Welcome to Shanghai Disneyland in 2026, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a decade of incredible innovation and storytelling.

This stunning park combines Disney magic with some of the most immersive and technologically advanced attractions anywhere in the world.

From thrilling adventures to breathtaking themed lands, in this guide we'll explore all the must-do rides and experiences you won't want to miss.

Hello there, I'm Mike and welcome to Theme Park 101.

That's right, today we'll be taking a look at all the rides, shows and attractions in Shanghai Disneyland, located in Shanghai, China.

Don't forget to stick around until the end of the video for a sneak peek of all the new attractions

that will be coming over the next few years, as well as a little look at the events that will be held throughout 2026.

You enter the park straight into the unique Mickey Avenue, the vibrant opening land where colourful shops,

character meet and greets and Disney charms set their tone for your day.

You can meet fan-favorite characters like Mickey and Minnie, Goofy and Pluto, and Chippendale, as well as the popular Duffy and Friends that can be found near the Whistle Stop Shop.

Don't forget to look out for the Shanghai Disneyland Band that performed throughout the day, and with the 10 year anniversary celebration just beginning this year,

you'll also find lots of other exciting entertainment in Mickey Avenue and the whole park, which you can find out more about in the events section a little later in the video.

This area is also home to the amazing Mickey Storybook Adventure,

a fantastic stage show that features Mickey and Goofy discovering a magical book which transports them into some classic Disney stories, including The Jungle Book and Aladdin.

Each section features a few characters and songs from the different movies, making it entertaining for guests of all ages.

Once you have made your way through Mickey Avenue, you'll come to the next area and the main hub of the park, Gardens of Imagination, featuring colourful gardens,

themed areas inspired by the Chinese zodiac, and stunning views of the enchanted storybook castle.

The first attraction that you'll come to is the Fantasia Carousel, that brings the classic movie to life on this unique merry-go-round where you can choose from a selection of Pegasus,

and I always recommend to ride at night so you can enjoy the amazing lit up scenery that surrounds this attraction.

Just in front of the castle is the amazing Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the classic aerial spinning attraction that will dazzle younger

and older guests alike as you fly around taking in the sights and sounds of the gardens of imagination.

Next up, we head inside Marvel Universe, a pavilion filled with all your favourite Avengers, where you can meet the likes of Spider-Man, Ant-Man and Captain America, plus many more.

And you can become Iron Man in a special interactive experience as you learn to control the suit

and shoot at the Hulk and various enemies.

Gardens of Imagination has lots to explore

and gives plenty of space to watch the amazing parades and night time entertainment with lots of different viewing areas.

First up is the all new castle show, The Heart of Magic, where you'll join Mickey

and friends as they go on a magical journey through classic Disney stories with incredible sets, music and lots of your favourite characters,

resulting in an amazing anniversary celebration.

Next up is Mickey's Storybook Express, the fantastic daytime parade with the longest route ever seen at a Disney park, beginning in Toy Story Land through Tomorrowland,

before ending here in the Gardens of Imagination.

Floats include Tangled, Finding Nemo and Mulan, as well as a brand new Zootopia themed float and Duffy and Friends pre-parade to help celebrate the park's 10th anniversary.

Make sure not to miss out on this amazing entertainment offering.

In the evenings, you can also enjoy Illuminate, a nighttime celebration, a show that utilizes projection mapping,

flames, fountains, lasers, and lighting to give you a fully immersive experience and features lots of different Disney,

Pixar and Marvel films throughout the spectacular performance.

And straight after, you can enjoy Magic Together, a special 10th birthday celebration where Mickey and friends join in the special anniversary jubilation with incredible fountains,

fireworks and lots of other special effects, as well as an all new theme song, making it the perfect way to end your day at the amazing Shanghai Disneyland.

Heading clockwise around the park, we next come to Tomorrowland, a sleek, futuristic area powered by innovation and imagination,

featuring high speed attractions and cutting edge experiences.

First up is Jetpacks, a fun spinning ride where you climb aboard a flying vessel

and spin round and round while controlling the jetpack to go up and down.

Next is the popular Tron Light Cycle Power Run,

the steel roller coaster based on the sci-fi film Tron Legacy that includes a cool sleek design and motorcycle-style ride cars.

Join the grid as you take a high-speed launch straight outside

before heading back into a battle with other riders on this exciting attraction.

