Shadowing-Übung: My Last Video #RIPSparta - Englisch Sprechen Lernen mit Video

Lektion wird erstellt...
1
Hey guys.
2
- Yeah.
3
So I figured I would make this video to...
4
just to tell you that Sparta has passed away.
5
Um, I found him this morning in his bean bag.
6
He slept in this giant bean bag because he's a spoiled cat.
7
as he should have been. And...
8
we all kind of slept in this morning
9
because the kids stayed up kind of late last night playing with the fireflies out here and uh anyway uh
10
I woke up and I came downstairs around 8 :15 a .m.
11
And I was shaving and I heard a weird meow and I was like, oh, that's, weird and I thought it was Gadget at first and so I did a, you know, the meow back,
12
whatever, trying to find him and Gadget wasn't there and I looked in the bean bag and there was Sparta.
13
and usually at this time sparta is like food hey hello food it's food time you know and I thought, wow, that's not good.
14
Um.
15
so i you know i grabbed sparta up
16
and cradle him like i do and he meowed at me and i said oh What's going on buddy?
17
And I was looking at him and he's breathing really fast and I'm panting and I was like, "Oh no, this is not good." So I took him into the kitchen
18
and I sat him down so I could get down to his level and look at him and whatever.
19
And when I put him on his feet, he just flopped over.
20
I.. after Loki, I...
21
you know, I know the signs of this stuff.
22
And I mean, I'm not a vet, but it was pretty clear to me that Sparta was not okay.
23
And then that's when I...
24
I told my wife Kristen, I said, "Hey, get the kids." I think this might be our goodbye.
25
So Kristen went upstairs and got our daughter Chell.
26
who's getting ready to turn four and Atlas was there, who just turned two.
27
And, uh, You know, because, you know, this is an opportunity to teach kids about life and death, you know?
28
Sorry I...
29
We said our goodbyes to Sparta.
30
because I was pretty certain and I was right that that
31
the position that he was in and then the way he was was it was not good so um
32
That's when I made the video, the last video you guys probably saw.
33
Sparta's last video.
34
I'll say goodbye to him.
35
I didn't want to shoot too much more with him because he was...
36
it was suffering and then I I promised that boy, I said, "I won't let you just
37
go through this I mean I'll fight tooth
38
and nail to keep you as long as you're gonna be healthy on the other side of this fight and Anyway, so I took Sparta.
39
to the vet and he was just fighting.
40
He was not feeling well.
41
Got there.
42
You know, and they took him in.
43
I had to wait in my car at first because of this COVID stuff and The doctor called and said, Corey, I've got bad news for you.
44
This...
45
This doesn't look good.
46
She said that...
47
sparta suffered what's kind of like a stroke where he had a blood clot that clotted up in his like rear legs,
48
which paralyzed him, you know, down to his legs or whatever.
49
And she said that it's called a, like a saddle aorta or something like that.
50
And she says, you know, they've, they were his regular vet and they, they didn't see the heart disease.
51
in him at all and she said it's just this it's hard you know
52
and i understand that and she says what do you want to do i said can we fight What can we do?
53
She's like, "Look, I'm gonna be honest." She said, I can push.
54
I can pump him with all the medications and maybe we can get him back home and feeling better.
55
She says, but look, Corey, I'm going to be straightforward with you.
56
It's going to happen again.
57
It's inevitable.
58
He's at this point, it's You're just waiting for this again. And so that's...
59
that's when I told her I said well that's not
60
that's that's i can't do that to him
61
I can't let him suffer i can't for my own
62
thing it's that would be selfish of me to let him suffer so I ginked the okay.
63
- to euthanize him and I said I have to be there.
64
Please.
65
So they let me in.
66
You know, I went into the vet. And, um...
67
- Yeah.
68
there's a little switch um i i learned this with loki
69
there's a little switch they they they brought him in and They said, "When you're ready, you flip this little switch on the other side of the
70
room to tell the doctor to come in to give him the medication." Uh... But...
71
Sparta...
72
when they gave him to me, he was suffering Like, he was not...
73
It was not easy.
74
It was like Loki was easy because he was...
75
already lethargic, he didn't have a whole lot of food, and all of this, but Sparta went from being perfectly fine
76
to this and so he had energy but he couldn't do anything about it so he just just hurt.
77
He just you know, and...
78
Thank you.
79
It was so much so that like...
80
Like, he had dug his claws into me a little bit, and I understand, dude.
