1
Here, pick us a wine.
2
Let's see what kind of taste you have.
3
You're letting him pick the wine?
4
What does he know about wine?
5
This is probably your first time eating at a place like this, isn't it?
6
The menu's all in French, the wines are expensive.
7
Let me order.
8
I don't want you to faint from the prices.
9
Waiter!
10
Get me a bottle of your most expensive, my usual, Yamazaki 55.
11
You haven't even graduated yet.
12
You're already working as a waiter to put yourself through.
13
Your family must be struggling, huh?
14
My family's doing fine.
15
I'm an adult now.
16
I can take care of myself, and I don't want to live off my parents.
17
I admire your independence.
18
I don't want to discourage a young person, but without a good family background, it's very hard for her to achieve anything.
19
I've already arranged Catherine to take over the family company as soon as she graduates.
20
Dad!
21
Graduation is still ages away!
22
So young man, who's in your family and what do they do for you?
23
My family runs a small business.
24
It's my grandfather, my three older sisters and me.
25
Three sisters?
26
No wonder they're counting on you to work as a waiter to make money.
27
A small business can't bring in much money, right?
28
Not much inheritance to split I imagine.
29
Oh my bad, I forgot you have three older sisters.
30
Guess there won't be any inheritance left for you anyway.
31
My sisters have always treated me well, so stop making assumptions about my family.
32
Dad!
33
Can't you just eat without constantly going after Elliot?
34
It's okay, Kathy.
35
What the hell do you think you're doing?
36
I'm sorry.
37
Mr. Sinclair, are you alright?
38
Elliot, what the hell was that?
39
You shoved him and now you're trying to blame me?
40
I have dinner with the Harrington family tonight.
41
Mrs. Victoria Harrington is a stickler for mirrors and appearances.
42
How am I supposed to show up with my suit like this?
43
What are you doing?
44
There you go.
45
It suits you.
46
Dad, see?
47
Elliot notices things and actually knows how to fix them.
48
He's incredible.
49
I'm going to the restroom.
50
Mr. Sinclair, let me come with you.
51
I left my phone in the restroom.
52
Go get it for me.
53
Sure.
54
Didn't he forget his phone?
55
Why did they just leave?
56
Mr. Sinclair I couldn't find your phone
57
A man like me has many ways of handling things.
58
I don't need your cheap trashy tie.
59
Face reality, Hick.
60
You and us?
61
We're not even from the same world.
62
Cathy, when you choose a husband, you need to keep your eyes opened.
63
Don't forget what you've always been working toward.
64
Real class is quiet.
65
It doesn't need a stage.
66
And it doesn't come from looking down on people.
67
Mr. Singlaire, thank you for your hospitality.
68
I'll come visit you another day.
69
Oh, one more thing, sir.
70
The most expensive liquor at the Crown Hotel isn't Yamazaki 55.
71
It's the Macallan 1926.
72
Catherine Sinclair, get in this car right now!
73
Harriet, I'm sorry.
74
I don't know what got into my dad and Jason today.
75
It's okay.
76
As long as you're by my side, I won't be afraid of any difficulty.
77
I'll always be right by your side.
78
Dad, Catherine's fallen hard for him.
79
What do we do now?
80
Leave it to me.
81
My time is valuable, so let's cut to the chase.
82
You're not a social match for my daughter.
83
I want you to leave Catherine and stop Pathering her.
84
Mr. Sinclair, you called me here specifically to say this.
85
Does Kathy know?
86
Catherine's opinion means nothing.
87
She's too young to understand the burden of the Sinclair name.
88
We're old money in California.
89
A man like you isn't even qualified to marry into this family.
90
I remember Victoria mentioning this.
91
The Sinclairs as a clips group looks impressive from the outside, but it's already on the verge of bankruptcy.
92
They're not old money.
93
They're barely holding on.
94
I've already promised Catherine to Damien Ryder.
95
He comes from a family as powerful as ours.
96
In background, education, and looks, You're not even in the same league.
97
Here's one million dollars.
98
Young man, I advise you not to get any delusions.
99
Take the money and leave Catherine.
100
Now.
101
Otherwise, I will ruin you.
102
What?
103
Greedy for more?
104
Fine.
105
Let's make it three million then.
106
Young man, one shouldn't be too greedy.
107
Do you particularly enjoy using money to crush people?
108
Someone like you should be grateful that anyone is even willing to throw money at you.
109
So in your heart, your own daughter is only worth $3 million? dollars.
110
But to me, his happiness is more precious than any bargaining chip.
111
I will never leave Kathy.
112
Young love means nothing without status.
