color in the first row let's drag it on there
141
and we can also use it for the eyebrows then let's
142
make another layer here we can do the eyes we'll pick
143
this color first color in the second row now let's also
144
put the teeth on here we can use this color fourth
145
color in the third row let's use continue filling you can
146
just simply tap here now you can't see the teeth here
147
and because we don't have a background color yet let's go to background color here
148
and use this color this first one as our background color
149
and then let's continue let's make a new layer let's tap the plus
150
and then let's color the wounds with this color fourth color let's drag it in there
151
let's see maybe yeah there we have it then you can
152
use continue filling fill these areas then we'll switch the color to this one sixth color
153
and the second row and use that for the eyes here
154
that will make another layer tap the plus let's use this
155
one for the pants we can use this color second color in the third row
156
drag it on there use continue filling fill these areas as
157
well then a layer for the shoes let's tap the plus
158
and then let's use this color sixth color in the third row and use continue filling
159
and now let's make a layer for the t -shirt let's tap the plus
160
then pick this color sixth color in the second row drag it on there use continue filling
161
and fill these areas as well and then let's tap a little check mark
162
so now we have all our flat colors now we are going to bring our zombie to life with shadow
163
and lighting let's start with the face let's go to this layer and also
164
before we continue let's turn off reference here just in case
165
you want to fill a shape you don't want to follow these lines anymore
166
if you create a shape on top here i want to
167
fill it you just want to make it follow the shape
168
that you have created so let's tap the plus
169
and then let's set this new layer to clipping mask so
170
that whatever we draw it'll only show up on the skin
171
and then for the color we'll use this one a third color in the first row
172
and we are going to use
173
that to create some shadow let's make the brush a bit
174
bigger 30 percent we'll go along the edge of the here
175
and along the face
176
and along the bottom part let's either rotate
177
or rotate yourself and let's add a little shadow underneath the eye
178
and also on top you can
179
also hold your pen in place
180
to make a nice rounded shape
181
and also So some shadow on the ear. And here as well.
182
And you can also add a few irregularities, some dots, it looks a bit sickly.
183
So that'll add a nice extra touch
184
and then let's also add shadows along the arm and here on the inside of its shirt,
185
its neck and on its legs and then let's go darker,
186
let's pick this fourth color and we can use that for even darker shadows just along the edge,
187
make it a little bit darker
188
and along its face here
189
and in the ear a little bit over here
190
and for its neck we can make that darker
191
and perhaps a little bit along the arm I think this
192
works nicely then let's also add some light let's pick this
193
color fourth color in the third row now let's make the brush a little bit smaller let's go for
194
like 15 % let's make a little light edge here a little highlight also do
195
that on the ear and the underside of the mouth
196
and we can also do it at this on this side of this arm
197
so I'm imagining the light is coming from this direction all
198
right then let's move to the eyes first let's tap the plus for a new layer on top set
199
that new layer to clipping mask and then let's use this color second color
200
and the second row
201
and let's create a curve like this you can hold your
202
pen in place again you could also use edit to
203
edit it a little bit go for something like this
204
and then go back to the brush color this in and then do the same over here
205
and then we also need some light here so we can pick this fourth color again in the third row
206
add a little light edge on its eyeball and a little shiny light
207
a little edge and a highlight
208
and then let's also add a little bit of shadow to
209
the teeth we can pick this color fifth color in the third row it's very subtle
210
but you can add a little line on the right side then we'll move
211
to this layer let's tap a plus set the new layer to clipping mask
212
and then let's pick this color fifth color in the second row we can use that to add a little bit of
213
shadow a little wigglies in that wound a little bit of texture
214
a little line along this edge
215
and then some wigglies to make this look like flesh then
216
we'll switch to this color seventh color in the second row for a little bit of shadow on its saggy
217
eye here as well looking great zombie guy then we'll move
