The tasty pastry is normally eaten during the mooncake festival, also called the moon festival or the mid -autumn festival.

Similar to Thanksgiving, this holiday is celebrated with friends and family in many Asian countries on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month.

The Mooncake Festival started with the mythical story of Chang 'e.

Many countries celebrate the mooncake festival in their own way, according to their legendary tales.

In China, streets may be bustling and lined with brightly lit lanterns.

In Vietnam, the holiday is mainly celebrated for children.

And in Korea, families give thanks for the harvest and take part in games and dances.

All these celebrations have one thing in common, and that is the celebration of the moon with good food.
