1
Hey guys, welcome to our deep dive of our what makes sense in our Hong Kong apartment.
2
I want to show you guys the cute and functional positives of our space.
3
So first things first, the white walls, if you know, you know, our last apartment was disgusting.
4
Anyways, the white walls, obviously it makes a huge difference now that we're living in a space without ugly color walls.
5
It just makes it feel so much brighter, so much more zen, and that leads to the brightness of this room
6
so we get a lot of nice natural light with the large windows
7
which i really really appreciate i think i wake up much more energized
8
and happy so lighting makes a huge difference to mental health
9
and i want to show you guys the view as well this just makes sense
10
because even if in your higher we were in a higher unit in our previous apartment
11
but we saw nothing but buildings and into other people's units
12
but here we can actually see the buildings
13
but below we can see cars driving people walking
14
so people watching is actually pretty calming for me
15
so I really like just sitting on the couch over here a cozy couch
16
or just on the island to eat do work
17
while watching other people not in a creepy way though you know okay
18
and then that goes to our island I really really appreciate this island
19
because not only is it a comfortable place for us to sit
20
and do work it's a comfortable place for us to eat
21
as well we didn't really have a proper designated spot in our previous apartment to eat
22
because our table just wasn't as comfortable with the chairs too
23
so we ended up eating on the floor often this also makes sense
24
but we kind of had an addition to it
25
which are these height adjustable coffee tables sometimes louis
26
and i like to just do stuff in front of tv
27
because we're ipad babies so we need something to put our laptops
28
and our books or whatever so yeah that's really helpful
29
and also this cozy rug just makes sense because we are floor gang
30
so if we sit on the floor too long our butt hurts
31
or gets cold and this is just nice soft and warm
32
and then next what makes sense in our apartment is the i google this they're called recessed shelves
33
so i've never seen this until i actually moved into here
34
so there's shelves actually go in
35
and i found like oh this actually makes a lot more sense
36
because it saves a lot of space and it looks cute
37
and cool so we just have cute memories
38
and trinkets you know we have our watch section there are a cute little guard you know time clock
39
and my favorite shelf here the trinkets on this side
40
and the most important thing that makes sense in apartment is obviously our cute tissue box come on now
41
most important member of our household hee hee okay
42
and also i don't think we really would have used this
43
but we have a mini drink fridge i'm assuming this must have been for wine
44
or something but obviously we don't drink wine
45
so we have much more other important drinks in there like this not sponsored
46
but if you want to sponsor me let me know
47
and yeah so i think this is nice
48
and cozy especially in front of the tv in the living
49
room where we don't want to go all the way to our fridge not
50
that our space is that big to walk anyways
51
but it's a cute addition another recess shelf in here
52
which i find really useful where i keep my books day -to -day things you know
53
and the one interesting thing is
54
that we don't have keys for this apartment this used to be our place where we drop our keys and everything
55
but since we enter our space with cards we just leave it in our wallet in our bag
56
so this is more just for random stuff
57
and then look we actually have sunlight to actually help properly dry our clothes as well
58
but we still have the dehumidifier below we only use a dehumidifier now for
59
when we need to dry clothes otherwise we keep it off
60
because i find
61
that our acs are actually pretty useful in keeping this place not too humid as well
62
which leads me to how i really appreciate
63
that we only have one remote for both acs in the living room
64
and in our room and they have this nice placeholder for the remote
65
because you know this is easily lost
66
so that's very helpful i'll show you guys you know this
67
from the previous apartment this box actually comes in clutch it's a storage box
68
so we obviously need a space to put our bags
69
and even more bags okay okay nice you know it's just nice to have bags
70
and hooks for more bags okay coming over here we actually have
71
a proper oven so that makes me feel like i'm properly cooking
72
and baking again although i haven't baked yet we're gonna do
73
that soon but this is nice to have makes me feel like i'm cook a chef
74
and then one of my favorites
75
which i think never really taken the time to appreciate is a proper size sink with curved edges
76
and a proper sink nozzle and I want to hype up the curved edges
