3
I know y'all been waiting for this one because I received a lot of requests for this video to come out.
4
And I know it's been 6 months since I posted the first one.
5
But life got in the way and I gotta go do what I gotta do.
6
But I'm here now and I'm here to deliver.
7
I ain't gonna lie man, I was about to make a long ass video and be really professional with the shit.
8
But right now I don't have the time for that because I got a show to do in like an hour.
9
So I'm just gonna make this one short, cut to the chase and talk to you guys on how to work on your listening skill.
10
When you're trying to communicate with someone, obviously you have to listen to understand and comprehend what the other person is saying.
11
And then you process the information to come up with an appropriate response, right?
12
That's listening skill.
13
So how do you work on that?
14
Basically what I did when I first started was I listened to a lot of music.
15
Not any type of music but hip hop music to be exact.
16
Any type of music is cool as long as you enjoy it.
17
The enjoyment factor is going to help you through your learning process.
18
But hip hop music to me is like a form of communication between the artist and the audience.
19
There's a lot of information being given and being received.
20
So I need you to go do the same thing.
21
Just listen to a lot of hip hop.
22
Is that easy enough?
23
Remember to look up the lyrics so you can read while you're listening.
24
That way it's gonna help you work on your vocabulary more.
25
One more thing man, you should listen to artists that can articulate really well.
26
Because don't get me wrong man, I love new school in hip hop.
27
But some of these motherfuckers, they just mumble through the whole song.
28
There's not a lot of information being given throughout the song.
29
So what's the point, right?
30
I'm gonna put a list of rappers, like dope rappers.
31
That I think you guys should go check out in the description below.
32
So make sure you go do that.
33
And that's basically it for this episode man.
34
because I gotta go get ready to do this show.
35
But I'm gonna work on episode 3 right after I get back from getting this money.
36
So I guess sorry for the wait.
37
And thank you guys so much for the support throughout the years.
38
Episode 3 coming real soon.
39

Step-by-step Shadowing Guide

To effectively utilize the shadowing technique while following Tony TK’s guidance, follow these steps to improve your English pronunciation and comprehension:

  1. Choose Your Music: Start by selecting hip hop tracks from artists known for their clear articulation. Look for lyrics that resonate with you, as enjoyment will enhance your learning experience.
  2. Listen and Read: Before diving into the shadowing process, listen to the song while reading the lyrics. This combination helps you link spoken words with their written forms, reinforcing vocabulary.
  3. Practice Shadowspeak: Play the track again and try to repeat what the artist says immediately after hearing it. Use the shadowspeech technique where you mimic their rhythm and pronunciation, enabling you to internalize the sounds and patterns of English.
  4. Focus on Articulation: Pay attention to how the artist articulates their words, especially those with distinct pronunciations. This will assist you in refining your own pronunciation.
  5. Reflect and Record: After practicing, record yourself while shadowspeaking. Listening to your recording allows you to identify areas for improvement in your pronunciation and fluency.

By integrating the shadowspeak method with musical enjoyment, you create a powerful learning tool. This immersive experience not only improves your English pronunciation but also enhances your ability to respond fluidly in conversations. Keep practicing and have fun with your English learning journey!