113
Your family doesn't measure up to the synchroids.
114
That's the real problem.
115
And do you actually know who my family is?
116
There's no need for that.
117
Katherine is about to go to Germany to study.
118
If she really loved you, would she abandon you and leave?
119
Catherine, you're going to Germany?
120
You know, I was afraid you'd be against it, so I kept putting off telling you.
121
To really make something of yourself in biopharmacotics, you have to study in Germany.
122
I want everyone to have access to cheaper, more effective medicine.
123
Grandpa and my sisters never thought much of Catherine.
124
Good thing she has ambition.
125
When she comes back, I'll propose to her.
126
We'll get married soon as I graduate.
127
I will marry anyone but you.
128
Once you finish your studies and come home, you'll take over the family business.
129
Then you'll marry someone from our world.
130
Kathy!
131
Katherine, time to board.
132
Hurry up.
133
Elliot, promise me you'll wait for me to come back.
134
She's gone.
135
She'll be gone for five years.
136
Stop dreaming.
137
I'll wait for her to come back.
138
A waiter wanting to climb the social ladder into a wealthy family?
139
Dream on.
140
I'm...
141
I'm...
142
I'm...
143
I'm...
144
Steven!
145
Steven!
146
Steven!
147
Steven!
148
Steven!
149
Steven!
150
Over here!
151
Steven, what are the odds?
152
Eli, were you seriously about to run from your own sister?
153
Eli, what's your plan going forward?
154
Do you need any help?
155
If you ever feel like taking over the company, just tell me.
156
There's always a spot for you at my lab, too.
157
Or come to Hollywood.
158
I'll make you a star.
159
I'm gonna pave the way for Catherine.
160
When she comes back, I'll hand the company over to her.
161
No need.
162
I've started a new company.
163
I can handle it on my own.
164
I have class soon, so I've got to go.
165
Hey, let me have the driver take you...
166
I couldn't say it with Elliot in the room.
167
He has a girlfriend.
168
That's why he went to the airport today to say goodbye before she left the country.
169
What?
170
And here I thought Elliot went to the airport today to pick me up.
171
And Damien Ryder went abroad with her.
172
The Ryder heir.
173
Their family is in healthcare and they're clearly close to her family.
174
Grandpa, should I go warn her off?
175
Elliot is a child with his own mind.
176
And some things he has to go through on his own if he's going to grow.
177
That's all for today.
178
Thank you everyone.
179
Katherine, have you missed me?
180
Katherine!
181
I have to go now.
182
My advisor is calling me.
183
Chairman, here's the share transfer agreement for H&C Pharma.
184
Five years ago, I started H&C Pharma behind Catherine's back.
185
Now that she's become Chief Research Fellow, it's time to give H&C to her.
186
Tonight, I'll have Grandpa and my sisters be our witnesses.
187
With this, Grandpa and my sisters will surely accept it.
188
Everything is ready.
189
Tonight I'm going to propose to her.
190
What are you doing here?
191
I'm here to welcome Catherine home, obviously.
192
This is high society, not a place where some broke waiter like you belongs.
193
Five years, and you still won't give up?
194
Catherine now isn't the same Catherine from five years ago.
195
You're not still dreaming of becoming the Sinclair family's son-in-law, are you?
196
It's good that you came.
197
It'll give you a chance to see just how far the gap is between you and high society.
198
You're right.
199
There really is a gap between you and me.
200
Good evening, everyone.
201
Thank you for coming to my welcome back party.
202
Catherine.
203
We'll get married soon as I graduate.
204
I will marry anyone but you.
205
Mrs. Sinclair really has it all.
206
Beauty and brains.
207
I heard H&C Pharma reached out to her recently for a collaboration.
208
H&C Pharma?
209
You mean the one that came out of nowhere and became the industry leader almost overnight?
210
Catherine, everything I've done, I've done it all for you.
211
You hear that?
212
The gap between you and my sister is getting wider and wider.
213
Did you bother to ask who sent that invitation?
214
The chairman of H&C Pharma, obviously.
215
What, are you going to say it was you?
216
First, I have some exciting news.
217
The chairman of H&C Pharma has personally appointed me as the company's CEO.
218
He's also signing a long-term contract with the Sinclair Group worth tens of millions.
219
Tens of millions?
220
My God, I heard the chairman is young, handsome, and a total genius.
221
Wait, is he interested in Miss Sinclair?
222
The Sinclair family is about to soar to new heights.
223
Catherine starts at H&T Pharma tomorrow.
224
Next, and this is the most important part of today, I have some wonderful news to announce to everyone.
