There's about 40 weapons in dead rails with loads of useless melees,
2
awful explosive weapons, and even a literal lightning cannon.
3
But which ones are worth using and which ones aren't even worth a second thought?
4
That's where we're going to find out in today's video where we're going to be using every single weapon,
5
placing them on a tier list,
6
and figuring out which ones you need to use right now.
7
Make sure you stick until the end because there's going to be some weapons
8
that you may not have even known are in the game.
9
And of course, hit that subscribe button so you can keep up with all of the latest videos.
10
Let's start off simple, the melees.
11
I know there's a lot of different ones in the game with unique stats,
12
but let's be real, they're all basically the same,
13
other than a couple that we'll cover separately.
14
The melees overall, though, are like the shovels,
15
pickaxes, cavalry sword, are basically all the same and deserve no higher than a C tier,
16
in my opinion.
17
They work if you have literally no other weapon,
18
but otherwise, zero point in using them.
19
The Excalibur, while a melee on its own, is absolutely ridiculous.
20
It basically just sprays lightning down at whatever you do a charged hit on,
21
and there's almost nothing to say about it other than the fact that it's super OP.
22
It's one of the few melees that I'd be proud to wield,
23
and I'd give it an S tier all day, any day.
24
The Vampire Knife needs little to no introduction.
25
It heals on doing damage,
26
and is the default weapon for the Vampire class.
27
It makes you basically invincible whenever you're playing that class,
28
but for anything else, it's honestly kind of buns,
29
other than doing charge shots.
30
But other than being a general upgrade over most other melees,
31
it's just generally as impractical as any other.
32
Definitely B tier.
33
Unless you're playing Vampire, then it's goaded.
34
The Spear of Longius? just Longinus?
35
Whatever you call this thing,
36
it is extremely rare, and it's one of the newest weapons in the game.
37
It's got a cool model,
38
and while a pretty rare find from just evil churches,
39
it basically covers anyone you hit in holy water,
40
causing them to get struck by lightning.
41
Kinda overall similar to the Excalibur in a sense,
42
though whenever I found it,
43
it was broken and I wasn't able to buy it.
44
I also couldn't find it again,
45
but if it does work how I think it does,
46
it is a solid S-tier weapon.
47
The revolver was always a super solid starter gun,
48
and while it still is, there are some issues.
49
While reloading, it only reloads one bullet at a time,
50
which luckily it can be interrupted.
51
Damage is kind of exactly what you'd expect,
52
where it's pretty solid and it sounds really nice too,
53
though sometimes it doesn't have a gunshot sound.
54
No idea why, but it is really nice though for early game and a really nice B tier.
55
The Mauser is more of the same with the revolver,
56
but generally it is a little bit better.
57
While it does appear to do about the same damage,
58
it has a magazine which reloads really fast,
59
and for sure one of the best secondaries in the entire game.
60
Another solid B tier.
61
I used to really hate the navy revolver because it was slow
62
and didn't do that much damage to compensate
63
But now it fires as fast as you can fire it
64
and reloads all six rounds in a matter of like two seconds The best part?
65
It does insane damage for what it is
66
and it's also really easy to get now I don't think anyone has an issue with A tier on this.
67
The Flintlock.
68
This thing is also a pretty new weapon,
69
and for sure one of the most unique as far as ranged weapons go.
70
It's not super rare being found in most places that other weapons can be,
71
and it does a ton of damage.
72
Sadly, the reload time is a little bit longer than desired,
73
but it is pretty good if you're dealing mostly with smaller enemies or one-on-one engagements.
74
If you're fighting a ton of werewolves, though, you're absolutely cooked.
75
B tier seems pretty fair,
76
but let me know if you think otherwise.
77
The Thompson.
78
This was originally an admin-only weapon,
79
but not too long ago got added as a game pass,
80
and is now honestly one of those things that I would say is a must-have.
81
Lore-wise, it is considered a futuristic weapon,
82
and while not doing a ton of damage,
83
it is a ton of fun,
84
but sadly though, it does chew through ammo pretty quick.
85
It's good for those enemies that just tank loads of shots,
86
since your magazine feels like it just goes on forever,
87
but in general, I would just give it an S tier,
88
just for the fun factor alone.
