32
It's a picture I took of you the first time I ever came here.

Ah, look at you, so young and happy.
1:26.84 1:29.80 (3.0s)

Dad, why do I have to go to school?

So you can get a job.

But why do I need money?
1:39.56 1:40.42 (0.9s)
41
To buy the stuff the TV makes us want.
1:40.50 1:42.60 (2.1s)
42
But why do I need to buy stuff?
1:42.64 1:43.82 (1.2s)
43
Because if you didn't buy stuff, everyone would be out of a job and no one would have any money.
1:43.94 1:48.26 (4.3s)
44
Wait, so I have to work for the rest of my life to pay for stuff that I don't want just so everyone else can suffer the same horrible fate as me?
1:48.38 1:53.50 (5.1s)
45
Ah, exactly.
1:53.00 1:55.12 (2.1s)
46
You just live your life without thinking, don't you?
1:56.80 1:58.48 (1.7s)
47
I believe you are underestimating me, son.
1:58.56 2:01.04 (2.5s)
48
Come on, surely there's more to life than that.
2:01.42 2:03.56 (2.1s)
49
Nope.
2:05.06 2:05.52 (0.5s)
50
I'm out of here!

51
Enjoy your pathetic lives working nine to five!
2:08.24 2:10.66 (2.4s)
52
Pector, send me to freedom!
2:10.84 2:12.42 (1.6s)
53
Let me tell you, goofball.
2:16.08 2:17.66 (1.6s)
54
This is not how I imagined adult life.
2:18.52 2:20.96 (2.4s)
55
Well, what do you mean?
2:24.83 2:25.63 (0.8s)
56
Well, apart from spending most of it plagued with terrifying anxiety, soul-crushing depression, crippling loneliness, and terrible debilitating neck pain, it's also just incredibly boring.
2:26.75 2:40.45 (13.7s)
57
I mean, here we are, a couple of young people.
2:40.97 2:43.15 (2.2s)
58
It's Saturday night, and we're just lying on the couch watching TV in the dark.
2:42.71 2:47.07 (4.4s)
59
We're young people?
2:47.27 2:48.15 (0.9s)
60
Well, we're kinda young.
2:48.65 2:50.61 (2.0s)
61
And we're kinda people.
2:50.61 2:52.57 (2.0s)
62
I don't get it.
2:52.65 2:53.39 (0.7s)
63
You came in here, you turned the movie on, you turned the lights off, you sat down and you started watching it, and now you're complaining about it?
2:53.39 3:00.17 (6.8s)
64
Because I wish I was doing something else.
2:59.73 3:02.49 (2.8s)
65
Like what?
3:02.43 3:03.19 (0.8s)
66
Oh, you know the kind of things that young people do, Goofball.
3:02.69 3:06.67 (4.0s)
67
They go to concerts, or they go on road trips, or to music festivals, or go camping, or play guitar as they sit around a bonfire on the beach at night, making memories, falling in love.
3:06.15 3:20.27 (14.1s)
68
And I never got to do any of that stuff.
3:21.91 3:23.37 (1.5s)
69
You only get to be young once.
3:24.23 3:25.71 (1.5s)
70
Turn it off!
3:27.17 3:28.03 (0.9s)
71
How long were we in there?
3:28.45 3:30.43 (2.0s)
72
Hours!
3:30.81 3:31.25 (0.4s)
73
You were in there for hours!
3:31.25 3:33.15 (1.9s)
74
Now we're never going to make it to the dealership in time!
3:33.33 3:36.25 (2.9s)
75
It closes in 30 minutes!
3:36.19 3:38.01 (1.8s)
76
We're sorry.
3:38.37 3:38.93 (0.6s)
77
We didn't know it was daytime.
3:38.93 3:40.57 (1.6s)
78
There aren't any windows in the arcade.
3:39.81 3:41.77 (2.0s)
79
Excuses, excuses.
3:42.11 3:44.15 (2.0s)
80
How am I supposed to trust you when all you give me are excuses?
3:44.15 3:48.57 (4.4s)
81
What are you two going to learn that your actions have consequences?
3:48.79 3:52.43 (3.6s)
82
Consequences that affect other people like me.
3:52.59 3:56.29 (3.7s)
83
Don't you two understand?
3:56.87 3:58.01 (1.1s)
84
I'm about to lose my job.
3:58.01 4:00.93 (2.9s)
85
You may not care about keeping your jobs, but I care about keeping mine.
4:01.51 4:05.55 (4.0s)
86
Because if I lose my job, I have nothing.
4:06.07 4:09.11 (3.0s)
87
Do you hear me?
4:09.11 4:10.39 (1.3s)
88
Miles, the hardest thing about this job is you can't always save everybody.
4:10.83 4:17.23 (6.4s)
89
It gets easier.
4:20.47 4:21.43 (1.0s)
90
Huh?
4:21.93 4:22.13 (0.2s)
91

4:22.99 4:24.79 (1.8s)
92
Yeah?
4:25.83 4:25.99 (0.2s)
93
But you gotta do it every day.
4:26.37 4:27.93 (1.6s)
94
That's the hard part.
4:27.93 4:29.39 (1.5s)
95

When Cartoon Hit U Hard in Lifeを使って、シャドーイングで英語を練習しましょう。

Off