225
While I was studying abroad, there was someone who waited for me for five years.
226
quietly, faithfully.
227
Today, on such an important day, I want all of you to witness something for me.
228
Oh my God.
229
I was going to propose to her tonight.
230
I can't believe she got to it first.
231
When her grandpa and my sister's getting here, they have to be here for the biggest moment of my life.
232
I am going to propose to this man.
233
He is...
234
the heir of the Ryder family.
235
My love, Damien Ryder.
236
We'll get married soon as I graduate.
237
I will marry anyone but you.
238
What a handsome couple.
239
A perfect match.
240
See that?
241
You were never in her league.
242
Now do you know your place?
243
Catherine, what's wrong?
244
Nothing.
245
This is my love, Damien Ryder.
246
He's the man I will spend the rest of my life with.
247
Our wedding will be held in just a few days.
248
Catherine!
249
Elliot personally invited us to this banquet.
250
I don't care what any of you have going on.
251
Drop it.
252
Be there on time.
253
Come on, Grandpa.
254
He's the baby of the family.
255
We'd drop anything for him.
256
I canceled all my bookings half a month in advance.
257
Don't worry, Grandpa.
258
Nothing is more important than our little brother's business.
259
We'll be there right away.
260
Five years.
261
I waited five years.
262
You promised me that when you came back we'd get married.
263
So tell me, Catherine, what's this?
264
I'm sorry, Elliot.
265
I know I hurt you.
266
But you should have seen the truth a long time ago.
267
Seen what?
268
Your background, your status, your place in life.
269
None of it ever matched mine.
270
And now I've risen even higher.
271
You still think you deserve me?
272
Don't make me laugh.
273
Damien and I are getting married soon.
274
Please stop bothering us.
275
So what about our promise?
276
That was in the past.
277
People change.
278
Someone with nothing, like you, was never worthy of me!
279
Now only Damien can give me the happiness I want.
280
So that's how it is.
281
This kid is delusional.
282
He really thinks he can steal a woman from the Rider heir?
283
Exactly.
284
He should take a good look at who he is, as if Miss Sinclair would ever choose someone like him.
285
Hurts, doesn't it?
286
Getting tossed aside by the woman you love.
287
Take my advice and just give up.
288
So in your heart, money, power, and status are more important than true feelings?
289
True feelings?
290
I'm now the president of Eclipse Group.
291
I've also received him from HNC Pharma with orders worth tens of millions waiting for me.
292
You want to be with me now, isn't it just for my money?
293
Damien is the heir of the Ryder family.
294
Only a man like him is worthy of spending his life with me.
295
Are you saying I'm not good enough for you?
296
That's right.
297
You're not good enough for her.
298
I'm the one who's suitable.
299
Elliot, if you really love me, then you should understand me.
300
Support me.
301
Making a scene won't help either of us.
302
Please leave before this gets any uglier.
303
Catherine, do you have any idea what I've given up for you over these years?
304
I heard about it.
305
You started a company for me over these past five years.
306
I'm touched.
307
But unfortunately, a little company like that is of no help to me at all.
308
Ha!
309
So this is your way of trying to marry into the Sinclair family?
310
A share transfer agreement for some little company like that is nothing but a joke to us!
311
You're right, it is a joke.
312
All these years, I was blind.
313
You, Catherine Sinclair, will never get these shares.
314
Catherine, you will regret what you've done today. Who is this guy?
315
How dare he talk to the CEO of Eclipse Group like that?
316
He doesn't look like he comes from money.
317
But honestly, Catherine did move on pretty fast.
318
All right, all right.
319
Today is Catherine's homecoming celebration.
320
Let's enjoy ourselves and ignore this lunaturk.
321
Don't be in such a hurry to leave.
322
Have a drink before you go.
323
Ow! That hurts!
324
How dare you hit my son!
325
Elliot, even if you're angry at me, you shouldn't hurt Damien.
326
I didn't even touch him.
327
And you say I hurt him?
328
Enough!
329
I don't care about whatever relationship you have, and I don't want to.
330
But now my son is being dragged into this.
331
I want you to deal with this bastard.
332
Now!
333
Elliot, take the hint and get the hell out.
334
Don't make a scene here.
335
You accused me of something I didn't do and now you tell me to get lost?
336
If anything happens to Damien, you'll regret it!
337
You dare hit me?
338
Enough!
339
Elliot, this is not the place to make a scene, and this was your fault from the beginning.
340
My fault?
341
This is the first time Elliot has invited us to a meal.
342
So tonight, we're eating well and having a good time.
343
You got it, Grandpa.
344
You're a filthy little rat, and everyone here wants you gone.
