1
you're not using the right attacking settings with your strikers you might be wasting their potential
2
so i am going to show you the best attacking settings
3
to use for each striker role in football manager for instance poachers we know
4
that poachers are rubbish however if you simply include
5
the setting whipped crosses on pasta feet you'd be scoring 20
6
plus more goals a season using a poacher in your formation than you would otherwise
7
when it's just a balanced setting
8
so how i've got this data is through my test league
9
how it all works will be in the description below as usual
10
however what i've done is i've tested each individual setting
11
and compared whether it scores me more
12
or less goals than just having a totally balanced attacking settings
13
so you can see in this photograph here how the balance setting is zero and anything that does better than zero
14
benefits the poacher gives me higher scores.
15
Similarly, if something's worse than the balance setting,
16
it gives me a negative score.
17
And because, as I've shown in previous videos,
18
poachers are so pants, there are actually a number of attacking settings
19
that directly improve how a poacher performs in your team
20
so these all fit around a sort of slow build-up
21
so your shorter
22
and lower shorter passing with lower tempo passing to feet working
23
the ball into the box all give you a net positive goals for your poacher
24
and just one point to note all of the strikers in all of these tests have exactly the same stats
25
so all we're looking at is the synergy between the role
26
that the striker has and the instructions that our tactic is giving us
27
and some of these synergies work out to score way more
28
goals as you can see here with your whipped crosses
29
and your pasta feet super right next one now as i
30
mentioned not all roles benefit from specific instructions for instance the
31
already quite powerful false nine it's essentially just whip crosses low crosses work a little bit
32
and passing to feet kind of works
33
but it's it's just a couple of goals here
34
and there the others have had no beneficial effect on our
35
forward similarly the channel forward again already a very powerful role just crossing picking a crossing option
36
that is not balanced appears beneficial.
37
Whip crosses as I've mentioned in previous attacking settings videos is overpowered
38
but the channel forward quite difficult to improve just on settings
39
alone however the target forward again very strong as i've shown
40
in previous videos as a single striker up top target forward really benefits strangely from not hitting early crosses
41
and from whipping the ball
42
and from working the ball into the box not whipping the
43
ball working the ball into the box again whip cross is
44
always strong there similarly passing to feet you can see there's
45
a bit of a theme with the the less running in
46
behind style forwards your false nines your target forwards you your
47
purchase to some extent as well like in passing to feet
48
and your deep lying forward again passing to feet very beneficial for a deep blank code
49
which makes sense right your deep line 40 is going to post up
50
he's going to want those passes into feet to to then help him develop the play not
51
so much however yes center forward who is going to like
52
a higher tempo of play this is scoring him an extra
53
10 goals a season almost here definitely works with more of a synergy
54
if you're looking to play a more direct style of play is to put some center forward a center forward
55
or some center forwards in your team
56
and as you might have noticed throughout these graphs
57
and as i've shown in previous videos the whipped cross is
58
just optimal pick whip crosses on most of your tactics it'll score you more goals across all positions
59
but one thing notable by its absence in any of these is the passing into space
60
which in all of our tests bar the center forward
61
was detrimental to our overall goals scored again these players all have identical levels of pace to the opposition
62
that they're facing so i would imagine we might see something different
63
if we were to operate with faster players however with all your tactics word of warning
64
don't use passing to space unless you have a clear reason why you're going to do
65
that
66
because it might be the reason why you are not scoring
67
enough goals now we're also going to look at what attributes suit each striking role
68
so subscribe if you're not already subscribed if you want to find out about
69
that later and
70
if you want to see what are the best striker roles
71
for each specific tactic check out this video otherwise enjoy football manager guys and i'll catch you in a bit Thank you.

  • Practice pronunciation: Pay attention to how certain football terms are pronounced. Repeat them multiple times to enhance your English pronunciation.
  • Engage with the material: Take notes on the key vocabulary and phrases. This will help reinforce your learning. Consider using a shadowing app to track your progress and manage your practice sessions effectively.
  • Record yourself: After shadowing, record yourself speaking the phrases. Compare your pronunciation with the original speaker to identify areas for improvement.