77
because it's just
78
so easy for the gunk to get into the strainer whereas
79
our previs apartment it was kind of stupid it was like sharp square edges
80
and then all the gunk just like collected here over time
81
and even if we clean it periodically it just kept getting nasty look at this this was this
82
and a little yeah i get excited over some fun stuff guys can you tell okay
83
and then a washer dryer that sings music to me
84
which i really like because it's like you're
85
so silly how can you learn how to sing
86
and one thing i do like about this compared to our
87
last one is this one is much more quieter like i
88
don't know why our previous i'm gonna put in a video
89
because i'm pretty sure i took one our previous apartment's laundry was like fucking break dancing in the living room
90
and it's like work it like work it's like why is it so loud it's so scary anyways look at this
91
let's turn that off see
92
so nice obviously i'm appreciative of this shelf where i'm able
93
to put more stuff on top of the microwave safely kettle mug my wellness shots
94
and my matcha station and this is a secret come here guys okay
95
so we leave storage around here but this is actually a fire exit so our front door is actually over there
96
but we have a separate fire exit exit did i say exit twice yes i did
97
so i find it really really interesting but kind of freaky but look
98
so this leads to the staircase so the interesting thing about this building is
99
that there's two separate staircases there's one for even floors
100
and one for odd floors so i'm not sure if they did
101
that intentionally because there's no space
102
or they wanted to use their actual fire exits just
103
because each floor only has two units so maybe they're thinking about safety
104
which i think is so cool that they thought that far too and i want to show you guys our fridge
105
so it's very cool that our fridge is covered with this cabinet because i think it just makes it look
106
more aesthetic and then this fridge has much more space and organization than our previous.
107
And we actually have proper egg organizers.
108
I find it really cute.
109
And then the freezer definitely has more space.
110
And these shelves just make a lot more sense.
111
But we have two big ones.
112
Love my edamame.
113
And then coming into our shoe cabinet.
114
So if we slide our bedroom door closed, there's a built -in shoe cabinet, which I find really, really useful and helpful
115
because we collect a lot of shoes as you can see boo the only downside about this is that if you're
116
lewis's size because he has big ass feet it won't fit in the shoe cabinet
117
so he had to order a separate one ipsies a big foot he's behind the camera giggling guys
118
and then come into our bedroom so i really like our bedroom
119
because it's nice and cozy the bed is actually more squishy
120
and it's more comfortable and what i really appreciate is here you can close the light
121
so i don't have to get up
122
and then here is my favorite thing is the reading light
123
so i usually like to have that on when i'm reading
124
and you know just chillaxing my phone i don't want to sleep yet
125
or when i get up and i want something dim
126
and slowly wake up then more shelves obviously our cute little buddies in the recess shelves here
127
which i really really like
128
what makes sense in the bathroom is that we have a rainfall shower
129
and a shower head
130
so we have options also just like the way everything was designed it just all makes sense aesthetically and functionally
131
which I am very very happy about one thing I forgot to mention is we have light dimmers
132
so in the evenings when we are in different moods
133
or watching tv we can dim the lights at different levels
134
which I really really appreciate and then we have another light dimmer here
135
which is not going to really show right now because it's bright
136
but there's like options to dim this light
137
and then it just makes it
138
so much better in terms of relaxation you know all
139
that jazz and the most most important thing as you know
140
if you've watched my videos
141
and you know me is i appreciate storage storage
142
storage storage storage storage storage
143
storage storage storage storage storage storage storage store oh storage don't mind
144
that storage storage storage storage
145
closet and storage all around here storage storage storage and more storage underneath the bed Woohoo!
146
ew it farted storage storage storage storage storage so
147
that was our full in -depth tour of what makes sense here in this apartment
148
so it has officially been a few weeks since we've moved
149
in i'm really really having a great time here i actually
150
really like the location the walk is actually pretty peaceful
151
and you know it's just very nice
152
so i'm really happy about everything i'm grateful
153
and i hope you guys enjoyed this video