89
I have such a love-hate relationship with the sawed-off because on one hand,
90
it is a load of fun It's super common and can do a ton of damage Keyword,
91
can Because on the other hand,
92
half of the time that I use it,
93
it either does very little
94
or zero damage This has been an issue since the weapon was added
95
and I'm honestly shocked that they never fixed it When it does work,
96
it is great, but half of the time that it doesn't So sadly,
97
I have to leave it with probably a C tier at the moment When it works though,
98
absolute A tier
99
The shotgun honestly always has been a favorite what's not to love It's got insane damage fast interruptible reload
100
and honestly it just looks great Sadly though It does have the same issue
101
that the sawed off has making it really inconsistent
102
And in a game where you need really consistent damage You can just lose an entire run
103
because it decides not to do any damage I really do love it
104
and i'm sure that most people do as well
105
But it does need to be fixed for the moment b
106
tier Most of us are gonna know about the blunderbuss It's not super common,
107
but you can find it decently often in general stores,
108
and it's easy enough to find at the prison.
109
It just shreds through anything.
110
Sure, reload times are long,
111
but that's literally the only downside beyond it just not having a new animation yet.
112
Nothing less than 8s here is acceptable for this thing.
113
It's really good.
114
The Springfield is a single-shot,
115
long-reload, high-damage weapon that performs very similar to,
116
like, a long version of the Flintlock mentioned earlier.
117
They're pretty rare, and I only ever saw one in the course of multiple hours in matches,
118
But when I did find it, I was super hyped.
119
There's not really a ton to say, it's basically just good.
120
Good, but super slow.
121
I think for the moment,
122
B tier suits it well.
123
The elephant rifle is an absolute beast.
124
It's basically just a double-barreled shotgun that fires slugs and does a butt-ton of damage.
125
The reload isn't super long for it too,
126
meaning that you have an amazing option for whenever you just need to do a ton of damage really fast.
127
I'd say it is a solid S tier find.
128
The basic rifle, or lever action rifle,
129
was at one time the general just best weapon in the game.
130
But after so many weapons being added,
131
new animation overhauls, and just generally more options to play with,
132
uh, yeah, it's still great.
133
The only downside now is that you can't spam,
134
fire, and reload at the same time,
135
kind of like how you used to be able to do with the shotgun,
136
but it does have an interruptible reload,
137
and still some great damage and aesthetics.
138
So I think A-tier definitely works well.
139
The bolt action rifle is basically the same thing as the lever action At least it used to be
140
Because now it has its own set of animations A new reload,
141
new damage numbers, and frankly just clean gameplay It's amazing on its own,
142
but you won't be melting crowds with it For smaller groups of enemies
143
or just single heavy enemies It definitely holds its own very well
144
And with having a pretty quick reload I'm more than happy to give it an A tier
145
The revolving rifle is one of the newest weapons in Dead
146
Rails Being one of the few remaining weapons to not have gotten an animation overhaul that it so,
147
so desperately needs.
148
It performs really similar to both the rifle and the bolt action,
149
but it's a little bit closer to the bolt action in the way that it reloads,
150
and generally it's just a fantastic choice to take into battle against most enemies in the game.
151
It did take me several hours and like three total matches to find it,
152
but if you do come across it,
153
it's more than a worthy pickup,
154
and again, an easy A tier.
155
If you haven't used the crossbow, just don't.
156
Don't, don't ever.
157
There's nothing to say.
158
F tier.
159
Next.
160
The Firework Gun was added during the 4th of July update,
161
and I thought that it would be gone after that,
162
but luckily, it does persist.
163
It's actually a fairly common find alongside the ammo itself,
164
and it's really similar to the Electrocutioner in the sense that it does a ton of AoE damage per hit.
165
It makes for a great panic weapon,
166
especially if you're playing classes like Werewolf or Survivalist that get big damage buffs,
167
and though some may disagree,
168
I'm definitely going with S tier on this.
169
One of the icons of Deadrails is going to be the Electrocutioner.
170
This weapon right here.
171
The reason you aren't seeing gameplay of it,
172
though, is because the whole Tesla lab is just disabled,
173
since there's two brain jars,
174
and every piece of Nikola Tesla was named Template.