345
How do you still have the nerve to stay?
346
You will all pay for what you've done today.
347
People like you will do anything to crawl into our world.
348
You deserve every bit of this.
349
Now get the hell out.
350
Get out!
351
Get out!
352
Get out!
353
Get out!
354
Get out!
355
Stop it right now!
356
That's.. that's my goddess Vivian Harrington!
357
Is that Dr. Alexander Harrington?
358
The top research professor?
359
That old man.
360
He's the richest man in America.
361
George Harrington!
362
No. Who the hell thinks they can bully my brother?
363
I'd like to see who has the nerve to touch my grandson.
364
What are the Harringtons doing here? Who?
365
Who is his grandson?
366
Who did this to you?
367
Sis.
368
I'm sorry.
369
We came too late.
370
Who did this to you?
371
Point them out.
372
Your sisters will take care of the rest.
373
Who is he for Vivian Harrington to treat him so well?
374
And Alexandra and Victoria are also so good to him.
375
What exactly is their relationship?
376
Wait a minute.
377
George Harrington, just his grandson?
378
Could it be that George Harrington's grandson is...
379
Could it be?
380
Elliot really is.
381
No way!
382
If he were the George Harrington's grandson, why would he be waiting tables to earn tuition?
383
That's right.
384
He probably just knows some people in the Harrington family.
385
Ellie, did they bully you?
386
I'll go deal with them.
387
I'm going to.
388
Touch my grandson.
389
I'll make every single one of you pay.
390
Let it go, Grandpa.
391
They bullied you like that?
392
And you still want to protect them?
393
I have my own plans. But...
394
I know you mean well, but I'll handle this my way.
395
I'm going to send them all to prison.
396
Every last one of them.
397
I'll make them regret everything they did today.
398
That's my good grandson.
399
Fierce and responsible.
400
Grandpa supports you.
401
Thank you, Grandpa.
402
Ely, whatever you want to do, just do it.
403
We will always support you too.
404
The Harringtons are not to be pushed around.
405
Ely, go ahead and do what you need to do.
406
With the Harringtons backing you, Not a single one of those who bullied you will get away.
407
Let's go.
408
Sir, what brings you here?
409
Throw everyone inside out.
410
From now on, no hotel under Harrington Global will accept members of the Sinclair or Ryder families.
411
Yes, sir!
412
I told you he wasn't George Harrington's grandson.
413
He just ran off with his tail between his legs.
414
Exactly.
415
But how was he with the Harringtons?
416
Probably just a passing acquaintance, that's all.
417
He's just a clown begging for attention.
418
We should have kicked him out ages ago.
419
Thank God Elliot didn't push this any further.
420
Damien, you okay?
421
I'm fine.
422
Nothing too serious.
423
I'm sorry, the hotel is closing.
424
Please leave everyone.
425
Closing?
426
On what grounds?
427
Exactly!
428
We've already paid!
429
You can't just decide to close whenever you feel like it!
430
The money and penalty fees will be credited to your accounts.
431
Get them out.
432
Who the hell do you think you are daring to kick us out?
433
Hey, hey!
434
You just wait!
435
What kind of business are you running here?
436
Who the hell do you think you are?
437
What are you all doing in my room?
438
We're afraid you'll get bullied, so we've decided to go to work with you from now on.
439
It's because we weren't by your side every moment you got hurt.
440
It's not your fault.
441
I work at my own company.
442
It's my own turf.
443
How could anyone bully me there?
444
Little brother, just do as we say.
445
I'm the CEO of H&C.
446
If my staff sees my three sisters escorting me to work every day, I'd look like some baby who hasn't been weaned yet.
447
And then they'll call you my personal ATMs.
448
That's humiliating.
449
Then, then we'll take turns coming to work at your company.
450
Oh my god, ladies, please don't make more trouble for me.
451
Vivian, especially you, you're an international superstar.
452
If you show up at our company, will our employees get any work done at all?
453
Okay, how about this?
454
Today, I will...
455
No!
456
Alexander, stop messing around too.
457
I have an important contract to sign.
458
I'm leaving.
459
Morning, boss.
460
The Westfold team is already here.
461
Should we head up?
462
You go first.
463
Start discussing the partnership terms with them.
464
I need to stop by the front desk.
465
Understood.
466
But you haven't shown up here in a while.
467
A lot of employees may not know who you are.
468
It's fine.
469
Handle what you need to.
470
I'll meet you after.
471
So this is H&C Pharma.
472
This is the most top-level biomagical company in the country.
473
And I'm about to become its CEO.
474
H&C arranged an official welcome ceremony for you.