Even though there are no inversions, this is still the most exciting ride in the park and is a must for any thrill seeker.

In the lower section of Tomorrowland, you can find Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue, the fun shooting dark ride where you fight alongside Buzz to defeat the evil Emperor Zurg.

This This is a great attraction

that is perfect for you to compete against your friends and family to see who can get the highest score.

Next door is Stitch Encounter, an interactive show that allows younger guests to communicate with Stitch via a live satellite link-up,

as you'll need to assist him through a variety of adventures.

Due to the nature of this technology, it makes each viewing a totally unique experience, and even though the show is only in Mandarin, it is still enjoyable to watch.

In Tomorrowland, you'll also be able to find the E stage that is home to a few different offerings throughout the day.

Guests will be able to meet Baymax from Big Hero 6 at various times, as well as a chance to team up with the Avengers to fight Arnim Zola in Avengers Training Initiative.

And at night time, the stage transforms into an incredible futuristic experience,

Club Destiny, where androids, a cybernetic DJ and anime pop star electrify the night with a fun energetic party.

And throughout the day, you may spot a talking trash can or some cute BDX droids, as well as various Pixar characters.

The next area in the park is Toy Story Land, a colorful backyard world where you shrink down to the size of toys

and experience playful rides inspired by their beloved Pixar films.

First is Rex's Racer, a thrilling shuttle roller coaster where you'll race back and forth along a towering track, making it perfect for all the family.

Next is Slinky Dog Spin, a playful spinning ride where you climb aboard Slinky Dog for a fun journey over gentle twists and turns, which is great for the little ones.

And finally, Woody's Roundup, a spinning flat ride that whips guests around to a pumping soundtrack.

You can also enjoy the fun show Toy Soldiers Bucket of Fun, where you can train to be a soldier and take part in the military drills, and may even encounter some special guests.

Other characters can be found at the nearby meet and greet location.

We now move on to the magical fantasy land, the heart of the park, surrounding the enchanted Storybook Castle, where classic Disney stories come to life through immersive attractions,

magical experiences and iconic adventures.

We begin with Peter Pan's Flight, a classic dark ride that has been enhanced with updated effects,

taking guests on a magical journey from London to Neverland on your very own flying ship.

Next, you can take a nice boat ride on Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, a gentle journey that floats on a relaxing river as it takes you beneath the castle,

featuring scenes inspired by classic Disney stories.

We now head over to the Enchanted Storybook Castle, the largest castle in any Disney park, bringing together multiple Disney princesses' stories in one unique design.

Here is where you can meet some of your favorite princesses at the Disney Royalty Meet & Greet location, or why not head to Once Upon a Time Adventure,

a walkthrough experience that uses projections and interactive elements to tell the story of Snow White.

Right next to the castle is the Alice in Wonderland maze, a walkthrough hedge labyrinth inspired by the classic story, featuring familiar characters, themed pathways,

and some great photo opportunities along the way.

Opposite is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, the steel-based family co-star where you'll head through a diamond mine with all the dwarves,

and watch out for the appearance of the witch arriving to give Snow White the poisoned apple.

This is a great little co-star filled with classic storyline elements, making it ideal for all the family to enjoy.

Next is The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, a charming dark ride that brings the world of Pooh and his friends to life, making it a great option for younger guests.

Nearby is Honey Pot Spin, a classic spinning teacup-style ride where you can control how fast you spin while enjoying the themed surroundings.

You'll also find opportunities throughout the day to meet Pooh and his friends in the nearby meet and greet area.

Opposite is some unique entertainment, including the Fantasy Festival that features live music, dancing and some popular Disney characters,

and then Fantasy Storytelling retells classic Disney stories with songs, puppetry and live performers.

The final attraction in Fantasyland is Frozen, a sing-along celebration, a popular live show where you can enjoy scenes and songs from the beloved Disney film.

Although the performance is in Mandarin, it's still a fun experience for the whole family.

Located behind Fantasyland is the newest area in the park, Zootopia, a fully immersive city inspired by the popular film where guests can explore detailed districts,

meet beloved characters and experience life in this bustling animal metropolis.

The flagship attraction here is Zootopia Hot Pursuit, a trackless dark ride that takes guests on a fast-paced adventure through the various biomes alongside Nick and Judy.