81
Are you kidding me?
82
Like...
83
he's dying and so i i had to like jump over very quickly and
84
flipped that switch for the doctor to come in and I felt so horrible.
85
I'm like, I didn't even get like a minute and a half with him.
86
You know, but at the same time, it's not about me.
87
It's about him.
88
And there were so many things that I wanted to say to him.
89
And I did with my heart.
90
- Yeah.
91
You know, and...
92
The doctor came in.
93
about two minutes later, so I had a little bit more time with him and He calmed down a little bit, but he was still...
94
not happy and and so she came in she's like okay i'm gonna give him the sedative now and
95
said okay
96
and I looked him in the eye the entire time I just looked at Sparta in the eyes and I
97
I just told him.
98
everything I felt but I didn't want him to be alone.
99
I wanted him to know that he was loved and Good day.
100
you know, that he wasn't going to suffer anymore, and that I didn't break my promise. And then...
101
I watched him...
102
ease That was just a sedative at first.
103
And then the doctor said, "Okay." I'm going to go ahead and give him the medication that will stop his heart.
104
I said, okay.
105
Just kept looking at him.
106
Right in the eye.
107
- I watched him go.
108
I watched him leave.
109
I just told him how much I loved him and how much I appreciated him and how much...
110
I'm glad he was able to make such a difference in so many of you around the world.
111
It got easier once his fight ended.
112
Once he stopped being combative. But it's not easy.
113
It's...
114
Just...
115
I know he's not suffering, though.
116
Thank you.
117
so made one last video on instagram to you know, let everybody know because I'm going through this
118
and I know a lot of you guys are going through this too and Thank you.
119
So Story continues, I...
120
Thank you.
121
Having a hard drive home, of course, I'm alone.
122
I get home.
123
I felt like, okay, I'm composed.
124
Then, of course, I start seeing his...
125
you know, his food bowl, his toys and his things broke down again.
126
And now the hard part is my daughter, who, like I said, is getting ready to turn four.
127
It doesn't.
128
doesn't understand the process of life.
129
And, um, She was sad when she saw him when she said goodbye because he was there,
130
but when I came home without him, She.. she.. she just said...
131
But we still have Gadget.
132
Yeah, honey, we do.
133
And, you know, then I had to sit down and try to have a real conversation with a three -year -old, four -year -old.
134
about death and what that means and you know, and all that, of course, As much as I tried to explain it, it didn't.
135
come across and that's okay.
136
You know, that's okay.
137
I gave it a true shot and um Yeah,
138
so she's happy and oddly confused, and I get it.
139
Thank you.
140
But there's so many other things now I'm just dealing with.
141
- Okay.
142
I think I made a wise decision on this channel.
143
Thank you.
144
I think you guys are aware that I was pretty much stopping making videos and...
145
Mainly because like Sparta was getting older and I you know,
146
I'm getting older too and and my interests are changing and my life and career goals are different and and life, you know, life.
147
And, uh, He wasn't the cat on camera, he was just my boy.
148
And while he was off camera, He was just my boy.
149
Cuddling and still playing and battling and wrestling with gadget
150
and doing all the things that even this week he was Just as normal self Until he...
151
until this.
152
What I want from all of you today.
153
in Sparta's memory is to simply love your animals.
154
to simply give them More love today.
155
to spread love to appreciate.
156
the things that you have.
157
Appreciate the family that you have.
158
Appreciate the love that is in your life.
159
Thank you.
160
Because Sparta, that's That's all he was.
161
He was barely a cat.
162
Sparta was this love energy thing that just like looked really mean but wasn't he was just love and
163
I'm so glad I got to know that guy.
164
Man.
165
My longest roommate ever.
166
- Yeah.
167
- - Anyways, I uh I think that's it.
168
I was gonna make a you know, really long, special dedicated video to Sparta's life,
169
but You know, I-- I think he did it.
170
I think Sparta has already done that.
171
I think his life was Uh...
172
so much more impactful than anything I could possibly create on my own.
173
- So this is going to be the last video I make on this channel. on the Ming Kitty.
174
And with my final words on this channel, I just want to say, Thank you.
175
Thank you for all of the years.
176
Thank you for all of the love and thank you for all of the support.
177
Keep loving your pets.
178
Keep loving each other.
179
Just live your best.
180
Thanks for watching, guys.
181
I don't know how else to end it.
182
Later.
