Hi everyone and welcome to my art studio ♡ Over the years many of you have asked to see more of my painting process. So, I thought  I would try something a little different.

A video series from my art studio where you  get to follow along as I work on my art.

In most of these videos there won't be that  much talking and probably a lot of very long scenes with mostly sounds of the brush strokes  which I hope can bring a sense of calm.

My goal with these videos is to just let you join  my process and hopefully bring you some inspiration.

My art studio is one of the places  where I feel most at peace. There's a certain energy in this space, a kind of stillness  combined with creativity. In here I feel like I can breathe a little deeper and I hope  that somehow you can feel that energy through the screen when you watch this. And this  is the first video in this new painting series and in this one I am mostly working on  the early stages of my paintings, building the textures, preparing the surface and laying the  foundation before the painting really begins.

I always spend a lot of time on the textures  and I often mix my own paste out of nature materials.

And this video is made from  different moments in my art studio, filmed during several days and weeks this  spring. So sit back, relax and let's begin.

Hello ♡ I am preparing a new canvas. I am actually  spending a lot of time just preparing a bunch of canvases now so that I can go crazy painting  later. But I honestly enjoy this process so much!

Spending a lot of time with the structures is   like part of the whole process. And I love to start painting on a perfectly prepared canvas. Like when  a texture is amazing then it's just another feeling to paint, you know. I'm making this kind of  paste with earth pigments, limestone sand and then I always add an ingredient to this  that is very special to me, i'm going to show you.

I have a bunch of bottles with  water and this water is very special.

It's water that I picked from a beautiful  waterfall in the North of Sweden, in the very North of Sweden, on the border to Norway. The waterfall is called "Silverfallet" which means "The Silverfall". And I shared about this in a video  when I picked this water, so I have a few bottles that I use when I paint. Sometimes I just mix  some drops in when I do the textures and sometimes I mix it with some watercolor paint. But  I'm also saving a bunch of bottles because I would like to make like a special water collection  of paintings where I will use much more of the water. But for this paste that I do I just  use some drops just to add some magic, I guess.

This is the texture I did yesterday with  the limestone pigments and the drops of water from the silverfall. It looks so nice,  i love this! It almost looks like stone.

So this is a texture I worked with yesterday  and it has finally dried so I can continue on it.

So I am so happy with how these cracks turned  out. It's always like a chance, you don't really know how they will turn out but I loved this!  These are perfect. It's a very tiny painting.

For me this is super tiny, I like to paint really  big. I have actually ordered linen now for a really big canvas, like two meters point one  and a half meter or something like that.

I'm excited for that. So this, I don't exactly  know the size of this one but it's very tiny for being me and I just feel  like I want to try it out a little bit.

I'm just painting over with a layer of gesso  before I will use color on this texture.