175
She just couldn't be built.
176
So apparently there's no way to actually use it right now,
177
but we all know what the Electrocutioner is.
178
S-tier, all the way, anything less than that is a sin.
179
The Maxim Gun is basically as old as the game itself,
180
being the first, and for the moment,
181
the only mountable automatic turret-type weapon in the game.
182
It's commonly found out in the wild and can be bought at gun stores.
183
It's pretty fun to use,
184
but sadly, playing solo doesn't give it much of a use.
185
Though if I'm to rate it fairly on just the weapon itself and how it performs,
186
I'd definitely say it's a B tier.
187
Damage does seem to have been buffed from the last time that I used to be super into this game,
188
but it definitely can help out if you've got a team with you,
189
since you can just literally mount them anywhere on the train.
190
The Ballista is an insane sniper and great for quickscoping.
191
Oh wait, wrong game.
192
The Ballista is a mountable giant crossbow,
193
and similarly to the Maxim Gun,
194
it's not super useful in solo games,
195
and generally it's quite a bit worse.
196
It does do a decent amount of damage,
197
and the ammo type isn't particularly rare,
198
but it's very situational given its very poor accuracy,
199
horrendous range, slow reload time,
200
and uh, yeah, that's pretty much it.
201
It's not super bad or anything,
202
it's just not really that crazy,
203
and I think it's worthy of C tier on the list at this time.
204
The Cannon, much like the last two,
205
is a mountable weapon that is decently rare,
206
having I believe only one location that it can be found,
207
and an explosive ammo type that more than makes up for its rarity and damage.
208
I mean, it's a literal cannon.
209
What more do you want?
210
This one is decently useful in solo,
211
especially against like massive hordes of enemies,
212
and in general, I have few if any bad things to say about it.
213
Though, one of the good things I can say is it gets a nice spot right at A tier.
214
For explosives, I'm gonna dump them all into kind of the same tier.
215
That includes mines, dynamite, explosive barrels, all of it.
216
I don't really ever find them useful as far as damage dealers goes,
217
given how otherwise dangerous they are to you and your teammates.
218
And while dynamite used to be great for breaking into banks,
219
no one really does that anymore.
220
What more can I say other than of course,
221
I believe they are the epitome of what D tier weapons are.
222
In kind of keeping things grouped together,
223
throwables and touchables is what this segment is going to be called.
224
That's going to be things like molotovs,
225
holy water, bear traps, crucifixes, that kind of thing.
226
These all generally do feel decently useful,
227
especially because they pose a lot less risk than some of the explosive weapons do,
228
but they're all generally kind of mid in their own right,
229
be it because of their rarity,
230
being extremely expensive to buy,
231
or their effectiveness just generally being kind of buggy.
232
For that, I'm gonna have to go with probably about a C tier overall.
233
I don't hate any of them in particular,
234
just generally I'd rather sell some of these to get some cash,
235
and I don't feel like they've ever been flushed out as well as they could have been.
236
Lastly, the Tesla Cannon, and the second case for the Electrocutioner.
237
This thing is an absolute monster,
238
costing an insane amount of money,
239
and just overall taking up way too much space.
240
This single-shot weapon is basically the cannon combined with the Electrocutioner.
241
It gets a single shot that can only be reloaded by hitting it three times with lightning,
242
and it can be bought only at evil churches.
243
I mean, it's just gotta be S-tier.
244
This thing is ridiculous, though I couldn't actually find one,
245
so they're probably pretty rare,
246
but generally, the one time I've used it, it was pretty crazy.
247
Well, boys, we have done it.
248
We've made it to the end,
249
and we've basically made a pretty sizable tier list here.
250
I know I combined some things together,
251
but come on, do you really want to hear me explain the differences between the pickaxe and the shovel?
252
What do you think of the list overall, though?
253
Was I right about everything, as usual?
254
Or do you want to rip the head off my shoulders?
255
In-game, of course.

Analisando a fala do vídeo, podemos notar algumas estruturas gramaticais e expressões interessantes:

  • Spear of Longius: Pode gerar confusão devido ao som inesperado do “g” e a entonação correta necessária.
