i tried these shoes on back in i think it was

like 2021 maybe 2022 these are the laueve croc collapsible loafer this probably got a way better name than

that i tried them on at the laueve store in london

and from my memory they were about 850 pounds

and i was in love with them straight away however at

that point in time i was not going to drop 850 pounds on a pair of shoes

so i passed on them

but they've been pretty much living like rent-free in my head

ever since fast forward now 2026 i found these on the real real for 250 dollars

which is what's that in pounds what is 250 dollars in pounds

so 188 pounds so instead of paying 850 pounds i paid 188 pounds

so obviously that is a huge discount

and as you can tell they are in really really good

condition they literally pretty much look brand new like they maybe have been like one once

or twice so super super happy about this and

that price is crazy now the point of this story is

not to be like hey look at like my dream loafers

that i wanted for ages and that i passed on

and i was patient and i was patient

and i finally picked them up for a much more affordable

price that's not the story here the story is how i'm going to be returning my dream pair of loafers

so i've had these for about a week now

and they've just been sitting in my home

because I've been kind of going back on forth of whether I should keep them

or not and obviously if I wear them out can't return them

so even though they are secondhand you can still return to the real world.

It's the idea of them that made me purchase them being able to get something

that I wanted so bad and that I built up in my head

so bad and that now

that I do have them here don't get me wrong I still think they're a beautiful shoe

and I do really like them but

when I look at my collection I ask myself do I need them and

if you remember back in my wardrobe clear out video i

said liking something is just not a good enough reason anymore

for me to purchase something it has to either like fill

a gap in my wardrobe there has to be a bit more of a purpose to it

so again i really like these

but i don't know what purpose they uh serve anymore we

all get kind of like caught up in the idea of something new

and that excitement

and i just wanted to kind of show you firsthand how for me i'm trying to be smarter

when it comes to spending my money

and adding items into my wardrobe hopefully also it can maybe help you

and maybe make you just second guess you know

if you actually really need that item

or you're just kind of like caught up in the moment

and again if you do really like it it serves a purpose go for it but

if it is kind of just excitement you know maybe send

it back maybe don't click you know purchase who knows i'll probably watch this back

while editing and be like oh my god i need these

and then end up keeping them but for now they're going back.

So my wife and I are heading to Belgium today

because it is her Omar and Opa's 60th wedding anniversary which is crazy,

crazy being married for 60 years so definitely huge congratulations to them.

We're going for about a week so I thought I'd show you what I'm packing.

and intimate things but I think we're going to try have a day out in Antwerp

so I'll try get some of this there

and then we're actually going to Luxembourg

which again full transparency I didn't even know it was a place

or existed and I didn't even know it was its own country

so kind of excited to go there

so i'll see what i can film this is though my

actual airport outfit i have obviously the drees vintage drees boots

that you saw me pick up a

while back i love now traveling in cargos i found they're

super comfortable pockets again for days i know she gets she knows

that when we're leaving because she knows the suitcase

so she gets a little bit a little bit sad

but yeah this is what i'm traveling in some of you might think

that boots are crazy

but i find boots to be super comfortable i like how i can zip them on

and off but yeah this is the airport outfit so let's let's go to belgium