With impressive effects and immersive environments, this is one of the standout attractions in the park.

At various times throughout the day, you can catch Disney's Utopia Comes Alive, a fun outdoor puppet show featuring residents of the city,

including appearances from newer characters like Gary Dusnake.

You'll also have the chance to meet Nick

and Judy at their dedicated meet and greet area

and throughout the land you'll find plenty of hidden details and small updates inspired by Zootopia 2, making it a great area to explore.

We now move on to another land unique to Shanghai, Treasure Cove, a richly themed pirate land inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean,

where guests can explore a bustling harbour filled with swashbuckling adventures and one of Disney's most advanced attractions.

This is of course Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure, an incredible boat ride that takes you on an immersive adventure through the world of pirates.

With stunning effects and large-scale scenes, this is widely considered one of the best attractions Disney has ever created.

In the warmer months, you can also visit Shipwreck Shore, a large water play area with interactive features, making it the perfect place to cool off during the hot weather.

Treasure Cove is also home to Eye of the Storm Captain Jack's Stunt Spectacular, an action-packed show featuring impressive effects, live stunts, and an appearance from the elusive Captain.

Next up, you can explore Siren's Revenge, a walkthrough pirate ship filled with interactive elements making it a fun experience for younger guests.

You can meet Captain Jack Sparrow at his nearby meeting reet location, along with various smaller entertainment offerings where you can interact with pirates throughout the land.

Finally, on the other side of the lake, you can also take a leisurely paddle on the Explorer Canoes,

offering a unique perspective for the park as we make our way towards the final land in this guide, Adventure Isle, a mysterious and untamed jungle where ancient legends,

We begin with the Roaring Rapids, a fast-paced river rath ride that sends you through rushing waters, sharp turns, plenty of splash-filled moments,

Next up is Soaring Over the Horizon, the popular flying simulator ride, where you head on a journey that showcases awesome world landmarks, including the Great Wall of China,

This is a great ride for all the family and one of the most popular attractions in the park, which is why they are currently expanding by adding an extra theatre,

The final offering in Adventure Isle is Camp Discovery Challenge Trails, an interactive rope course that lets you explore the terrain of Roaring Mountain,

with different routes offering varying levels of difficulty.

Within this same area, you'll also find some walking trails and a small play area, making it a great spot for younger guests to explore.

Throughout Adventure Isle, you'll also find plenty of opportunities to meet a variety of characters, including Lena Bell, Chippendale and characters from UP.

So that wraps up all the current rides, shows and attractions in Shanghai Disneyland.

But that's not all.

The park is hosting various events throughout the year, beginning with their 10th birthday celebration that began on March 20th,

2026 and will run until April 2027.

Along with the previously mentioned New Castle show, New Nighttime Spectacular, and the Zootopia and Duffy floats added to the daytime parade,

you'll also find lots of other smaller entertainment offerings, plenty of decorations, as well as limited edition merchandise and food items that can be found throughout the park.

Along with this incredible 10th anniversary party, you'll still be able to enjoy the special Halloween

and Christmas events at the end of the year that both include unique parades, nighttime shows, character meet and greets, and plenty of special food and merch offerings,

making them a perfect chance to elevate any visit.

It's now time to take a look at the future of Shanghai Disneyland, beginning with a brand new Marvel-based land

that will include a high-speed roller coaster where you'll need to team up with Spider-Man on a thrilling new adventure.

The land will also include new shopping and dining locations, along with Marvel character meet and greets and additional entertainment.

It'll be located next to Zootopia, with construction already underway, but with no official opening date,

we estimate that this new attraction and land to open in late 2027 or 2028.

Elsewhere on the resort, a new nine-story Art Nouveau-inspired hotel is currently under construction

and will offer another deluxe way to stay on resort, along with a fun Toy Story hotel and classic Disneyland hotel.

No official name or opening date has been announced as of yet, but as it nears completion, we are expecting it to open later in the year.

The park have already announced a new fourth hotel coming to the resort

that will be located just steps away from Shanghai Disneyland's entrance, allowing guests to stay even closer to the magic.

This construction will also include an expansion to the resort's entertainment district, Disney Town, with all new shopping and dining locations.

Again, timeframes are unknown about this new hotel, but will most likely be later in the decade, in 2028 or 2029.

There have also been rumors of a possible second park being added to the resort