218
to the pants let's tap the plus set the new layer to clipping mask
219
and we'll start with this color third color in the third row to add some shadow like underneath the shirt
220
and at the bottom of its pants and here on the right side
221
and we can also add some light touches with this first
222
color in the third row you can add a little highlight here
223
and also some little marks adding some very slight texture now
224
we'll move to the shoes tap the plus again set the new layer to clipping mask
225
and the reason I'm using clipping mask and not alpha lock is
226
because I like being able to use the eraser on that clipping mask layer
227
instead of having to pick with the base color
228
if i would be painting on here with alpha lock turned on
229
and i want to remove a part of the shadow i
230
would have to use the base color it can be well it can get a little bit messy
231
so i like clipping mask then let's pick um let's see this color first
232
seventh color and the third row we'll add some shadow curving along the shoe and along the bottom
233
now let's add shadow to this part of the shoe
234
and then let's add a little highlight with this color fifth color and the third row
235
let's add a highlight to the left side then we'll move
236
on to the shirt again tap the plus set the new layer to clipping mask
237
and then we'll use this color let's add shadow here at the top and here on the right side
238
and along the bottom a little bit and we can add some marks maybe it's like dirt marks
239
maybe a little shadow here
240
and then a little highlight with this color fourth color in the third row a little edge here
241
and here now we just need to work on the hair let's go to this layer tap the plus set
242
that layer to clipping mask
243
and then let's pick this color sixth color in the first row
244
and then let's first add darker touches let's make the
245
brush a bit bigger again 25 % let's
246
make dark shadow here underneath these parts of the hair
247
so we'll mainly go over
248
that lower part it also makes some shapes like some hair shapes
249
so darkening that entire underside also darken the bottom of the eyebrows
250
and add some dark touches here
251
and then let's use this lighter color fourth color in the first row to add some slight highlights
252
Along these curves, also here,
253
gives it a bit of hair texture
254
and we can also add a little highlight to the eyebrows
255
so it adds shape to the hair in a very simple
256
way now for the final part I'd like to add a sticker effect to my zombie
257
and to do
258
that I'm going to show you a trick let's turn off
259
the background color layer here let's go to the top here
260
and then let's slide down with three fingers
261
and use copy all then slide down with three fingers again
262
and use paste now at the top you have a layer
263
with your entire illustration let's turn the background color on again
264
and now we are going to drag this layer all the
265
way to the bottom then let's pick this color fourth color in the third row
266
and we'll go back to this layer tap it turn on alpha lock
267
and tap it again and use fill layer now it's just the silhouette
268
and now we are going to blur this layer
269
so we'll go to the magic wand then to gauzy
270
and blur and slide to the right until you get this a little glow around your zombie.
271
Something like this should be enough, 13%.
272
Then we'll go to the selection tool, the S -shaped ribbon, set it to automatic, and then tap your zombie.
273
And then it'll select the blurred layer.
274
And you can slide with your pen to make that selection grow.
275
Just make it grow a little bit let's go for like
276
86 % might be different for you don't go to the
277
layer menu tap the plus for a new layer tap
278
that new layer and then use fill layer again you can turn this one off
279
and now we have a nice white edge around our zombie
280
for a final touch I'd also like to add a shadow
281
so let's duplicate this layer slide to the left tab duplicate
282
go to the bottom one then pick this color that's the
283
seventh color in the third row drag it on there then
284
go to the magic wand to Gaussian blur slide to the right to maybe 10 % let's see
285
and then go to the move and transform tool let me turn magnetics off here
286
and then drag your layer down
287
and to the right a little bit then tap the arrow
288
again to get out of here i think we could make
289
our shadow even a little bit darker very easy way to do
290
that is by going to the magic wand and to use saturation brightness
291
and turn down the brightness you can just play around with this let's go for 43
292
and then tap the magic wand again
293
and there you have your cute little zombie I hope you had fun
294
and I hope to see you next time for the next tutorial.
