1
Today, I'm recreating Poppy Playtime in LEGO and uncovering its darkest secrets as we upgrade the prototype to its final form.
2
But to do this, we're gonna need to collect ingredients from the factory and the parts from these four characters.
3
So let's do this.
4
You see, the prototype wasn't always a toy.
5
At one point, he was just an orphan kid named Ollie.
6
That is, until his adopted father, Mr. Elliot Ludwig, who happens to be an evil toy scientist,
7
turns him into an experiment in his deranged toy factory called Playtime Co.
8
Alright, looks like our orders are to turn Ollie into a jack-in-the-box.
9
So we need to create this toy with a working pop-out mechanism, and a way for the toy clown to pop open the lid.
10
Wow, that actually works really well.
11
So let's add in our clown and give it a test.
12
I think we have a success on our hands, Dr. Ludwig.
13
Oh no, wait!
14
It appears to be malfunctioning!
15
His face is completely mangled!
16
Maybe instead we should use this box for a different toy.
17
We just need to add in some teeth and a couple of eyes, and then we'll just connect these two sections together and we can call him Boxyboo.
18
But wait, I think he has a cavity?
19
Let's give him this tooth.
20
Now, Boxyboo is ready to jump out of his box to eat little children.
21
I mean, scared little children.
22
Ha ha ha.
23
As for our creepy clown, he's too cursed looking to be a toy.
24
So let's expand his job title by giving him some legs.
25
This works, but he's not very stable front and back.
26
So let's try four legs.
27
Another success.
28
Except for when he falls over sideways.
29
So how about we give him six legs?
30
Ah yes, we can give him these extra long arms too.
31
That way he can help out in his new role in the toy factory.
32
And this gave Mr. Ludwig another great idea.
33
Longer arms would definitely help employees reach things easier.
34
This here is an employee, and right now he looks naked.
35
But it's actually just their skin-tight yellow employee outfits, so let's give them some details so we don't get it confused.
36
And thus, the grab pack was invented.
37
But like any good science project, it wasn't without its flaws.
38
Although, this failure did lead to the creation of yet another toy.
39
Something with long, stretchy limbs that would also be able to grab things.
40
We need a toy that will appeal to little girls, so let's make it pink.
41
And for those long limbs, let's stretch her out with these pipe cleaners that are wrapped around a stud.
42
And for her arms, don't need those, we can thread in yet another limb all the way through and add some hands.
43
Then we just need a pretty little face and we'll call her Mommy Long Legs.
44
Mr. Ludwig got his best idea creating a toy that could hug you forever.
45
And I mean forever.
46
But to do this, we need to create a much, much larger toy that would be far larger than a person.
47
I mean, minifigure.
48
So let's initiate the Bigger Bodies Project.
49
A machine that takes a small toy and makes it much, much larger.
50
But what do all toys need?
51
A nice little face and some happy eyes.
52
And if there's anything I've learned from Build-A-Bear, it's that stuffing belongs on the inside.
53
But this isn't Build-A-Bear, and we're putting stuffing on the outside make him fuzzy of course.
54
Then we'll give him a quick little rinse and now we have our new favorite toy, the fuzzy huggy.
55
Hmm.
56
Was he fuzzy?
57
No?
58
Ah yes, huggy wuggy.
59
Things were going so well at Playtime Co
60
that Ludwig opened up the toy factory for tours and at the center of the tour stood huggy wuggy, nice and tall, and a brand new version of the lifelike doll Poppy.
61
The doll was so popular in fact
62
that they put a statue right here in the main hall for the children to take pictures with.
63
But later that day, there was an accident in the factory.
64
While moving some toxic waste, the prototype was knocked into by the crane and plummeted into the toxic vat.
65
Many of the workers thought they saw Poppy running out of the control room.
66
And sadly, for the prototype, the crane was broken and no one could save him.
67
But that didn't stop Playtime Co from making more toys.
68
And what do you do when you have a top-selling toy?
69
You make another one.
70
And thus, Kissy Missy, the girl counterpart to Huggy Wuggy, was born.
71
All this time passed, but curious as cats may be, he got a visitor.
72
Catnap was a new toy designed to help kids go to sleep by releasing a red gas that makes you sleepy.
73
Totally safe, but why is he down here?
74
Well, turns out he was giving kids nightmares, so he got recalled.
75
And now, he's taking parts from the prototype, like these sharp claws.
76
He helped the prototype out of the slime, and together they searched for new parts.
