And in order to preserve this traditional art from beyond the stage,

many free classes have been made available to the community.

And among the learners are children discovering a passion for the music at an early age.

For the past six years,

this Đơn Cát Tài Từ class has continued to welcome new students,

free of charge, with support from the city of Kần Thơ.

But keeping traditional music alive among such young children takes more than just funding.

It is sustained by the dedication of veteran artists,

and often by the quiet encouragement of parents.

This is a challenging art form,

both in technique and in attracting young learners in today's context.

What concerns me most is the need for parents to be truly involved.

In this class, parents are not just here to drop their children off.

They stay, share the learning process,

and support them along the way.

When they attend, I usually sit with them so they feel more confident.

Having me there encourages them to be bolder,

to imitate and sing along with what teacher Hung teaches.

I've been studying in Ms. Hung's class for about five years now.

I attend two sessions a week,

on Mondays and Fridays, and I also practice at home.

If I can, I hope to perform and sing on stage more often,