475
It's going to be a big deal.
476
Make sure you present yourself well and show the employees what kind of leader you are.
477
Hey, you there.
478
Stop.
479
Elliot?
480
What are you doing here?
481
You really are a haunting presence.
482
Elliot, you've got some nerve following us here.
483
I think you still have feelings for Cathy, don't you?
484
You really have no shame.
485
This is a public place, not your home.
486
Why can't I be here?
487
Why?
488
Because Cathy is about to become the CEO of H&C Pharma.
489
From now on, Cathy calls the shots at H&C Pharma.
490
What makes you so sure that she can become the CEO of H&C Pharma?
491
The chairman of H&C personally invited us.
492
Clearly, he sees real potential in Kathy.
493
I don't care whether you're pretending this is a coincidence or you actually work here.
494
Elliot, let me tell you something.
495
I, Kathy, am a phoenix tree.
496
Only a phoenix bearing golden branches deserves to perch on me. And you?
497
You're just an ant scurrying around beneath the tree.
498
Put a west any crooked thoughts you have, or I'll make you disappear completely from this city.
499
Enough.
500
Stop wasting your breath on him.
501
Don't delay your inauguration. And you are...
502
You are the CEO who will be joining our company, Catherine Sinclair?
503
I heard the chairman thinks highly of her.
504
I better get on her good side.
505
Wow, is that the new CEO?
506
I heard the chairman personally handpicked her.
507
I heard she was the chief research valuator at a German biotech lab.
508
Truly beautiful and talented.
509
From now on, she'll answer only to the chairman.
510
Everyone else in this company will be beneath her.
511
Ma'am, I'm the head of R&D Team 5.
512
If you need anything at all, just tell me!
513
Ma'am, ma'am, me too, me too!
514
I need to go!
515
Ma'am, I heard that the chairman personally handpicked you.
516
He must really like you, right?
517
Could you teach us so that we can also win the chairman's favor?
518
I don't even know what the chairman sees in me.
519
I haven't even met him. Because I'm exceptional.
520
Obviously. Of course!
521
That's our Miss Sinclair.
522
Her talent speaks for itself.
523
Has the chairman signed the appointment letter?
524
Are you that eager to become CEO?
525
Who do you think you are?
526
Did anyone ask you to speak?
527
I asked you to speak.
528
Elliot, are you ever gonna stop?
529
You actually followed me all the way here?
530
Elliot, this is HNC.
531
Not somewhere you can come in and make a scene.
532
Everything's already been approved.
533
The chairman personally backs Miss Sinclair.
534
Of course he's going to sign.
535
Who do you think you are, huh?
536
Coming in here and shooting your mouth off.
537
Does he even work at your company?
538
I don't know him.
539
I've been at this company for over half a year now.
540
I basically know all the employees.
541
This man, I've never seen him before.
542
Could he be a new hire who just started today?
543
Even a new hire dares to speak to Mrs. Sinklin like that.
544
I've been busy with other matters these past few years, so I haven't been at the company much.
545
It's normal that you don't recognize me.
546
I am Elliot, the chairman of H&C Pharma.
547
Elliot, is that really the best lie you could come up with?
548
Five years later and somehow you've sunk even lower.
549
You're even worse than I remember.
550
Don't let him fool you.
551
He's my daughter's ex.
552
He couldn't handle being dumped, so he followed her here to harass her and make a scene.
553
Elliot, why do you follow Kathy wherever she goes?
554
You really have no shame.
555
Listen here, punk.
556
Casey and I are already engaged.
557
Stop being so shameless and playing the homewrecker.
558
Who is the homewrecker?
559
You know it in your heart.
560
HNC Pharma was founded by me.
561
The invitations you received, I'm the one who gave them.
562
But now I regret it.
563
I'm taking back the appointment letter.
564
Catherine, you are not qualified to be the CEO of HNC Pava.
565
HNC Pava does not welcome you either.
566
Get out of here.
567
Are you insane or are you still stuck in some pathetic little daydream?
568
You say you're the chairman of H&C, but which employee here recognizes you?
569
No one knows who you are.
570
You?
571
You paid for your living expenses in college by waiting tables.
572
Do you have what it takes to build a company as good as H&C Pharma?
573
Catherine, stop wasting your breath on me.
574
Elliot, be smart and get out of here now.
575
Don't make me call security.
576
This is my territory.
577
You're the ones who should get lost.
578
I'll have someone throw you out right now.
579
Alright, stop pretending.
580
You say you're the chairman of our company, then how do you prove it?
581
Hey!
582
I have a photo of the chairman right here!