77
One day during a factory tour, a boy named Jack wandered a little too far off from the group and found himself falling into a vat of dough.
78
Our orders today are clear.
79
Let's turn this child into experiment 1322A.
80
We'll need to mold this small little body into a brand new toy we like to call Doey the Doughman.
81
And to do this, we'll need to round out his little belly and bake him in the oven.
82
Because, well, this is molding clay and we need it to harden.
83
And now we can paint on his simple little face print.
84
Oh, don't forget his hat.
85
Doey is one of the experiments that actually has parents.
86
And when they come to visit to see if he really lived after the tractor accident, he, uh, ate them.
87
Yeah, so I guess he had parents.
88
What did he say?
89
Catnap had been bringing the prototype salvage from Braun, the dinosaur.
90
Wait, he has sausages for eyebrows?
91
I think we need to throw these things on the grill and flame them up.
92
Ah, this looks much better.
93
His favorite pastime is munching on junk, which he can do with his mouth that really opens.
94
But all these pesky little toys kept munching on him.
95
And that could be because his fillings are cotton candy.
96
But that didn't stop Catnap from stealing his bones and bringing them to the prototype, who's starting to look quite menacing.
97
So let's take this Joker and put it through the bigger bodies machine, and make him scary large.
98
Now we have six crab legs with exposed wires, creepy long arms, and swords for claws.
99
But there's still a few improvements before he reaches his final form.
100
However, he's strong enough now to rally all of the toys
101
to take revenge on the employees for the experiments in an event known as the Hour of Joy.
102
Catnap claws, Boxy Boo jumps out, Huggy Wuggy whomps, and Kissy bites back.
103
With all the employees gone, Playtime Co is forced to shut down.
104
Which means now it's time to get revenge on Poppy.
105
Only this employee gets in the way.
106
This is the player.
107
And to get around the factory, he needs a grab pack, which can be built using this neck bracket, one of these thingies, and two macaroni pieces.
108
The prototype orders Huggy Wuggy to go after the player, but somehow he gets bested, as a crate takes out the bridge and he falls to his death.
109
So we thought.
110
Huggy comes back, but not without some damage.
111
So let's get him fixed up.
112
By cutting off his arm, bro is looking rough.
113
And he's not the only one.
114
Mommy Longlegs also gets beaten up by the player and ends up getting pulled into a shredder.
115
Even Kissy Missy tries to help the player and she loses her arm, but with each loss of limb along the way, the prototype was slowly picking up the pieces.
116
And also punishing the other toys.
117
Oh man, Kissy Missy is looking toasty enough to roast a marshmallow.
118
Now each of these limbs can be added to the prototype body, as he's mastered the ability to control even more arms and legs than before.
119
But there's something else he's after, and it requires a cat.
120
And it's that special red smoke emitter installed inside of Catnap, which he wants to install into himself to weaken his prey before he attacks.
121
Since the prototype can't find Poppy, he starts to create his own allies, first with the Doctor.
122
This is his brain inside of a mechanism that keeps him alive.
123
And he has these TV head bodies with scary-looking tattered clothes so that he can move around.
124
One of the allies they create is this torn apart teddy bear called Giblet.
125
He's missing an eye, and has stitches all over his body, and uses a salvaged cane to walk.
126
Another creation of the prototype is Chum Chompkins, a rather fat and fuzzy toy with particularly wide hips and an offset eye that makes him look kinda dopey.
127
Only that wide belly is his mouth, but he also looks pretty hungry, so let's feed him a pizza,
128
and this burger, maybe a hot dog, and uh, french fries?
129
I guess you need a drink too to wash it all down.
130
The final experiment is Lily Lovebraids, a joyful girl with purple long braids that loves a good tea party.
131
Hi, I'm Lily Lovebraids!
132
But this experiment did not go to plan, and one of the former employees was transferred into this toy.
133
So, to gain the favor of the prototype, she captures Poppy and Kissy Missy, forcing the player to come to their rescue.
134
Stay where you are!
135
At last, the prototype finally has all of his enemies in one place.
136
And he would've gotten his revenge too if it weren't for that pesky player.
137
Even with the prototype in his final form, we still don't know what happens next, so I guess we'll have to wait and see until chapter 6.
138
But in the meantime, be sure to like the video and comment which character is your favorite.
139
And since we're having so much fun, go ahead and watch one of these other videos on screen now.
140
I said do it.

A ritmada narração ajuda a melhorar a fluência ao conectar frases como "So let's do this" e "Wow, that actually works really well" sem pausas desnecessárias.
