I got a haul of some of the most controversial and affordable ice fishing gear on the market.

Everything we use today comes from the app Timu.

Timu has literally everything you can think of from everyday life to fishing and more.

All at insanely affordable prices.

But the real question is, can Timu's ice fishing gear actually hold up to real standards out on the ice?

Today we're putting that to the test.

To do this, Aaron and I put together a $250 Timu only ice fishing haul.

And we're doing a challenge using nothing but Timu gear.

Here's how it's going to work.

Whoever catches the first fish gets a point.

Whoever catches the most fish gets another point.

And whoever catches the biggest fish of the day gets the final point.

Whoever ends the day with two points wins.

But here's the twist.

We won't be using the same gear.

We separated the gear into two different boxes.

And once you pick a box, you can only use the gear that's inside it.

Now let's get these boxes open and start the challenge.

Okay, Aaron, here are our two Timu Hall boxes separated together.

Perfect for this cold weather ice fishing.

So I'm going to replace my hat right now and put it on.

So now we're into the lure part of our challenge.

And I'm going to try to catch a fish on every lure we get here.

We got some big old ice jigs.

And hopefully we get a smaller lure.

Because these are pretty big for ice fishing but these could catch us a big bass too.

Ooh, we got this high shark spinning reel it shows.

Let's open this up and see how it looks.

Yo, that is surprisingly smooth, but the colorway, the gray, the black, the orange, this is probably my new favorite ice fishing reel for sure now.

I don't think we're gonna use this much in our challenge.
