And suddenly, it's the first time on the track with fans filming, and we have no comms.

But fortunately, we choreographed it so much that we just wung it.

Wow.

You were amazing.

It was like, you got to go, right?

You got to go.

And still, you were also acting, do you have to say?

Yes.

Allegedly.

Take that, Lewis Hamilton.

Some call it acting.

I call beautiful acting.

Everyone is great.

Even like Will Buxton and all the Crofty and Martin Brundle, all the sportscasters who gave us that legitimacy.

Well, you were the best dressed on the set.

He's the best dressed on and off the set.

I mean, look at that green.

Look at that.

Everybody was sweating in their things, in their driving gear.

And it was me like, what is wearing Ruben tonight?

Climbed a mountain to get here, bro.

Formula One.

Back home we call that a participation trophy.

Honestly though, when I used to watch you go by, I was like, I think he's going quicker than me.

I'm not even lying.

When I used to watch you go by, I was thinking, I'm definitely quicker than you.

Wisely, they never let us on the track at the same time, really.

We were both so fast, and we drove up to 180 miles per hour, which is insane.

I know, the first question was, how fast did you go?

And it's really, that's not what's so awesome about these cars, because speed becomes relative.

And that's when you're in the straight line.

That's actually when you can catch your breath, take a little look around.

It's like the high-speed corners.

It's just shocking to take, and that you can brake, and it'll stop you.

What do you hear?

Really, it's that engine.

That's what I would always hear.

Yeah.

Engine is going.

You're not even watching your gears, really, because you start to get attuned to what gear you're in.

In the beginning, though, I definitely used to look at it.

Oh, yeah, in the beginning.

Yeah, I was like, okay, two.

And by the time you look up, you're already at the end of the road.

In the beginning, how many unintended off-road trips do you think you took?

I haven't counted, but I'm probably in the second hand, probably.

I was definitely doing some detours.

I want to give you the tips to know where you have to we would go, we would sit down, we'd have a map of the track, and go through what we were aiming for at each section.

So we know when we hit this point, we gotta get choreographed this moment.

And we choreograph with the cars and get the lines in at that point.

Well...

It's start.

The funniest thing about the whole process for me was, You could only see the eyes when you're driving.

So if I was normally saying it, I'd be like, hey, how far away is Sonny?

Right, nothing's happening.

So Joe would be like, you need to do more.

I'm like, do more?

What do you mean?

So then I was like, how far away is Sonny?

It's so true.

It was insane.

I mean, we're trying to be like subtle, right?

High acting.

Oh, yeah.

A blink?

Oh my gosh.

Oscar nomination, a blink.

Oh my god, he blinked.

Today, to be honest, I feel like a kid, seeing Brad at work.

Yeah, I don't think we could have done this film without Lewis Hamilton.

I think it was so smart of Joe.

The first thing he did when he had this idea, put actors and cars on real tracks and embed ourselves in the pinnacle of the sport, F1.

He knew he had to get someone to guide us, keep us honest, and his first call was to Lewis.
